TO SAY ASAKHE WAS FURIOUS AND DISAPPOINTED IN HERSELF WAS AN UNDERSTATEMENT, EVER SINCE JAX HAD EXPLAINED WHAT HAPPENED WITH HER SEELIE UNCLE'S ARREST AND THE ALLEGED ALLIANCE THAT HAD NOW BEEN FORMED ASAKHE COULD ONLY THINK ABOUT HOW SHE LET HER FAMILY DOWN.
"Hey." Alec greeted as he walked into the same room Asakhe was in as she continued to type away on her iPad.
"Hi." Asa smiled softly, she couldn't find it in herself to be mad at Alec especially when all he's done is do what he's been trained to do his whole life.
"What are you doing?" Alec asked softly.
"I don't even know anymore." Asa sighed as her parabatai, the Garroway sisters, Archie, Belly and Emma entered the room.
Maddy was quick to walk over and give her parabatai a quick but tight hug which Asakhe returned.
The group proceeded to chat amongst themselves making conversation as they carried out their tasks, none of them noticing as Isabelle entered the room.
MEANWHILE THE BRANWELL SIBLINGS WERE WALKING THE HALLS HEADING TO THE CONTROL ROOMS CHATTING AMONGST THEMSELVES.
"You guys what the hell are we doing?" Lydia asked her brothers, the guilt already eating at her.
"We don't have a choice Dia." James told his sister, the guilt eating at him as well.
"Why are they even doing this? They're making us arrest the wrong person." Logan spoke up.
"Listen you guys, I hate this as much as you both do but we have do this or the clave is only gonna make it worse for her." James told his younger siblings.
The three siblings came to a stop just outside the ops room which their friends were occupying.
"We have no choice." James reminded his siblings and with a deep breath the three made their entrance.
The groups attention was caught as they heard footsteps and they all watched the three Branwells approach Asakhe with Raj and a few other guards in tow.
"Asakhe De Valios by the order of the clave, you are under arrest for high treason." James announced.
"Wait what?!" Everyone chorused in shock.
"On what grounds?" Alec questioned, quickly becoming protective of the blonde princess.
"Don't touch her." Arabella practically growled at the guards as she watched them grab Asa quite harshly after having placed her iPad down on the table.
"Only a handful of people knew about the Meliorn op and as the downworld queen, the clave believe that Asakhe is right in the centre of it." Lydia explained.
"Even though we all know the wrong person is being arrested." Raj spoke up drawing the groups attention to him but the man's eyes were focused on Isabelle who had a guilty and fearful look in her eyes that went unnoticed by everyone except Asakhe.
"Everyone knows Isabelle was and maybe still is sleeping with him." Raj said with a slight smirk.
"Listen if Asakhe is convicted she may not be able to be stripped of her runes but the clave can banish her." Alec spoke up in worry.
"Enough." Asakhe's voice cut through and everyone turned to her.
Everyone watched in shock as Asa didn't even put up a fight but instead just handed her stele over to Raj.
"This isn't your guy's fight, it's mine." Asakhe explained, her voice holding a strong sense of determination.
Everyone watched as Asakhe walked away with Raj escorting her along with the other two guards.
ASAKHE SAT IN HER ROOM WITH RAJ SITTING ON ONE OF HER MANY HANGING/SWINGING CHAIRS.
Raj watched Asakhe with concern written on his features, he knows he can come off as heartless and cold but he has a close with Asakhe, the blonde being like a little sister of sorts to him.
"You okay?" Raj finally asked, breaking the silence in the room.
"I haven't been okay for a long time Raj." Asa admitted to him as she crossed her right leg over her left as she too sat in one of her hanging/swinging chairs.
Her answering making the said frown.
"Something about this whole uprising seems off, like I mean how could I have just missed it?" Asa spoke.
"I only found out about it at like 11 last night and now I'm being arrested for high treason?" Asa said shaking her head.
"This is absolute bullshit." Asa swore.
"I've been framed Raj and I just don't know by who." Asa spoke knowingly.
Raj only listened as the blonde princess continued to rant, not once interrupting her after all having known Asakhe for as long as he has, he knew when the right to speak will be.
"It doesn't help that Isabelle looked guilty and fearful." Asa sighed.
The blonde then made eye contact with the man across from her.
"You can speak now." Asa told him a soft smile on her face, knowing that he was waiting for her to finish ranting first.
Raj let out a soft chuckle.
"I know this is the last thing you expected and if it gives you even the slightest peace of mind the Branwells never wanted to do this." Raj told the blonde.
"I know." Asa nodded.
"I may not be able to be deruned but I sure as hell can be tortured and exiled." Asa spoke knowingly.
"Not like that's anything new." Asa sighed out.
"Do you have anyone in mind who you would want to defend you?" Raj asked.
"I have many people in mind but I'm not going to ask anyone." Asa told the man.
"What, why?" He asked shocked.
Asa just shook her head with a soft smile.
"Everyone has done enough the last few weeks and if it wasn't for Clary's selfish needs, they did it for me." Asa explained as she began to play with her Ruby necklace.
"I can't ask my family do anything else for me especially after I let them down the way I have by not being there for the uprising." Asa continued.
"If I can't even take care of my downworlders, how the hell am I supposed to rule both France and Scotland?" Asa asked.
"Some queen I am." Asa mumbled as she leant back in her hanging chair with another sigh.
"Look, I have something that may help you but I just don't know how you'll react." Raj informed the blonde princess making her look up at him.
"Raj, if you know something please tell me." Asa pleaded with him.
