Third Person POV

Jaune: 'Finally...'

After what felt like an eternity, the Bullhead finally arrived at its destination. One by one, the passengers disembarked, including Jaune, who leisurely followed with one of his hands tucked in his pockets while the other held the wrapped object. Stepping off the Bullhead, he was greeted by the sight of Beacon Academy, and he had to admit that the architecture of the structure looked breathtaking.

Jaune: 'Amazing, to think humans build such a structure...'

As Jaune began to walk, he continued to check his surroundings with a slightly impressed look on his face. This new world was truly a strange and yet interesting one to behold, not only is its technology intriguing despite not being advanced nor primitive. But gazing upon the structure before him, he could tell that there were secrets to it that not many know.

While Jaune was walking, he unknowingly caught the attention of many students who exchanged glances and whispers. Perhaps it was due to his muscular physique or his towering height of 6 feet 3 inches, a notable trait in his family where he stood as the tallest member. The only other one was his eldest sister, who stood at 5 feet 11 inches.

Passing by various students, Jaune overheard snippets of conversations.

Girl 1: "Woah, look at him."

Girl 2: "I know, right? Those muscles!"

Girl 3: "He's kinda cute~"

Silently groaning in annoyance, Jaune ignored their chatter as he continued his walk. Further down, he heard a group of boys commenting.

Boy 1: "Whoa, that dude's ripped! How much do you think he lifts?"

Boy 2: "Easily more than the max!"

Boy 3: "Damn, I wouldn't want to mess with him."

Despite the remarks, Jaune couldn't help but chuckle inwardly at the last one's comment. Good, even though he was reborn as a human, it didn't mean that his dislike for humanity went away. Master Mondatta gave him a second chance to coexist with the humanity around him, but something like that takes patience and unfortunately, Ramattra was never really known for his patience.

Jaune kept walking; however, his stroll was unfortunately brought to a halt when his attention was quickly diverted by a sudden small explosion nearby.

Jaune: "What in the name of the Iris?..."

Raising an eyebrow, Jaune questioned if this was some sort of test made by the Headmaster of Beacon or if it was merely two students fighting among themselves like little children. The former Omnic General wouldn't put it past the first option, since he knew little to nothing about what goes on at Beacon.

He has read a lot of books growing up, but none of them spoke of Beacon Academy or the Headmaster, Ozpin. But from what he does know by searching online, Ozpin was a very mysterious man who prefers to talk about things in a cryptic way. Something like that wasn't unfamiliar with Jaune, since Master Mondatta loved to speak in a similar sort of way.

He can still recall all the sleepless nights that he stayed up, trying so hard to figure out his master's riddles. Zenyatta was always the first to finish, much to Ramattra's annoyance due to his brother saying "The Answer is more closer than you think, brother." Besides that, there was no other information about the Headmaster.

Jaune: 'This could be a test...'

Looking around at the other students, some wondered what the explosion was while the others simply ignored it and headed off somewhere.

Jaune: 'Well, that is no help whatsoever...'

He turned to where the explosion came from and wondered if he should go investigate. A part of him wants to simply ignore it because it has nothing to do with him.

However, the curiosity of what happened became such an annoyance for the blonde-haired boy. So against his better judgment, he made his way towards the source of the commotion. Upon arrival, he noticed a familiar silver-eyed girl getting yelled at by a pale-skinned young woman with pale blue eyes and long white hair that was pulled back into an off-center ponytail or braid on the right side and pinned with a silver, icicle-shaped tiara.

She wore a thigh-length strapless dress with a faint color gradation from white to pale blue at the hem. A small piece of black lace sits in the front of her neckline, and the hem of the dress was scalloped and stitched to resemble snowflakes, with layers of white tulle under the skirt. Over this, she wore a bell-sleeved bolero with the same color gradation as her dress from shoulder to wrist, lined in red and with a ruffled collar.

Jaune: 'From her outfit and the stuff on the ground, I take it that she's a rich girl...'

Back in his old life, Ramattra always hated the rich type because they thought that the world revolved around them. They didn't care who they hurt, weather they were human or Omnic. The rich felt empowered because no one could touch them without risk of military force.

As Jaune watched the white-haired girl yell at the silver-eyed girl, a part of him wanted to walk away because the last thing he wanted was to deal with a rich snob. Unfortunately, he probably should of thought of that before he started walking over.

Jaune: 'Damn it...'

He soon cleared his throat.

