I opened my eyes and crawled out of bed and went to the bathroom I took a shower and did my skincare routine and got dressed in my school uniform I put my hair in my usual two buns with flowers I then went downstairs
No one was down yet I started making breakfast for myself and everyone
I started eating when mom came down "hi mom breakfast is on the counter" I said "thanks hun" she said grabbing a plate "how was work last night dad told me about that guy" I said "oh yeah um he ended up being ok the police didn't get any leads" she said "well at least he's ok" I said I looked at the time and got up "I should get going"I said "ok good luck we'll be watching" she said "thanks mom" I said
Time skip
I had just finished getting changed into the gym uniform I was talking with tsu when Iida came in "everyone get your game faces on we're entering the arena soon" he said I took a deep breath I could do this just keep smiling look friendly and you'll be fine
"Midoriya" todoroki walked up to izuku "hey todoroki what's up" he said "from a objective standpoint it's fairly clear I'm stronger than you" he said "yeah" izuku said in a small voice "However you've got almight in your corner helping you out I'm not here to pry about what's going on between you two but know that I will beat you you too Ito" he said turning to me
I looked at him shocked then slowly nodded "woah what's with all the decorations of war recently" Denki said "yeah what's your deal why are you picking a fight all of a sudden and right before we are getting started" kirishima said glancing over at me I smiled lightly at him "we're not here to be each other's friends don't forget this isn't a team effort" he said walking away
I was about to say something when izuku beat me to it "wait a second todoroki I don't know what's going on in your head or why you think you need to tell me that you'll beat me and yeah of course your betting than me in fact you probably have the most potential in the hero course that's why you got in so easily" he said glancing over at you "midoriya maybe your being a little hard on yourself and us" kirishima said
"No he's right you guys all the other courses are coming at us with every thing they got were all going to have to fight to stand out and I'll be aiming for the top too" he said "fine" todoroki said
"Well now that that's aside let's do are best everyone i know we are all going to be great we just have to want it enough" i said smiling then i stood up and walked over to todoroki "I hope you know that I'm not going to let you beat me easily I won't go down without a fight" I said looking at him straight in the eyes he nodded looking a little surprised
"Hello!! Make some noise all you mega sports fans get those cameras ready media hordes this year we're bringing you some of the hottest performances in sports festival history guaranteed I've only got one question before we get started are you ready!!!" Present mic yelled into the mic
"Let me hear you scream as are students make their way to the main stage" he shouted we started walking onto the field I smiled "welcome back to the ua sports festival where up and coming hero's will leave everything on the field as they fight for the chance to achieve world wide fame and celebrity these first group are no strangers to the spotlight you've know them from the standing villain attack there the dazzling lining up your tv with solid gold scales that's right it's the hero course students of class 1A" he said
We walked further onto the field and the crowd went wild "ahh I didn't know there would be so many people" izuku said panicking "I hope we are still able to give are best performances while all these eyes are watching us I suppose it's just another aspect of being a hero that we all have to get used to" Iida said
"when we are doing the challenges you won't really notice the crowd" i said reassuringly "how do you know!" Izuku asked "I've been in front of crowds before not nearly as many people as this but still" I said
He looked at me wondering when I have been in front of crowds before "present mic sure did talk us up a lot that makes me nervous how you feeling man" kirishima asked bakugo "I'm not worried it makes me want to win this thing even more" he said
"They haven't had nearly as much screen time but this next group is still full of talent welcome hero course class 1B" present mic announced "next up general studies classes C D and E support classes F G and H and finally the business classes I J and K give it up for all of UA first year contestants" he said everyone cheered
We all go to the middle I notice the purple haired Boy off to the side "now the interdictory speech" said midnight the r rated hero everyone blushed "um someone should talk to miss midnight about what she's wearing" kirishima said blushing "yeah that costume should come with a warning" Denki said also blushing "is that really appropriate apparel for a high school game" tokoyami said
