Izuku and Rumi appear back in Rumi's apartment landing on the couch. Sitting there with a shocked expression on their faces for a few seconds. Izuku was the first to regain his bearings and turned on the TV.
"-ust a moment ago was Invincible on the main building of the HPSC being embraced by the number 5 heroine Miruko. The reporters and crowd on the scene stated that they referred to each other using pet names-"
Rumi seemed to get out of the head as she heard the broadcast. The two stared blankly at the TV as the news spread. There was a sudden knock on the door which brought them out of their reprieve. Izuku looking with quirk sight knew exactly who it was as the door. The lock on the door clicked as each pin was moved into place and unlocked allowing the person in.
"H-hi mom."
Inko Midoriya stood at the doorway with an unsettling smile looking at the woman her son had decided to date and spend the rest of his life with. In her opinion, she may be just using her baby boy. Inko pulled Rumi by the collar of her leotard using her quirk and took her outside. With a slam of the door leaving Izuku alone listening to the news which had moved onto the ethicality of the relationship due to the age gap.
After a minute Inko peeked her head back in.
"Izuku could you leave for a moment? We want to speak inside."
"Uh... okay. Call me if you need me back here."
"I will."
With an uncertain look on his face, Izuku warped into his dorm room in UA leaving Rumi to face the scrutiny of the matriarch. Landing on his couch Izuku decides to go upstairs to see what everyone else thinks. The elevator opens to most of the class looking at him waiting for an answer. Mina was in front with a teasing look.
"So Midori, is it true?"
"...Yes, I am in a relationship."
A scream could be heard from the living room that was getting louder as a purple blur slammed into Midoriya. Mineta now awake with a bump on the back of his head was holding Midoriya by his collar with his feet on his chest to hold himself up.
"You handsome son of a bitch! Why do you get all the attention!? YoGuek-"
Tsuyu's tongue rose from the back of the group wrapped around his neck and pulled him off of Midoriya. Mineta was struggling in the air being held up by the appendage.
The next few minutes were spent explaining how it got to be that he was dating someone a decade his elder with the main questioner being the girls. With their curiosity mostly satiated the class returned to the couch followed by Midoriya. Sitting down the girls sat weirdly close to Midoriya to the belligerent despair of Mineta. Mina sat next to Midoriya's right side leaned toward him supporting her upper body using her hands on the couch. Her face is now very close to Midoriya.
"So how far did you get with her? You've been staying at her place for a while now."
"It isn't my place to say-"
"You've been in her room?"
"No. Look we haven't done anything worth gossiping about except getting together. Also, why are you all so interested now that I'm in a relationship?"
Mina and the rest of the class that was paying close attention realised that they looked like creeps trying to dig for information about somebody else's life. Mina backed away with a slight purple blush as she felt how close she was to him. Momo answered him.
"W-we're just curious is all. You didn't exude availability even before you met Miruko."
"I can't exactly blame you all for that. I wasn't looking to get into a relationship it just kinda happened."
A ringtone cut the conversation short. Midoriya picked up the phone said a few words and stood up.
"Who was that?"
"My Mom. She just got done interrogating Miruko. I gotta go."
"Oh... Okay, we'll see you later then."
With a wave goodbye, he warped away in a puff of green smoke. Appearing back inside Rumi's apartment standing at the doorway, he sees Inko and Rumi who are speaking happily with each other. Inko who was facing the door noticed Izuku appear.
"Honey welcome back! Come on have a seat."
With a small bit of apprehension, Izuku sits down on the couch next to Rumi which brings a warmer smile on Inko's face and a small blush on Rumi's.
"So... Is everything okay?"
"Oh, everything is just fine. So when will I be getting the rank of elder?"
Izuku and Rumi's faces became beet red as Izuku stuttered out an answer.
"W-we h-haven't gotten that far yet."
"Well then, I'll leave you to to get to it then, Bye~."
Inko walked to the door and opened it to go out but before she closed the door behind her she turned around.
"I expect good news soon."
And closed the door leaving behind her embarrassed baby boy and now daughter-in-law.

A few days passed, as the HPSC was restructured. Invincible had visited the organizations and influential people affiliated with the commission which resulted in a few arrests and several small skirmishes. Yokumiru Mera was now the current head as he was the only somewhat high-ranking person who was not involved with the shady actions of the commission. He vowed to not allow the commission to fall into the trappings of its previous leader and promised to be more transparent to the public about the commission's dealings. With his statements registering as fact under Izuku's quirk he felt the future of the commission was left in safer hands.
With the reveal that Invincible and Miruko are in fact in a relationship, the reaction from the public was mixed, to say the least. On one side were the supporters happy that a new couple was formed and on the other were those who saw the pairing as unnatural for a number of reasons. The most vocal of these were those who disliked the power difference between the two with one being a pro while the other was still training and the resulting age gap. To them, it seemed like Miruko was using her authority to take advantage of a junior. Another contingent saw it as unnatural due to their differing appearances with one being a human and another a mutant as they called her.
With the comments of their relationship ignored life goes on. Invincible was disguised using gecko and beast boy was in the corner of a bar with Giran getting info on the movements underground. A few of the patrons were keeping their stern eye on Lizuku.
"Fortunately Sire the underworld is at a standstill. Not many are willing to make large moves to fill the vacuum left by your conquests."
"That's good news. Keep me updated if things change."
As Lizuku was about to stand up when two large men got in front of him.
"You should already know the rules here for things like you. Clean up after yourself."
Confused Lizuku glanced back to see the seat the same as it was when he sat down. One of the men raised his now rusty jagged metal hand as Lizuku looked away to punch him in the face. The blow was intercepted by Lizuku who grabbed his fist and twisted lifting the man into the air and making him do a barrel roll. Landing on the ground on his back the man's eyes were rolling in their sockets his hand now twisted and crushed. Everyone in the bar stood up on alert and got ready to attack. The other man seeing his friend on the ground retaliated.
"What the hell freak! You're gonna pay for this!"
The bar rushed at Lizuku. Giran tried to step in and help his sire but Lizuku stopped him from engaging. Giran respectfully stood back and allowed his sire to do the lord's work.
