"So when you were about 6 months old..............

Flashback

Ages- :
Jin- 15
Yoongi 14
Hobi-13
Namjoon-12
Jimin-2
Tae-2
Jungkook- 6 months

(6 months before their parents died)

As 14-year-old Yoongi sat backstage, clutching his guitar, anticipation and hope filled his heart. He eagerly awaited the arrival of his family, their promised presence a beacon of support in the sea of performers. But as time trickled by, his excitement turned to anxiety, then to disappointment. He felt a pang inside his heart looking at all the other participants with their family members. He felt lonely.

With just five minutes remaining until his performance, Yoongi felt a sinking feeling in his chest. Doubt crept in, overshadowing his once vibrant enthusiasm. Despite his efforts to hold back tears, the sting of abandonment pricked at his eyes. Summoning every ounce of courage, he stepped onto the stage, his heart heavy with the burden of loneliness.

As he began to sing and play, his fingers danced across the strings with skill born of passion. Yet, his gaze wandered, a silent plea for the familiar faces that never appeared. With each note, his longing for their presence intensified, a bittersweet melody underscoring his solitary performance. Though his family's absence pierced his heart, Yoongi poured his soul into his music, a poignant symphony of both sorrow and resilience echoing through the empty space.

Winning first place should have been a moment of pure joy, but instead, a heavy sadness weighed down his heart. The absence of his family cast a shadow over his victory, leaving him feeling hollow and uncelebrated. It was as if his triumph meant nothing without their presence, as if their absence stripped away the significance of his achievement. With a forced smile masking his disappointment, he accepted the trophy, but inside, the emptiness gnawed at him. With a stoic expression, he left the stage, carrying the weight of unacknowledged success and the ache of longing for the support that never came.

As he stepped through the threshold of his home, the scene before him twisted the knife of betrayal deeper into his wounded heart  he saw everyone in the living room. They were all talking and laughing together, like they hadn't made him sad by not coming to his show. It hurt him a lot. He felt like they didn't care about his feelings. Tears filled his eyes as he watched them having fun without him. It made him feel alone and ignored.

He was standing their silently untill Mrs kim (their mother) noticed him "yoongi?...you came back?....how was your day baby?".

With tears streaming down his cheeks, Yoongi gazed at her, his voice heavy with hurt and confusion. "Why did you all promise to come see my performance if you never intended to?" His words, though spoken plainly, carried the weight of his shattered trust and the ache of betrayal

Suddenly, a wave of realization washed over everyone, a collective pang of guilt piercing their hearts. They had promised to be there for Yoongi, but amidst the chaos of life, their pledge slipped their minds. The weight of their forgetfulness settled heavily upon them, overshadowing the joy of the moment with the regret of their neglect.

Mrs. Kim gently passed 6-month-old Jungkook into her husband's arms, her heart heavy with the weight of remorse. With cautious steps, she approached Yoongi, her voice trembling with regret as she spoke. "Yoongi, sweetheart, we can explain," she began, her tone soft and apologetic. "We were all prepared to be there for you, but suddenly Jungkook fell ill, and everything else slipped from our minds... I'm so sorry, baby." Each word dripped with sincerity, a desperate attempt to mend the broken trust and soothe the pain in Yoongi's eyes.

Yoongi's bitter chuckle cut through the air like a jagged knife, his words dripping with anguish and resentment. "Stop lying, Mom," he spat, his voice laced with pain. "You all don't care about me... You never wanted to come to see my performance in the first place." With trembling hands, he wiped away the tears that cascaded down his cheeks, his heartache palpable. "At least one person could have come, right? But no... Jungkook is more important than me to all of you... Since the day he was born, everyone's world revolves around Jungkook..."

The accusation hung heavy in the air, a damning indictment of their priorities. "You all are very bad and selfish," Yoongi concluded, his voice trembling with betrayal.

The words struck Mr. Kim like a blow to the chest, igniting a firestorm of anger within him. Without a second thought, he lashed out, his hand connecting with Yoongi's cheek with a force that sent shockwaves through the room. A few drops of blood welled up from the corner of Yoongi's mouth, a painful reminder of the physical and emotional wounds that now marred their once-unbreakable bond.

Mr. Kim's grip on Yoongi's hand tightened painfully, his voice dripping with disdain and contempt. "Your worthless and shitty performance is not more important than my jungkook's health"
The words fell like daggers, each one piercing Yoongi's heart with a sharp sting of rejection. "Stop being so jealous of your brother," Mr. Kim continued, his voice dripping with disdain. "Instead of wasting your time on meaningless and useless like singing and playing guitar, why don't you do something worthwhile for once?" The bitterness in his tone left a bitter taste in the air, a stark reminder of the growing rift between them.

