YNs Pov:
it had been a month since me and Ellie broke up.
I guess we decided that we are better off as friends. But since our break up, I haven't seen Ellie at all. I wanted to avoid her at all costs, but that's kinda hard because me and her are in the same friend group.
I'm at my café, that I work in and I'm taking orders as usual. I work at the small café in front of our college where a lot of students from college come in to buy some snacks or a coffee to stay up.
The door opens and Abby Anderson walks in. She's a football player at our college. She walks up to the counter, greets me and orders a cappuccino.
" To go or would you rather prefer to stay?"
Abby looks up from her phone and looks at me
" To go"
She says, and sits down on the chairs in front of the counter .
" I've seen you before, you go to our college, right?"
She asks me and smiles .
" yeah I work part-time here for some extra cash"
She nods and puts down her phone. I hand her her coffee and she puts it on the table.
" Weren't you one of the organizers? The game at the beginning of the year where we raised a fundraiser."
I nod.
" yeah that was me and my girlfri-"
My smile drops and I just shake my head .
" yeah me and my friend organized it together"
Abby Raises an eyebrow and smirks.
" a girlfriend, huh? I didn't think you would be into girls."
I raise my eyebrow.
" why don't I look gay enough for you?"
" no that's not what I meant I just-My gaydar isn't the best sorry."
" no no no it's all right" I say slightly laughing
" you're not the only one, how many boys do you think hit on me?"
Abby drinks a sip of her coffee and chuckles.
" well I hope none of those boys can compete against me"
I grin.
" why do you want to ask me out?"
I ask while continuing to tidy up my work counter.
" well since you offered.... Would you like to go out with me?"
I stop what I'm doing and look at her. A Distraction would be nice. I saw Ellie talk with multiple girls so why can't I?
"Mhh.... As long as it doesn't involve football sure"
"Ouch" Abby says and makes a sad face. "Alright but only this once."
I smile as she picks up her coffee."When is your last shift"
"I finish at 7 pm"
"Amazing Ill pick you up here once your done"
She says and winks at me before leaving.

I finish up cleaning, and change back into my normal clothes. I open the messages, that i got on my phone and I see Dinas name pop up.

YN friday party at Jesses place
I smile and shake my head.

Aight
Whos gonna be there?

Its a Partyyy? So im hoping alot of people.
But If u mean Ellie yeah shes gonna be there.
Not alone
I roll my eyes. Obviously Ellie had already found someone different. I hear a knock on the door and see Abby behind the door. I shake my thoughts about Ellie off and I go to open the door.
I thought the date would be awkward like always, but surprisingly, it wasn't. Abby made jokes that kept me laughing throughout the entire date and we bonded through our shared interests and hobbies, which we actually shared a lot of.She took me to a restaurant me and Ellie couldn't afford, and paid for my food.
This was also a change from what me and Ellie used to do. We would usually buy cheap Ramen or chips and eat them at our secret spots.
Nearing the end of our date Abby insisted on driving me home. Unlike Ellie, Abby already had a car. Abby drove me home, taking the road me and Ellie used to take, when Ellie used to walk me home. Memories floded me, when I saw the tree Ellie kissed me for the first time. I sigh and yet again, try to forget about Ellie.
Abby stops the car at my apartment and I turn to look at her.
"Thanks for today it was really nice" I tell her with a smile and Abby smiles. "It was. We should do this again sometime." I nod.
"Would you maybe like to come to a party with me? Jesse is throwing one on Friday, and I really don't want to go alone"
Abby grins and nods. "Actually I would love to"
I blush a little and I thought of kissing Abby, but I thought it was a little too early. But before I could do something Abby took my cheek and kissed me on the lips. Even tho I was taken aback I stilled kissed Abby back before pulling away.
"Ill see you tomorrow then" Abby says and I nod before going out of the car.
You:
Ill be bringing someone too the Di.
I text Dina with a smile on my lips.