"Silence everyone and for the student pledge we have Katsuki bakugo and Akari Ito" she said oh no I wasn't prepared for this and with bakugo to we both walked up "he's the first year rep" "I guess she did finish first and him second in the entrance test" "well atleast there akari" "yeah"
Bakugo walked up to the mic while I waited at his side "I just want to say I'm gonna win" he said I face palmed everyone began booing him I hit him on the arm he looked down at me I quickly grabbed the mic from him
I cleared my throat and everyone quieted down "I am really very sorry about him he's a tad over confident I would like to say that I hope you all do your best we are all here for different reasons but we have one thing in common we all want to be hero's and I hope you all achieve your dream so do your best because we only get so many chances" I said wow where did that come from I thought
There was silence then everyone cheered I walked down the stairs after bakugo "wow akari that was such a good speech you actually made us look kinda good" uraraka said smiling at me "oh thanks I just made it up on the spot I was kinda panicking" I said rubbing my neck
"Without further ado it's time for us to get started the first game of the festival what could it be" a screen appeared behind her with a wheel it was spinning it landed on obstacle race "ta da all of the classes will participate in this in this treacherous contest the track is four kola-misters around the outside of the stadium I don't want to restrain anyone at least in this game as long as you don't leave the course your free to do whatever your heart desires now then take your places contestant" she said
We headed to the start of the race I got ready the count down was three lights one went out should I use my wings? The second one went out probably that way I can fly over the obstacles the third light went out "begin!" Midnight yelled we all ran forward threw a tunnel I decided once we got out I would use my wings suddenly there was ice on the ground todoroki I thought I watched him get out of the tunnel everyone was frozen I just simply unfroze myself and spread my wings they sprouted from my back and I flew up
Everyone looked up at me as I flew forwards
Her wings flap like this and she can fly really fast if she wants
Momo bakugo aoyama and kirishima all broke free two they yelled at todoroki I caught up to him "nice trick back there" I said he looked to the side and did a double take "you have wing?" He asked "yep" I said then flew upwards out of the range of his attacks
Suddenly mineta came flying towards todoroki yelling when he was kicked by a robot they were from the entrance exam there were zero point robots and the smaller one to I was still in the air I shrugged everyone was frozen in front of them todoroki put his hand on the ground and froze it he froze the robots and I flew above them
"That's todoroki from class 1A pulling ahead to a early lead what a devastating display" I flew upward and flew towards him "and there akari Ito also from class 1A" present mic said I flew forward and caught up easily with todorokiflying next to him next up was a bunch of pillars with ropes I simply flew above them still neck and neck with todoroki
I could fly ahead of him but I didn't want to be a open target we reached a field which was a land mine I decided to finally fly ahead I heard a yell and flew to the side as a explosion flew right next to me I flew up and towards the entrance todoroki and bakugo were fighting "Ito is getting close to the finish line" present mic announced
Then I heard a big explosion behind me and I looked over my shoulder to see izuku flying towards me I dodged and flew towards him he used todoroki and bakugo as footing and pushed them down creating another explosion I flew up to avoid it then flew towards him I flew into the tunnel right behind izuku and he got threw first I flew in right behind him
"Izuku midoriya is are first place champion and akari ito is are second place I landed "izuku you did amazing!!" I said hugging him tightly "thanks akari" he said hugging back she smells like nutmeg and roses izuku thought I ran over to uraraka hugging her she hugged back
"Only the top forty three will advance to the next round but don't be to let down if you didn't make the cut we made other opportunities for you too shine now the real fun is about to begin the chance to fully move yourselfs into the limelight give it your best let's see what we have in store for you next will your wildest fantasy's come to life or could it be the waiting is torture prepare yourselfs for this" midnight said
A cavalry battle "let me explain the participants will form teams of two to four people as they see fit and one team can have five people in theory it's basically the same as a regular play ground game buy there is one difference each player has been assigned a point value based on the results of the obstacle course the point assignment goes up by increments of five starting from the bottom for example forty third place is five points and forty first is worth ten and the point value assigned to the first place is ten million"
