The night of the comet - episode 2.
•• Mystic Grill
ALYSSSA SAT AT THE MYSTIC GRILL... sketching a full moon with a wolf howling. Jeremy, sat next to her, admiring her sketch and the way her nose crunched up when she concentrated.
He couldn't help but notice how cute she looked when she was focused.
'You're cute when you focus,' Jeremy said with a smile.
Alyssa blushed and took a sip of her drink. 'You think I'm cute?' she giggled. Before Jeremy could respond, Vicky Donovan approached them, causing Alyssa's smile to fade. Vicky was not a friend of hers, in fact, Alyssa hated her. If she could, she would have killed her, especially with how close Vicky and Jeremy seemed to be.
Jeremy asked Vicky what she was doing there. Alyssa rolled her eyes at his question. Vicky explained that she was fighting with Robert about her schedule and how she had been attacked by a rabid animal but only received kid's medicine. The whole time Alyssa was thinking ways to kill her in her head... Jeremy handed Vicky some pills, 'Here, knock yourself out. Literally.'
Vicky thanked him.. Alyssa mocked her... making Jeremy laugh and Vicky roll her eyes...
jeremy asked Vicky she if was watching the comet later.. in which she replied that she hadn't really thought about it, but he was easily convinced... Alyssa glared at Jeremy... Why why would he do that... Ask another girl to watch the comet.. Alyssa had to leave... she needed to get away before she snapped.
Without saying a word getting up from the table leaving.. Jeremy looked at her confused and followed her.
'Aly, where are you going?' he called after her.
Alyssa stuttered, 'Uh, I have to go feed my sheep.'
Jeremy chuckled, 'Sheep? Just one, or a whole herd?'
Alyssa groaned and rolled her eyes. 'Bye, Jeremy!' she said, walking faster.
Jeremy followed her, still curious about this sheep. 'No, I really want to know!' he insisted.
Alyssa sighed, 'He's probably dead since you won't leave me alone to feed him.'
Jeremy laughed, 'Oh no, that poor sheep.' Frustrated, Alyssa walked away, trying to get away from Jeremy's constant questions. He continued to follow her, joking about the imaginary sheep she was supposed to be taking care of.
As they walked, Alyssa couldn't help but imagine killing Vicky in her head. She was now starting to despise Jeremy for even talking to Vicky, let alone flirting with her... It the fact he invited her to their comet watching... Is Jeremy oblivious or just stupid?
Alyssa thoughts were both, Jeremy was obliviously stupid.. as she sat at the bar with Jeremy wanting to leave... Tyler approached Vicky... He could help but wonder... watching Alyssa and Jeremy talking and wondering why she looked upset.
Tyler knew something had to have happened with Vicky and Jeremy on summer break... Vicky may be a flirt but, to Jeremy.. she never even spoke to Jeremy... To Vicky he was just 'Elena's little brother' so, why she is so close or even speaking... Why now? And if something did happen... Why would he do that to Alyssa?... He looks at Alyssa with a sadness.. Wishing it was him and not punk boy...
Alyssa with built up jealousy and rage.. just staring at Jeremy.. when suddenly a mug on the table started to boil and bubbling...
Jeremey looks at the mug confused trying to figure out how that happened or why it was bubbling and steaming coming out of the mug...
Alyssa looks at the mug blankly and wonders if that was her. Was that her witchy magic powers her grams keeps talking about... was it actually true?
Her thoughts were running wild and she was scared... without a second thought starts running out the exit without looking back... Jeremy yells for her to come back but gets ignored.. he signs watching her go...

Mystic grill
Alyssa was sitting down with Tyler
"Why you with him?" Tyler asks annoyed and curious, Alyssa takes a fry from her plate and takes a bite before she replies "why are with Vicky?" She asks him with the dame tone he used with her
Tyler signs "his playing you, Aly. Can't you see that.. I don't want to see you get hurt" he says with while pulling her hair out of her face. "And I'm 95 percent curtain he and Vicky aren't just friends" he says with a slight snare to his voice.. Which makes Alyssa nod with agreeing.. before she could respond they turn to hear Jeremy ask a question that made Alyssa want to break his fingers.
"Hey, has anyone seen Vicki?"
"You're her stalker. You tell us." Tyler days with a slight snare to his voice
"I can't find her." Jeremy responds already annoyed..
"She probably found somebody else to party with. Sorry, pill pusher, I guess you've been replaced" Tyler says
"What's with the pill pusher?" Elena asks with curiosity and concern
"Ask him." Tyler says
"You wanna do this right now, Tyler?" Alyssa says with annoyance...
"Are you dealing?"
"his not dealing Elena" Alyssa says turning to Elena
"stay out of this, Alyssa" Alyssa and Elena start to argue, until Tyler speaks up "She's never gonna go for you"
"She already did. Over and over and over again" Jeremy says laced with venom.
"What?" Alyssa felt like her whole world was falling apart, like a bus had just hit her.. Jeremy looks over at Alyssa seeing her hurt expression.
"Alyssa, i- I can ---"
Tyler cuts him off "Yeah, right."
