THE BLONDE PRINCESS WAS WALKING THE HALLS OF THE INSTITUTE LOOKING FOR LYDIA, SHE HADN'T SEEN THE BRANWELL GIRL SINCE THEY MET UP WITH HER GRANDPARENTS AND SHE WAS STARTING TO WORRY.
Asakhe gave her boyfriend a gentle smile as she met up with him in the halls.
"Have you seen Lydia? I'm really starting to worry." Asa said.
"Let's check the office." Alec nodded making the princess nod.
The couple reached the study and with a deep breath, the princess opened the door and she felt her heart break at the sight of her close friend/ sister figure lying on the floor unconscious.
"Dia!" Asa exclaimed as she rushed towards the Branwell girl.
"Call Logan and James, get help as well please!" Asa asked Alec.
Alec nodded quickly before rushing out of the study leaving his worried girlfriend with the blonde Branwell.
"Dia, can you hear me?" Asa pleaded as she placed the blonde in her lap, watching as she slowly blinked her eyes open.
"Hodge." Lydia whispered out just as Alec came back in the study with the Branwell brothers and the paramedics in tow.
"Lydia." James sighed out in worry before he moved to help the paramedics get Lydia on the gurney before they wheeled her out the study towards the infirmary.
With determination the blonde princess marched out the study and towards the ops centre leaving her worried boyfriend to follow after her.
"I've noticed something was off with uncle Hodge and I hoped my suspicions were just that suspicions." Asa told her boyfriend.
"Fuck! Alec the circle is rising and after everything uncle Hodge has done to try turn his life around after all I've helped him with, Valentine and his manipulative good for nothing arse, turns uncle Hodge against us!" Asa yelled softly.
"Hey, hey, hey." Alec cooed gently as he cupped the blonde's face in his hands, pecking her lips quickly yet softly.
"It's okay, just breathe." Alec gently told her and Asakhe took a deep breath with Alec.
"Look, I'm not doubting you for one second, you've never given me a reason to so if you say somethings up with Hodge then let's figure out, together." Alec told his girlfriend.
"Thank you." Asa sighed softly as Alec rested his forehead against hers.
"Always, now come on." Alec said as he grabbed one of Asakhe's hands in his as the couple entered the ops room which the others had occupied.
"How's Lydia?" Clary asked as Asakhe marched over to the screens having let go of Alec's hand whilst ignoring Clary.
"Better, Magnus and Lizzie are doing their best to help her but it's bad and the cup is definitely missing." Alec answered before maki g his way over to the blonde princess who was buying pulling up the security footage.
The others had all gathered around the duo, trying to figure out what they were up to.
"So is uncle Hodge." Asa sighed.
"Maybe he was attacked too." Isabelle spoke.
"You're not that naive Isabelle." Asa told the Lightwood girl, shaking her head.
"What do you mean?" Izzy questioned the blond princess.
"Uncle Hodge was the one who attacked her." Asa revealed.
"Hodge? No way, we've known him our entire lives, he would never do that to us." Izzy spoke confidently.
"I'm really gonna enjoy saying I told you so." Asa deadpanned for Isabelle just as she pulled the surveillance footage.
Everyone watched as Hodge attacked Lydia before taking the cup and the young Shadowhunters along with Francis and Mary stood there frozen in shock, feeling betrayed.
"After everything he did to turn to his life around." Francis sighed in sadness and disappointment.
"After everything we but especially Asa did to help him." Mary added to her husbands words.
"I led him right to the cup." Jace sighed as he looked down at the floor slightly.
Arabella shook her head.
"We treated him like family, how could he do this to us?"
"Betrayal doesn't always come from your enemies my sweet Belly, sometimes it comes from those you consider family which hurts even more." Asa spoke, tears glistening in her eyes.
"What are you doing Asa?" Josie asked the blonde princess softly.
"Going back to the night of the forsaken attack." Asa informed.
"No, we killed that thing and I didn't see a ring." Izzy spoke up.
"He didn't have one during the autopsy but there's definitely something in the footage." Asa told the raven haired girl.
Everyone once again watched the footage from the forsaken attack as Hodge takes the ring off of the forsaken's finger as Izzy made sure Alec was okay.
"Well, it doesn't seem like it was some random attack." Maddy spoke up.
"With Valentine everything is planned for reason." Asa told her parabatai.
The blonde princess turned to face the rest of the group.
"If Hodge gives that cup to Valentine, he'll create an army of shadowhunters, with that kind of power behind him, he'll kill thousands." Asa stated.
"We have a secret weapon of our own." Alec whispered softly as Asa rested her head on his shoulder.
"If anything, he'll kill thousands just creating the army, most mundanes won't survive that." Louis spoke up.
"We won't let that happen." Clary stated?