Friday cane around and Abby and I were hanging out the entire week. She was so nice. The whole time I was with her, I noticed alot of things she did, that were the exact opposite of Ellie. Which didn't necessarily mean that those were negative things.
Like we planned, Abby picked me up later that day to drive us to Jesses party. "Wow you look hot" Abby said and I blush. "So do you" i say back.
Arriving at the Party, I left Abbys side to go and find Dina.
"Hey Jesse how are you" I say and I hug him.
"Good YN. Nice to finally see you again, it's been a while since you and Ellie broke up."
I nod and look around the house.
"Have you seen Dina?"
I ask him and he points to the Balcony. I nod thanking him and once I step out of the House and set foot on the balcony I see Dina. She notices me and immediately hugs me.
"Oh YN. I was waiting for you since the party started"
I smile at her and she hand me a cigarette.
"So where is your date?" Dina asks smirking.
"Shes with her friends rn."
Dina nods and lights my cigarette. "Have you seen Ellies girl"
I shake my head. I didn't want to see Ellies other girl. Just because we broke up doesn't mean I didn't love her anymore.
"First of, No and second of all, There is a reason why we broke up, and if the girl is smart shes gonna break up with Ellie too"
I say. Dina looks behind me and signals me to be quiet.
"There you are Di. It was hard to find yo-"
I hear Ellie behind me and my heartbeat quickens. I turn around and look at her, just to notice she was already looking at me. Beside her there was a girl.
I laughed out loud.
The girl was my height, she had the exact same hair color and shape as me and her face features looked a lot like mine.
The girl looked at Ellie and then back at me.
"Im sorry. That was rude. Nice to meet you. Im YN"
Ellie is looking at me with a glare and the girl rolls her eyes. I look over to Dina just to see her grinning at me. I smirk back and look back at the pair.
"Im gonna go... mh date is waiting for me"
"Date?" Ellie asks and I nod. "Yeah"
"Who's your date?" She asks again and I shrug.
"I don't think thats any of your buisn-"
"Ok then, leave and go to your girlfriend," Ellie says in an agressive tone and wrappes her hand on the girls waist.
"Okay" I sigh and go to find Abby. Abby was with a group of people and once she saw me she smiled and waved at me, to come over. On the table there were some cocaine lines and some pre rolled joints. Abby showed me a joint.
"You wanna smoke?"
"Yeah lets go outside my friend is there."
I saw Ellie come inside the house again. She saw Jesse and both of them came over to the table. They paid for 4 lines and then snorted them.
I rolled my eyes. Of course. These drugs were a reason why we broke up. She would always get mad at me and be super jealous. All the fighting caught up with me at some point.
Me and Abby left, and went on the balcony, where i introduced Abby to Dina and we started smoking the weed. Abby and Dina seemed to understand eachother well. It made me smile. Its always better when you best friend like your partner.
Partner? Wasn't it a bit too soon to think of Abby like that? We heard Jesse and Ellie come outside too and Dina introduced them to Abby. Unlike Jesse, Ellie didnt even shake Abbys hand when she offered.
Both sat down and we passed the weed around. After Jesse asked how we met, Abby smiled.
"Well she makes the best coffees." Jesse laughs and agrees with her. "And after seeing how cute she was, I took her out to a restaurant."
"A restautant?" Ellie suddenly cuts in and Abby looks at her.
"Yeah...I drove us there" Ellie smiles and nods.
"What an upgrade. So money does matter to you. Thats why you broke up with me, right?"
I shake my head, and Ellie bites the inside of her cheeks, something she usually did when she was getting angry.
"No? Alright. Maybe she just fucks you better." I gasp and stand up. "Get out Ellie" I tell her and Jesse takes Ellie by the arm to get her out of this situation.
"A tip? She likes it from behind more, than when you're on top"
Ellie says in a loud tone, which a lot of people hear, including Abby and Ellies new girl.
How could she? I feel my eyes tearing up and I excuse myself.
Abby follows me outside and turns me around. "Hey are you okay?" She asks in a worried tone.
"Yeah. Im sorry. Ellie shes.. shes my ex and a dick" i apologize and Abby smiles at me gently.
"Yeah I figured. Should I drive you home?" Abby asks and I shake my head. I needed some alone time.
"No I just need some alone time alright?" Abby nods and hugs me. "Ill call you tomorrow"
