(Three months later)
Y/N's P.O.V
So, I'm now at college and have been for the past three weeks.
Today is the first Basketball game of the season.
I'm now in my gear and I'm number twenty-three.
(A/N: Just a reminder of what the gear looks like.)
I look over to Chad.
Y/N: Hey, man. You ready for this?
Chad: Oh, yeah. You?
Y/N: Definitely.
Chad: I gotta say, it's gonna be weird not having you as the captain out there.
Y/N: Honestly, I'm okay with it. It's nice not having that responsibility anymore.
Chad: Fair enough. Hey, can I ask you something.
Y/N: Sure.
Chad: I was thinking about ask a girl out.
I smile.
Y/N: Really? That's great. Who?
Chad: Kira.
Y/N: You wanna ask my sister out?
Chad: Uh, yeah. We've been spending time together and I really like her, but I won't ask her out if it's weird for you.
I smile.
Y/N: Go for it, bro. Seriously. She's not my property. You can ask her out. Go for it.
He smiles.
Chad: Thanks, man.
We fist bump.
Y/N: Oh, but as her brother I should say, if you hurt my sister in anyway, shape or form I'll snap your neck.
He nods.
Chad: Got it.
We laugh.
After that we head out with the rest of the team.
I walk through the tunnel, but hear a familiar voice.
???: Hey, number twenty-three.
I turn to see Tara.
She has the team's colours painted on her face along with my jersey number.
Y/N: Hey, beautiful.
She comes over and we kiss.
After that we walk together.
Tara: How you feeling?
Y/N: Ready. Oh, don't say anything, but Chad is gonna ask Kira out. Don't tell her.
Tara: Really?
Y/N: Yep.
Tara: That's good. It's good that he's moving on.
Y/N: Yeah. I know he misses Liv, but I'm sure she'd want him to be happy.
Tara: She would.
We walk out onto the court and see my team along with the other team.
Tara: Okay, well you better get out there. Good luck.
We kiss before pulling away.
Y/N: Thanks.
She goes up to the bleechers.
Y/N: Tara.
She turns back to me.
I kiss my hand and throws the kiss to her.
(A/N: Just imagine it's Y/N in his Basketball gear.)
She catches it and smiles.
I then go over to join my team.
Third person perspective
Tara goes to sit with Kira, Mindy and Anika.
Kira: Hey. What was that with Y/N?
She smiles.
Tara: Y/N's been doing that since the first game he played after we started dating.
Anika: I thought it was cute.
Tara: Yeah, it is.
Y/N's P.O.V
We're now on the court and the game is about to start.
The ball goes up and comes back down and, the game starts.
As I move around the court the ball's past to me.
I run up the court and bounce the ball.
I turn to see Chad.
Y/N: Chad!
I bounce it to him and he moves up.
Y/N: Pass back!
He throws it back and I catch it.
After that I get to the other side and jump.
I duck the ball and get us up by two points.
Y/N: Oh, yeah!!
Chad: Hell yeah!!
I rush over to Chad and we hug as the crowd cheers.
Chad: That was awesome!
Y/N: Damn right!
We get back to playing the game.
(Two hours later)
The game has just finished and we destroyed the other team.
We shake hands with member's of the other team.
After that I see Tara on the sidelines.
I go over to her and she jumps into my arms as we hug.
Tara: You were amazing, babe.
Y/N: Thanks. I do my best.
I put her down and we kiss.
We pull away, then look over to see Chad talking with Kira.
Tara: (Whispers) We should leave them alone, right?
Y/N: (Whispers) Definitely.
I look to Chad.
Y/N: Hey, Chad. Tara and I are going. We'll catch you later.
I wink to give him a signal.
He nods.
Chad: Okay, bro. Catch you later.
I put my arm around Tara as we walk off.
Tara: Do you think he'll ask her?
Y/N: I do. And I know Kira will make him happy.
Tara: I'm sure you're right.
She and I leave the court.
Y/N: Alright, we'll I take a shower and get changed. I stink.
She smiles.
Tara: You're not wrong.
Y/N: Hey.
She giggles.
Y/N: And when I come back we can just go back to my place lay in bed and watch movies.
Tara: I'd love that.
Y/N: Okay, good.
I kiss her on the cheek before walking off.
After that I go to shower and change.
We won the first game of the season. And it was a good one.
(A/N: So, I'm sorry I didn't show much of the game. As a Brit I don't know much about Basketball and I didn't want to ruin it for any American reader's. Oh, and the next chapter is the start of the Scream 6 story.)