"I'm gonna make sure of it." Jace nodded before he turned on his heel and walked out the room.
THE GROUP HAD SPLIT UP AND WITH THE OTHERS HAVING GONE AFTER HODGE WITH JACE, ALEC & CLARY HAD GONE WITH THE DE VALIOS FAMILY TO THE HOTEL DUMORT.
As the group of eight walked into the main room of the Hotel DuMort, the royal family quick to rush over to the Hispanic family and Asa hugged her cousin before moving onto her aunts and uncles, ending with Raphael who clung to her tightly.
"We need to talk to Camille, we know you have here, we tracked her to the DuMort." Clary spoke in a rude tone, ruining the moment between the family who all rolled their eyes.
"She was meant to add a please at the end of that." Asa smiled adorably at her family before she turned to glare at Clarissa.
"It's true but I'm afraid she's a bit tied up at the moment, is there something we can help you with?" Tiana asked.
"Tied up? You kinky bitches." Asa teased her family with a playful smirk making them all roll her eyes at her fondly.
The other five De Valios chuckled at the blonde's teasing.
"Look, you guys, I know it sounds crazy but we really do have to talk to Camille, she has a spell book that could wake up Jocelyn Fairchild." Asa began.
"Not that I want her alive." Mary added before she looked around as if trying to find the person who had said that like it wasn't her.
"Valentine might have the cup, the entire downworlds in danger, please you guys, I can't let you down again." Asa pleaded with puppy eyes.
"How can say no?" Alec asked the family appalled.
"Like, Look at those eyes." Alec cooed.
"We're trying to look away Alec, don't say anything." Katherine told him as she tried tear her gaze away from her niece which she was struggling to do.
"She's far too dangerous, princessa, you know what happened with Simon." Raphael told his niece in a soft tone.
"It's not like she can kill him again." Asa spoke softly to try make up for the fact that it sounded really inconsiderate.
"You said it yourself, 'If Valentine has the cup, the entire downworld is at risk.' Camille will only makes things worse." Richard spoke up.
"I'll bring you all what's left of Camille's things but speaking to her is out of the question." Jax told the group of eight.
Clary looked at the vampire with raised eyebrows.
"Her things? This isn't the type of book she would've just left sitting around." Clary told youngest Santiago.
"How stupid do you think I am? Your level stupid?" Jax questioned.
"I know that little girl." Jax deadpanned.
"It's the best we can do." Katherine butted in, knowing her son would've ruined Clary's self esteem if he kept going.
"We're supposed to be allies." Clary shot back.
"And we are." Tiana nodded.
"Besides, you don't think we agreed to your little alliance because you convinced us, do you?" Ricardo teased.
"Either way shadowhunters have no business interfering with the night children's affairs. You may look to the clave for justice but the vampires to look to us and the Downworld queen. Camille stays where she is." Raphael spoke leaving no room for argument.
"Booo, you Hispanic whore." Nate and Asa playfully teased their uncle, twin smirks growing on their faces.
AFTER HAVING SPOKEN WITH HER FAMILY, ASAKHE HAD CAUGHT UP WITH THE GROUP IN THE TUNNELS ONLY TO FIND HER GRANDAUNT AND SIMON WITH THEM.
The blonde princess was quick to give Simon a tight hug which he gladly returned before the two pulled away after a few moments.
Asa realised the familiar route to her grandparents apartment and Camille took the initiative of knocking on the door.
Magnus opened the door and he smiled softly at the others but his smile dropped when he spotted his sister in law.
"The home wrecker followed us." Alec stated with a shrug and the De Valios family had to hold back their chuckles as they realised how much Asa had rubbed on Alec.
"So Magnus how long has it been? One Hundred? One hundred fifty years?" Camille questioned as everyone walked into the apartment.
"Not long enough." The high warlock thought.
"One hundred and thirty eight, oddly I haven't missed you." Magnus deadpanned as Camille turned to him.
"Of course you have my love." Camille stated.
"Back, the fuck up!" Alec yelled as he walked over and grabbed Camille by her hair as he created some distance between the high warlock and his sister in law.
"Puta (bitch)." Alec told the Belcourt woman.
"Look, you both can catch up later. Right now we need to find the book of White." Clary spoke up.
"And you will but not without payment." Camille said as she turned to face Clary before turning to her brother in law.
"You of all people should understand that." Camille told Magnus, ignoring the presence of her little sister.
Magnus gave the woman a tight lipped smile.
"Of course and what is it you require?" Magnus asked, wanting to be rid of his sister in law.
"A clean slate." Camille stated.
"She wants a writ of turning me into a vampire." Simon explained.
"And we need you to draft it." Clary added as she nodded her head.
"I thought I was done with you." Magnus sighed as he turned his gaze to his wife who hadn't said a word since her sister arrived.
