The story starts with a book with the title "Monster Guide" in the cover with two logos on it. One of a green clover and the other one being a blue moon with a magic wand. The book opens and the camera zooms into the book before everything turns white.

In the small town of Ponyville, the sun is rising and many ponies go out of their homes early, some to go to work, others just to hang out with their friends, and there's also other ponies who leave their homes to go out and have fun adventures. The latter is what we're gonna focus on for our protagonist.
On a small house, a young male pony with green fur and black mane by the name of Lucky Charm wakes up and immediately gets out of bed with a smile on his face. He grabs his pair of glasses, puts on a saddlebag and goes to the door where he sees his mother waiting for him to bid him farewell. They both hug and the younger pony leaves his home and outside of Ponyville.
As he's walking down a path, he feels something moving on his saddlebag and suddenly opens, revealing a cute little brown fox with 9 tails eating one of his snacks. The pony smiles and pets its head before the fox gets off the saddlebag and starts following him.

Not so far from them, there's a blue unicorn wearing a purple magician hat and cape, pulling a wagon effortlessly before she sees both Lucky and the kitsune. She waves at them and they all walk together down the road.
They cross mountains, fire swamps, beaches, haunted forests and so many other places while encountering amazing creatures on the way like Grass bipedal porcupines, red bulky fire tigers, or big quadruped amphibian creatures with orange padding, and filaments just to name a few.

On a distant region, Lucky finds himself on a stadium facing against a tall grey earth pony with silver eyes and long creamy-blonde mane that covers her left eye with bangs. She grabs a magical sphere and throws it forward. Before it oils touch the ground, the sphere opens and a small portal opens, releasing a huge bipedal dragon-like creature with traits of a hammerhead shark.
🎶Throw a ball🎶
🎶Don't stop till we Catch 'Em All!🎶
The green pony smirks and grabs a similar magic sphere and throws it forward, releasing a tall monster with shaggy white fur, purple eyes with bushy eyebrows and long strands of fur covering its mouth.
The snow monster and the Shark-like dragon release a powerful roar and rushes towards the other before clashing.

Lucky meets with Twilight and greets her, not knowing that Trixie was there as well glaring at the Princess. Twilight notices this and she glared back at her. Both rivals glare at each other for a couple of minutes with a clueless Lucky Charm in the background.
The scene changes to him stopping Pinkie Pie from eating a cake-like creature which's head resembles clumps of whipped cream styled-like hair with large crowning blob flanked by two loop-like "bangs".
Lucky and Applejack go out camping and decide to cook something while chatting. For a moment they both look away, Lucky's kitsune companion chose to eat the entire food and ran away after both earth ponies found out.
Rainbow Dash and Lucky are walking down a haunted forest, teasing and scaring each other. At one point they start telling horror stories before Rainbow suddenly yells in panic and flies away, giving Lucky the last laugh before he realizes that behind him was a ghost-like slender brown tree with spider legs and a glowing red eye visible through a hole near the top. Lucky screams and runs away at such speeds that it could give Rainbow a good competition.
Fluttershy and Lucky are at a flower garden feeding many different creatures of all sizes, however, when a pony sized yellow tarantula started approaching Fluttershy, Lucky immediately got up and ran away as far as possible, leaving a confused fluttershy and tarantula.
Lucky is acting at a stage as a fashion model with his kitsune partner by his side, both wearing flashy costumes that makes them look like an idol duo. They both start posing while photos are being taken by many ponies, meanwhile Rarity is looking at them from the backstage with pride and joy.

Lucky, Trixie and Pearl are walking down a road while pulling Trixie's wagon, when they immediately get stopped by a group of punks wanting to challenge them to a battle. The three look at each other and smile before grabbing a ball each and throwing them forward.
ONE!
🎶Now that our battle is done🎶
Lucky's snow creature loses the battle and goes back inside the ball. Lucky looks down tired and a little disappointed. A shadow towers over him and when he looks up he sees the grey pony who goes by Pearl, smiling at him and offering her hoof for a hoofshake. Lucky smiles back and shakes her hoof with a smile.
TWO!
🎶We're laughing, crying, under the sun🎶
The scene changes to a park where Lucky is sitting down studying a book about monsters with a cyan Pegasus with an orange side ponytail-styled mane. They both seem very invested on it and share their thoughts on the creatures that appear on said book.
🎶On THREE we'll be the best of buds!🎶
The Kitsune jumps between them and snuggles with both ponies, Trixie walks near and sits next to them and lastly Pearl with her dragon companion join them.
They all get up and go to get something to eat while talking about pretty much anything.

Pearl and Lucky are on some ancient ruins doing a research and exploring the place. Lucky stops and looks at a carving on the wall that has three creatures drawn in it. One is a blue and metallic sauropod-like creature, the second one is a white and pink dragon and the third one is a black and red mix between a sauropod and a centipede with huge dragon wings

🎶Go out there and explore🎶
🎶A new world awaits!🎶
Trixie is performing for a huge audience with some fireworks. As they get lit up and thrown into the sky, a giant Phoenix bird comes from the fire and starts flying around while leaving a trail of flames in the air along with the fireworks, delighting everypony, including Lucky and Pearl who find themselves amongst the crowd.

The scene changes to the three ponies climbing up a hill alongside the shark-dragon and the kitsune. When they all reach the top they take a look at the beautiful scenery. Beautiful skies, mountains, lots of wild creatures roaming freely and overall a new world full of places yet to be discovered. They all smile and continue their adventure around Equestria.