everyone turns to poor izuku I put a hand on his arm and smile at him "first years these are the rules that you'll abide by the game it's self will last fifteen minutes individual point values will be added together to reach your team total everyone will know how much your worth thanks to your head bands swipe as many headbands as you can to raise your teams score stolen headbands must be worn from the neck up so the more you steal the harder it will be to manage them and another thing even if your headband gets stolen or your team falls down you can keep playing until times up this is going to be tough you can use your quirks as much as you like but there are still rules make a team fall on purpose and I'll slap you with a red card you'll be disqualified now you've got fifteen minutes to build your teams I recommend you get started"
I start thinking about a team when I was surrounded by a bunch of people "you should join my team" "no mine" "no im way better" "please join my team" they all started yelling at each other "oh um" I started to say when a hand grabbed me and pulled me out of the circle of people "hey akari join my team?"it was izuku "oh hi izuku um yeah sure" I said "really great"he said smiling "should we look for more teammates" I asked
"yeah maybe we split up" he said I nodded and looked around while izuku walked over to some of are classmates suddenly someone grabbed my wrist "join my team tulips" it was bakugo tulips!? "oh I'm sorry but I already agreed to be on a team with izuku I'm sorry" I said
He looked angry "really your choosing that nerd over me?!" He said "no it's not that at all it's just he asked first" I said he tsked and then walked away
I walked over to izuku to find tokoyami and uraraka and a girl with pink hair and weird goggles "hey akari!!" Uraraka said "hey we ready?" I asked izuku "I think so" we got into formation with pink girl in the back tokoyami in front and uraraka and me on the sides
The timer buzzed "oh goody let's get this party started" midnight says I was on with bakugo kirishima mina and sero I was the right side 3 2 1 "go!!" Everyone instantly went for us "not even giving us a chance such is the fate of the pursuit make your choice midoriya" tokoyami said
"That's easy we are running away" he yelled "don't think so" the silver haired guy yells a guy on his team uses his quirk and the ground around us turns soft "what's happening" uraraka said "we're sinking" he said "no good I can't get out" uraraka said "I can use my quirk" I said
"Do it" he yelled he used his jet pack that mei gave him I hardened the ground and pushed us up we shot upwards and flew over the teams jiro used her quirk but dark shadow blocked it "keep watching over are blind spots dar shadow" tokoyami said "got it" dark shadow said
"Wow that is seriously cool your shadow is just what we needed it'll take care of are omnidirectional midrange defenses tokoyami your amazing" izuku said "you are the one who chose me" he said "we're landing" uraraka said
We landed on the ground and started running everyone ran towards us we noticed shoji but he didn't seem to be with anyone "it's shoji is he alone where is his team" izuku said "what we need is breathing room we can't get trapped between multiple teams" tokoyami said uraraka tried to fly
"What is something wrong?" Izuku asked her "yeah I'm stuck" she aid "that's one of minetas balls but where did it come from" he said "from right over here hi midoriya"mineta said appearing from shojis back "is that even aloud" he asked "judges say yes" midnight said
Suddenly a tongue appeared and izuku dodged they started attacking us "quickly we must move" tokoyami said izuku hit the button for the jet back we started to lift off but part of the boot from urarakas left foot broke off "ahh my babies ruined" mei cried "but at least we got away from them" izuku said
I started using the wind to stabilize us when i heard a explosion and looked to see bakugo flying towards us on his own "don't think for a second your safe" he yelled reaching for izukus headband "I've got you" he yelled "tokoyami!" Izuku yelled dark shadow came up to block it
I used the wind to push bakugo backwards and started falling but was caught by sero using tape "is that even aloud" present mic asked "he never touched the ground so technically it's ok" midnight said
We landed again "nicely done uraraka" izuku said "it's hard to control where we are going with just one foot even with Akari's help" she said "I understand" he said "now who wants to look at the points so far it's been seven minutes so let's get those rankings started on the screen hold on here this is a unexpected turn other then midoriya class 1A is not doing so hot even bakugo is losing" present mic said