"We'll never be done with each other." Camille told him.
"He doesn't want you, he never will!" Alec exclaimed towards Camille, the urge to slap her about to take over.
"Get it through your dead brain cells." Alec finished.
Elizabeth made her way out the apartment, Mary and Asa quick to follow after her.
"Mama." Mary spoke softly as she and Asakhe watched Elizabeth wipe her tears away.
"I'm fine." Elizabeth told her daughters.
"You know papa loves you right?" Mary asked her mother as her daughter wrapped her arms around the Bane woman and rested her head on her shoulder.
Elizabeth nodded slowly, a small smile forming her face.
"Alec's right, he doesn't want Camille, he never will, it's always been you since day 1 mama." Mary told her mother as she too wrapped her arms around Elizabeth and rested her head on her other shoulder.
"You may feel like you're always second choice to Camille but you'll always be grandpa's first choice, you'll always be our first choice." Asa assured her grandmother.
"I love you my sweet girls." Elizabeth smiled softly.
"We love you too." Mary and Asakhe replied.
"I'm about to beat a bitch up." ASA ANNOUNCED AS SHE WALKED BACK INTO THE ROOM ONLY TO SPOT CAMILLE KISSING A SHOCKED MAGNUS.
"Sign me up." Alec told his girlfriend as the two pulled away.
"Well this is awkward." Magnus announced.
"No hey." The De Valios brothers sassed their grandfather as they glared at their grandaunt.
"Where's the book?" Francis demanded.
"It's complicated." Magnus said as he looked towards his wife with guilt,
"Clearly." Mary sassed.
"I have it." Camille announced and everyone rolled their eyes.
"Well no fucking shit, you home wrecker." Alec spoke up.
"And she's graciously offered it in exchange for her freedom." Magnus said.
"And her freedom requires a lip lock?" Alec and the De Valios family questioned in sync, their tones holding venom.
"We don't negotiate with prisoners." Alec then spoke, still angry.
"Prisoner? I beg to disagree. You see I'm your only chance at saving the world, you need me." Camille spoke before she turned to face her little sister.
"I see why you chose my little sister, she's cute, I'm still surprised you've both lasted this long." Camille smirked.
"Say that again and you will no longer be here." Asa practically growled.
AFTER A WHILE ASAKHE SOMEHOW MANAGED TO LOOSE THE OTHERS AND ONCE SHE HAD ENTERED ONE OF THE ROOM HER FAMILY HAD PREVIOUSLY OCCUPIED SHE FOUND HER FAMILY BEING SURROUNDED BY CIRCLE MEMBERS.
She took notice of how Jace and Valentine stood in front of a portal, her footsteps drawing everyone's attention to her.
"Well, well, well, if it's isn't Asakhe De Valios." Valentine taunted.
"Mad man who needs to put into an insane asylum." Asa nodded back as she replied with a sassy tone.
"It's been a while hasn't it?" Valentine taunted.
"Not long enough." Asa growled.
"Awww, you can't still be upset about that now can you?" Valentine taunted in fake sympathy.
"You experimented on me!" Asakhe yelled.
"You kidnapped me and took me away from my family, I was twelve years old!" The blonde princess exclaimed.
"Then you have the audacity to attack my family's kingdom and put fear into the lives our people." Asa spoke angrily.
"Look, I know you're no saint but that's cruel even for you." Asa finished.
"Now tell your men to get their filthy hands away from my family." Asa demanded.
"So much like your mother, fierce, determined and always willing to do anything for those you love even sacrificing yourself." Valentine told Asakhe.
"Is that what you want?" Asakhe questioned and everyone felt their eyes widen in shock as they could hear what she was implying.
Valentine's smirk was all she needed as confirmation.
"If I go with you and Jace, will you let them go?" Asakhe questioned.
"You have my word." Valentine nodded.
"Asa." Louis and Noah pleaded but the blonde princess only put her hand as a sign for them not to fight her on this.
"I'm sorry you guys." Asa apologised.
"I'm what Valentine wanted in the first place, I need to finish what I started." Asa stated.
"Let them go." Valentine told his men and once the others were free Asa quickly rushed into Alec's arms who was quick to cling to her.
"Take care of them for me, take care of yourself for me please." Asa pleaded with her boyfriend who nodded, tears glistening in his eyes, blurring his vision.
"Promise you'll come back to me?" Alec asked as the two pulled away.
"Always." Asa whispered and placed a kiss to his cheek before heading towards the portal where Jace and Valentine stood.
"Don't." Asa warned everyone as they all moved as if they were preparing to attack.
The three made through the portal and Clary rushed towards yelling for Jace only to be held back by Alec, everyone watching as the portal closed behind the three.
Everyone stood there, tears in their eyes, not knowing what the hell to do.