Jaune: "I suggest you leave her alone"

White-haired girl POV

As I was yelling at this little dolt for not only knocking over all my luggage, but for also nearly blowing the both of us off the side of the cliff. I mean, she does know that Dust is highly explosive, especially when it comes to fire Dust. She should be damn lucky that it was only a small explosion; if it were any bigger, things would have turned out differently.

While I kept yelling at her, I soon heard someone clearing their throat.

???: "I suggest you leave her alone."

This caused me to pause as it gained both mine and the silver-eyed girl's attention. We turned our heads in the direction of the sudden voice and were greeted by the sight of a blonde-haired boy. He was around my age, maybe slightly older, and he towered over both me and the girl next to me, definitely over six feet tall.

His outfit appeared to consist of merely a brown T-shirt and pants, with black and purple battle armor. The arms had what appeared to be high tech gauntlets, but I can't recall such a thing being made, and the same can be said for the legs as well. Like the gauntlets, the battle armor on the boy's legs also appeared to be high tech, and they even had what appeared to be three silver claws on each foot. He also appeared to have some sort of scarf/cape that had a very beautiful design; the color and the patterns on it were almost breathtaking.

Although, as I looked into the blonde's eyes, I couldn't help but shiver a little. I have seen that look before; my older sister, Winter, has shown those sorts of eyes before whenever I get the chance to see her. Those were the eyes of someone who has been in battle, the eyes of someone who was not to be messed with.

But that doesn't mean that he can just speak to me like that, does he have any idea who I am?

Third Person POV

White-haired girl: "Who are you?! and how dare you speak to me like that!"

Jaune's right eye twitcheda little from the girls words, he wasnt surprised by her response but that doesnt mean he'll just allow her to yell at him.

Jaune: "Who I am is none of your business"

He narrowed his eyes.

Jaune: "But watch your tone with me, Princess..."

???: "It's Heiress, actually"

Jaune turned his head in the direction of the voice and was greeted by a familiar sight, it was the girl with the Bow from the Bullhead and she appeared to have a vial of dust in one of her hands.

Bow Girl: "Weiss Schnee, Heiress to the Schnee Dust Company, one of the largest producers of energy propellant in the world"

The Schnee Dust Company, Jaune can recall reading something about it during his training. It was made by a man named Nicholas Schnee who was originally a warrior but retired and made the company to help people. Jaune can also remember his family buying some Dust from a shop in the village they lived in, the words "SDC" being on the crates the Dust came in.

Weiss: "Finally! Some recognition!"

Bow Girl: "The same company infamous for its controversial labor forces and questionable business partners"

Weiss was shocked by this, very annoyed but wasn't sure what to say. This amused Jaune as he chuckled and the Silver-eyed girl giggled at this.

Weiss: "Urgh!"

She walked up to the girl with the bow, grabbed the vial of Dust and with a huff, she began to walk away as her helpers gathered up the luggage before following her.

Silver-eyed girl: "I promise, I'll make this up to you!"

The heiress didn't respond as she continued to storm off, to which the silver-eyed girl let out a small sigh.

silver-eyed girl: "I guess I'm not the only one having a rough first day..."

She then turned to the girl with the bow, intending to talk to her. However, she saw that she was walking away and she just soon decided to collapse to the ground, laying on her back and stare at the sky.

Silver-eyed girl: "Welcome to Beacon..."

Jaune looked at the girl, pondering weather or not he should see if she was doing alright. He didn't know the events that played out that lead to the explosion, but if he had to take a guess it probably had something to do with Weiss luggage.

Gazing upon the silver-eyed girl, Jaune couldn't help but remember a event from his past, something that occurred long before he stepped out of the Shambali monastery.

(Flashback)

Ramattra was currently sitting under a peach tree, cross-legged as the cherry blossom petals were floating all around the Omnic. He had just finished another one of his master's lessons, though he decided to go and meditate since he felt a little stressed out lately.

The peach tree he sat under was special to the Omnic General, for it was a spot where he could remain unbothered by any passing Omnics. While a little petty, Ramattra was sure that, as the human saying goes, "Everyone deserves a little bit of privacy." He hadn't told anyone about this special spot, though he felt like he didn't need to since the monastery had been pretty much explored ages ago.

Ramattra breathed in and out as he enjoyed the silence. However, meditating was proving rather difficult for him as he fidgeted incessantly. But he didn't allow that to distract him as he continued to meditate.