"Everyone don't worry I think we are ok" izuku said then suddenly we moved to the side and todoroki was in front if us "and now we've reached the halfway point of the game" present mic said "I thought we had it made guess I was wrong" izuku said
"As the Calvary battle enters its second half it's anyone's game class 1B has made a unexpected turn but who will win the ten million points in the end that's the real question sports fans" present mic said "I'll be taking that headband now" todoroki said "I didn't think we would be having this confrontation so soon he seems to have it out for you midoriya" tokoyami says
"The games only halfway over we can't stop now" izuku said "now Iida forward" todoroki said "right" Iida said "watch are surroundings it's not just todoroki everyone's after us" izuku warned then Denki shot a ton of lightning at us it shocked everyone I closed my eyes we were fine dark shadow blocked it
Todoroki froze everyone so it was just us "the jet packs malfunctioning" izuku said "baby does it need some upgrades" mei said "no they are to fast we can't get away" uraraka said "take care of them" tokoyami said but momo just blocked it
"She's to good at her creation quirks we have to be careful" izuku said "no kaminari is the one to fear if there was anymore sun light he would have destroyed dark shadow" tokoyami said "I get it his lighting is are problem" izuku said "as long as he keeps using his quirk it will be very difficult for me to attack dark shadow is to timid" tokoyami said "violence solves nothing" dark shadow said
"Denki can only use his quirk so many times though then he's out of commission" i said suddenly we stopped "team midoriya has nowhere else to run" present mic said "your attack power is low but they have no idea that is the case right?" Izuku asked "I don't think so the only person I told was koda back at the USJ and he's a man of very few words" tokoyami said
"Ok good deal we can use that this will work out all we need to do is hang onto the ten million no matter what" izuku said "only one minute left todoroki has cornered the ten million pointy and is poised to size the ultimate prize at least that's what I would have predicted five minutes ago unbelievably midoriya has been able to keep away from the ice master the whole game" present mic said
"Stay back!" Izuku yelled suddenly Iida started getting ready to run at us and they rocketed at us on my side and grabbed izukus headband "holy smokes that was one big blur wow folks why didn't he show off that super speed in the preliminary's" present mic said
"Insanity this in-tire game has just turned completely on its head todorokis team has the ten million and midoriyas team is left with nothing at all" present mic said "kaminari is still a problem it would be smarter for us to go after other points now" tokoyami said
"We can't we don't know who has what this is are only chance" izuku said "then let's go we will get to punch back I know it" Uraraka said changing forward "she's right let's do this!" I said used my quirk to move the earth around us to make us go faster we charged them
Izuku using his quirk and I noticed fire on todorokis arm but I thought he didn't us his fire I thought izuku bated his hand to the side then he reached for todoroki's neck where he put the ten million and grabbed the ten million
"Oh no please tell me I have something wrong with my eyes" Mei said izuku flipped the headband over and it read 70 "we mixed the headbands up there's no way we'd leave the prize on top you underestimate us" momo said "the game is almost up time for a countdown" present mic said
"Tokoyami" izuku said dark shadow charged them and was electrocuted by denki "uraraka akari!" Izuku said we charged again bakugo also charged at us "times up!!" Present mic said we all stopped "and with that the second round is finally over"present mic said
Deku looked really frustrated he jumped down "now let's look and see what are top four teams are in first place we have team todoroki in second place team bakugo in third place is tetsutet-wait what it's team shinso when did they come back from the dead" present mic said
"Hey deku!" Uraraka said "guys I'm really sorry" he said "actually" uraraka pointed at me "I tried to grab the ten million headband but things didn't do as planned still I got one it was around his head where his guard was the weakest izuku your the one who created the opening for me and insured are advancement" I said holding up the headband "I used my rock quirk while you were trying to grab the ten million I created a hand and grabbed it" I said shrugging
"And in fourth place is team midoriya" present mic said izuku started crying a fountain and uraraka hugged me now let's take a hour long lunch break before we start the festivities see you soon" present mic said
I was walking with izuku when todoroki approached us "can we talk?" He asked "both of us?" I asked he nodded then took us over to a area in a hallway there was no one there hmm I wonder what he wants to talk about
"You brought us here now what?" Izuku asked