Yoongi's heart sank as his father's words cut through him like a knife. The pain of rejection and the weight of his father's disappointment bore down on him, threatening to crush his spirit.

As Yoongi stood there, grappling with his father's harsh words, a flood of memories washed over him, each one a painful reminder of his father's favoritism towards his brothers. He couldn't shake the memories of countless instances where he was pushed aside, his needs and desires deemed less important than those of his siblings. It was a pattern that had repeated itself time and time again, leaving Yoongi feeling insignificant and unloved.

Deep down, he knew the truth—his father's love for him had waned long ago, tarnished by a mistake he had made years ago. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't escape the weight of his past transgressions, couldn't erase the disappointment etched into his father's eyes.

The realization was like a dagger to his heart, the pain searing through him with a fierce intensity. It was a bitter pill to swallow, knowing that he would never be enough in his father's eyes, no matter what he did. And as the truth settled over him like a suffocating blanket, Yoongi couldn't help but feel his heart shatter into a million pieces, the shards of his broken dreams cutting deep into his soul.

With a final barrage of harsh words, Mr. Kim stormed out of the room, leaving behind a heavy silence tinged with fear and uncertainty. As he departed, he issued a chilling warning to the rest of the family: stay away from Yoongi, don't speak to him, and told Mrs. Kim to not let Yoongi have his dinner as a punishment for his perceived disrespect and meanness.

Yoongi felt his heart shatter into a million pieces as the weight of his father's condemnation settled over him like a suffocating blanket. All he had done was express his sadness, reaching out for the support and understanding he so desperately craved from his own family. Instead, he was met with rejection and punishment, his feelings dismissed as irrelevant.

It was a cruel and unjust punishment, one that Yoongi couldn't comprehend. Tears welled up in his eyes as he struggled to make sense of the situation. How could his own family turn against him like this? It felt like a betrayal of the deepest kind, a betrayal of the love and trust that should bind a family together.

Meanwhile, Tae, Jimin, and Jungkook, too young to fully grasp the gravity of the situation, looked on in confusion, their innocent faces reflecting the turmoil unfolding around them. Namjoon and Hobi, old enough to understand but too afraid to defy their father's orders, kept their distance from Yoongi, their hearts heavy with guilt and helplessness.

In that moment, Yoongi felt more alone than ever, abandoned by the very people who were supposed to love and support him unconditionally. And as he sat there, broken and defeated, the unfairness of it all weighed heavily on his soul, a bitter reminder of the cruel realities of his existence.

In a rare act of courage, Jin defied the silent fear that hung over their home and reached out to Yoongi, wrapping him in a gentle embrace. Though the threat of their father's anger loomed, Jin's only concern was comforting his distraught brother.

"Yoongi," Jin whispered softly, his voice a soothing presence in the midst of turmoil, "don't let Dad's words get to you. He doesn't always think before he speaks." His words carried a reassuring message: their father's harshness wasn't a reflection of Yoongi's worth.

With a sigh of relief, Yoongi leaned into Jin's embrace, finally allowing himself to release the emotions he had bottled up. Jin had always been there for him, understanding the unfair treatment he endured for their dad. Despite facing resistance from their father, Jin remained a steadfast source of support for Yoongi. And in that moment, as Yoongi cried in Jin's arms, he found comfort in knowing he wasn't alone.
Even though their dad wasn't kind to Yoongi, he found that comfort in Jin's love. To him, Jin cared for him like a dad should, something he never got from their father. In Jin's arms, Yoongi felt safe and cared for, like he belonged. It was a special bond, stronger than just being brothers, built on understanding and loyalty. As Yoongi leaned into Jin's hug, he felt a bit hopeful, knowing he had someone who would always be there for him, no matter what.

Jin apologized to him and said "we are sorry for not being their yoongia...you must have felt lonely...but trust me...I can't say anything for dad but we all were more than excited to come...but jungkook suddenly got sick and he got a very high fever....he won't stop crying and coughing...we all were so worried and stressed that we couldn't think of anything else.....I'll do anything to make it up to you just tell me"

Yoongi remained silent, his emotions pouring out as he clung to Jin's comforting embrace. Namjoon and Hobi watched with heavy hearts, their sympathy for their brother Yoongi overwhelming any fear of their father's retribution. Without hesitation, they offered words of reassurance, determined to provide comfort to Yoongi despite the potential consequences they might face later.

Flashback ended

Yoongi wiped the tears which rolled out from his eyes while telling all this to jungkook but his tears didn't stop.

This might look like a very small thing some people might think that yoongi is overeating, but to Yoongi, it's a wound that still bleeds after 12 years. His father's actions that day cut deep, leaving scars that refuse to heal, no matter how much time has passed.