CLARY FOUND HERSELF IN AN ALTERNATE DIMENSION THANKS TO MELIORN WHO HAD DECIDED TO HELP HER AS A FAVOUR FOR HIS NIECE.
Clary found herself by a food truck, court yard type of setting being pulled by her best friend towards their table.
"Is that new?" Izzy asked the red haired as she referred to her portal shard necklace.
"Yes, I got it a couple days ago." Clary answered.
"Oh it goes with your dress? Because you're getting ready at my place tonight right?" Izzy questioned, a wide smile growing on her face.
"Ready for what?" Clary asked completely confused.
"Girl, that joke isn't even funny." Asakhe's familiar voice was heard making the girl turn around only to spot the princess with Maddy, Archie, Emma, Bella and the Garroway sisters.
Clary watched as Asakhe made her way over to Alec and sat down in his lap, wrapping her arms around his neck whilst his immediately went to her waist.
"Alec has poured his heart and soul into planning this anniversary party for the institute, the last time he put this much effort in was our wedding." Asa told the younger Fairchild.
"You're married?!" Clary's eyes widened in shock.
"Yes!" Alec and Asa exclaimed in sync as they held their hands showing off their rings which glistened in the sunlight.
"You were there." Emma reminded the red haired girl.
"Okay, so ignoring Clarissa's temporary amnesia, the theme is amazing." Asa spoke up.
"I'm proud of you." Asa smiled at Alec who placed a kiss to her temple.
"Aww." The others cooed.
ASAKHE WAS STILL IN HER ROOM ONLY THIS TIME SHE WAS BY HERSELF TRYING TO PROCESS THE INFORMATION THAT RAJ HAD GIVEN TO HER.
"I never thought I'd see the day I'm framed by my crush's sister, brother and a selfish carrot top." Asa mumbled to herself, shaking her head.
Asakhe looked up when she heard her door open only to spot Alec making his way inside the room.
'Ah, speak of the handsome devil!" Asa exclaimed in her thoughts.
The eldest Lightwood walked closer to Asakhe and wrapped her in a hug which Asa returned after a few moments.
"I'm gonna get you out of this, I promise." Alec whispered.
"You might wanna have a word with your sister first." Asa told Alec as she pulled away from him.
"Bella?" Alec questioned confused.
"No, Isabelle." Asa revealed to him.
AFTER A FEW MOMENTS ALEC FLUND HIMSELF BACK IN THE OPS CENTRE WHERE THE OTHERS STILL WERE.
Ignoring everyone else the eldest Lightwood focused his gaze on Isabelle.
"Isabelle Sophia Lightwood." Alec spoke angrily and at the sound of her full name coming out of her brothers mouth the said girl turned to him with wide eyes so did the others,
"Do you have something you wanna tell me?" Alec questioned.
"Alec, what are you talking about?" Emma questioned confused.
"Isabelle won't tell you but I gladly will." Raj spoke up making the younger shadowhunters all turn to him.
The man walked towards the group with what seemed liked a mini MP3 player but it held a recording on not that the others knew at the moment.
"Last chance Lightwood." Raj warned Isabelle.
"What the hell is going on Isabelle?" Arabella demanded.
"We threw Asakhe under the bus okay!" Izzy exclaimed making everyone snap her heads towards her.
"Who's we?" Archie demanded quickly.
"Jace, Clary and I." Isabelle revealed.
"Explain, now!" Josie demanded the eldest Lightwood daughter.
"We formed an alliance with the downworlders but not all of them were on board and the only way we could convince them was by mentioning Asakhe's name." Izzy explained.
"The downworlders would do anything to help their queen." Lydia sighed softly.
"No wonder the clave wanted Asakhe arrested." Logan sighed.
"I'm sorry you guys, I didn't think it would backfire like this." Izzy apologised.
"Why wouldn't it backfire?!" Chrissy exclaimed.
"You, Jace and Clarissa practically framed my parabatai Isabelle!" Maddy yelled at the Lightwood girl.
"Stop." Alec's voice cut through and everyone turned to him.
"I've got a plan, two in fact so of plan A doesn't work then I'll move on to plan B." Alec announced before leaving the room.
"Alec!" Bella yelled as she ran after her brother.
ASA HAD JUST FINISHED CRACKING HER KNUCKLES FOR THE TENTH TIME IN THE LAST 5 MINUTES, PRACTICALLY WORRYING HERSELF TO THE CORE ABOUT ALEC.
Archie had popped in really quickly not that long ago to explain to her what Bella had told him about Alec's plan to track Jace through their bond.
The blonde princess looked up when she heard her door open and her heart practically leaped out of her when she saw Alec.
"I heard what happened. Are you and Jace okay?" Asa asked softly.
"No, our parabatai bond, it's just so weak, he's like a ghost." Alec admitted.
"Alec what did you do?" Asa asked softly.
"The Branwells and I thought we could stop your trial if we gave the cup to clave." Alec told her.
"I'm not surprised they helped you." Asa spoke softly.
"It doesn't matter anyways." Alec shook his head as he made his way over and sat down on the blonde's bed.
Asakhe got up from her hanging chair and made her way over to her bed taking her heels off on the way and made herself comfortable behind Alec.
"You have to go through with the trail now." Alec spoke sadly.
"It's okay Alec." Asa assured as she wrapped as she wrapped her arms around Alec's neck letting them hang down his chest and she smiled softly as Alec slipped both his hands into hers.
"I know you tried and you've done more than enough." Asa said.
"I'm so sorry Asa." Alec apologised once more as he squeezed her hands in his.
"It's okay Alec, it's okay." Asa whispered.