Ramattra: "Inner peace... inner peace..."

As he continued meditating, he soon heard a very faint flapping sound in the distance. But it was probably a bird flying over the Monastery, so he chose to ignore it and continue what he was doing.

Ramattra: "Inner peace... inner peace..."

Unfortunately, fate seemed to have other ideas for the Omnic General as the same flapping noise reappeared, and this time it was a little louder. But once again, Ramattra chose to ignore it and kept up with his meditation.

Ramattra: "Inner peace... inner peace..."

The flapping noise came back, a little louder than before. Ramattra was slowly getting annoyed by the noise, but took a deep breath and relaxed.

Ramattra: "Inner peace... inner peace..."

The noise came back, this time even louder than before. This made Ramattra turn his head in a random direction.

Ramattra: "Would whoever is making that flapping sound, quiet down!?"

Silence.

Ramattra: "Thank you!"

Satisfied with the return of the silence, Ramattra resumed his meditation. But before he could even start speaking, with a loud thump, something dropped from the sky and landed on the floor behind him.

Letting out a small growl, Ramattra stood up, ready to give whoever had disturbed his meditation a good piece of his mind and probably a good beating as well when he saw it was none other than a small baby bird.

Ramattra: "A bird?"

Ramattra looked up at the peach tree, spotting what appeared to be a nest on one of the branches.

Ramattra: "You fell out..."

He looked down at the baby, shaking his head.

Ramattra: "You're as good as dead then..."

He raised one of his feet and loomed it over the small baby bird, ready to bring an end to the small creature's life.

???: "I wouldn't say that, Ramattra."

Ramattra perked up as he brought his foot back down, not crushing the small bird as he saw Mondatta slowly approaching.

Ramattra: "Master Mondatta! What are you doing here!?"

Mondatta: "I came to check up on you; you seemed to be... stressed."

Ramattra remained silent; it was true that he had been a lot more stressed lately. While he sat at the Monastery, more and more Omnics have been dying around the world. They were no longer a threat to them, yet humanity still doesn't wish to share their world with Ramattra's people.

Ramattra: "I am fine, Master Mondatta. I just came to meditate."

Mondatta tilted his head.

Mondatta: "And now you wish to take the life of an innocent creature."

Ramattra looked down at the little girl, who was still flapping its wings despite not being able to lift itself into the air.

Ramattra: "It fell from its nest; it's practically dead..."

Mondatta chuckled as he slowly approached.

Mondatta: "It may have fallen, but you and this creature aren't so different."

Ramattra: "What do you mean?"

Mondatta kneeled down, placing his hand out for the little bird. Ramattra watched as it looked at Mondatta's hands before slowly pulling itself into his hands.

Mondatta: "Like you, this creature refuses to give up when all seems lost. It keeps trying to approach its goal to take flight, like you wish for the survival of our people."

Ramattra remained silent as Mondatta rose back up to his feet, looking down at the small creature.

Mondatta: "But you feel as if it doesn't matter, since you have experienced the horrors of war while this bird has not."

Ramattra: "Of course, it doesn't know what humans are like. It doesn't know that they will never accept us"

Mondatta nodded in understanding, his wise gaze meeting Ramattra's.

Mondatta: "Maybe not today, but..." His voice was filled with a sense of hope and conviction.

He looked up at Ramattra, his expression softening.

Mondatta: "I am sure that one day, you will meet a human whose soul is untainted by what has occurred across the years."

Ramattra pondered the words, his metallic features betraying a hint of contemplation.

Ramattra: ".... if I do, what do I do?"

If Mondatta could, he would have given Ramattra a gentle smile. He raised his hands up into the air, a gesture of reassurance.

Mondatta: "Stay by their side, create a bond with that human, and their pure soul will show you the light in any darkness."

With that, Ramattra watched as the baby bird started flapping its wings once more. Surprisingly, it took off into the air, flying away from the Monastery.

Mondatta: "Remember, Ramattra. Both Omnics and Humans are on the same journey, we are all one.... within the Iris"

(Flashback End)

Jaune: 'I guess I should at least try to make a companion with one of these humans...'

He slowly approached the silver-eyed girl, casting a curious gaze upon her as he extended his hand towards her.

Jaune: "Hey, I'm Jaune..."

The girl, with silver eyes, briefly glanced at the blonde-haired boy before breaking into a warm smile and accepting his hand.

Ruby: "Ruby"