"You cheated on Alyssa with Vicki Donovan? Let me at him" Caroline goes to attack Jeremy but is stopped by Matt, Vicky's sister.. "Matt.. let me at him" Matt turned to Caroline saying how his not worth it, which makes Caroline sign with a nod..
"There's no way" Tyler says, looking at Alyssa who is still in shock, at this point Jeremy had already said what he said and might as well keep going right... wrong... In that moment Jeremy knew he had fucked up..
"And I didn't even have to force her into it" Jeremy says with anger.. jeremy knew he should stop speaking he was just making it worse for himself, looking at Alyssa who won't even look at him.
"What the hell is he talking about, Ty?" Matt Vicky's brother asks Tyler with anger in his voice
"Nothing, man, just ignore him, he's a punk." Everyone not noticing Tyler's finger's intertwined with Alyssa's trying to comfort her, seeing the sadness in her eyes...
"You know what, how about all of you shut up and help me find my sister?"
"We'll check the back." Bonnie says
"I'll check the square" Matt says looking at Alyssa with guilt in his eyes.
"I'll come with you" Jeremy grabs Alyssa hand, she pulls away "Alyssa" he says looking at her
"Oh, no, no, no. You are coming with me" Elena says to Jeremy "I think right now, Alyssa needs to be anywhere but with you" Alyssa smiles at Elena and walks away
"You slept with Vicky" Elena says "what the hell is wrong with you?"
"Stay out of it Elena"
"No, Jer.. I hope you know what your doing... because your going to lose her and for what, for a another girl... who mind you has a boyfriend"
"Mind your business"
"And don't get me started on you dealing? Is that your game now, dealing?" Elena says
"I'm not dealing"
"Look, I'm sick of the tough love speech, Jer. It's clearly having no impact." Elena says with frustration
"You and Jenna, between the two of you. Enough already!"
"We can stop if you want. Send you to a therapist where you'll be forced to deal with it or to rehab where you'll sit in a group and tell some stranger how you let your life fall apart. Or you could talk to me."
"I vote for none of the above" jeremy days walking away, Elena signs.

JEREMY HATED THAT HE HATED TO FACE ALYSSA... Knowing that he had cheated on her with Vicky...
But as he saw Alyssa sitting at a table alone, his heart raced with guilt and regret. Meanwhile, Tyler was sitting at the bar, watching Alyssa. He could see the sadness and hurt in her eyes and he wanted nothing more than to comfort her. However, he couldn't bring himself to approach her, knowing that she was still with Jeremy. He couldn't shake off the lingering feelings he had for her.
As Jeremy walked towards Alyssa, he couldn't help but glance at Vicky who was sitting at the bar with Tyler. He felt a pang of jealousy as he saw her kiss Tyler. He knew that he had no right to be jealous, but he couldn't help but feel hurt by Vicky's actions.
'Hey,' Jeremy said, trying to smile at Alyssa. Alyssa turned to look at him and immediately looked away. She couldn't stand the sight of him and Vicky together, knowing what they had done behind her back.
'I don't remember giving you an invitation to join me,' she said with a snare in her voice.
'I'm sorry, okay,' Jeremy replied.
'You told me nothing happened between you and Vicky.. and then you blurt out that you have... I don't know if I can forgive you for that,' Alyssa said angrily, getting up from her seat.
'Please, Aly,' Jeremy pleaded. 'I was a wreck when my parents died. You were there, but you weren't there. Vicky was, and it just happened.'
'What, because I wasn't there, you needed to sleep with someone else?' Alyssa said, tears welling up in her eyes.
'Oh, like you didn't screw around with Tyler over the summer,' Jeremy shot back, getting closer to her.
'Where were you when I needed you?' he continued angrily.
'I wasn't sleeping with Tyler,' Alyssa said, tears now flowing down her cheeks.
As Tyler and Vicky watched this exchange, they both felt a mix of emotions. They both knew they had feelings for the other, but they were both currently with Jeremy and Alyssa. Tyler turned to Vicky and signed, 'Why would you do that?'
'I don't know... it just happened,' Vicky replied, regret filling her voice. 'Are you going to hurt him?' She says concerned for jeremy knowing Tyler is protective over Alyssa.
'I want to so badly,' Tyler replied, clenching her fists. 'But I promised Alyssa I wouldn't. I'm waiting for her call.'
As Alyssa and Jeremy continued to argue, Alyssa finally asked him the question that had been weighing on her mind. 'Are you still sleeping with her?' she asked, her voice full of anger and hurt.
'No, not since the summer,' Jeremy replied, knowing that Alyssa wouldn't believe him.
'I'm going to go now,' Alyssa said, gathering her things. 'And if you follow me, I swear to God...'
Jeremy nodded, knowing that she was serious. As he watched her walk away, he couldn't help but curse under his breath. He knew he had messed everything up and had no one to blame but himself. As Alyssa left, Tyler couldn't help but feel torn. He wanted to comfort her, but he also knew that he needed to respect her space and her relationship with Jeremy. He watched as she walked out of the Mystic Grill, and he couldn't help but feel a sense of longing and regret.
If only he had been there for her when she needed him, things might have turned out differently. Now, he could only hope that she would forgive Jeremy and that they could eventually move past this betrayal. And maybe, just maybe, he could have a chance with Alyssa in the future.
