POV: SHADOW
It has been a few days since Mephiles attacked me, things are also going well in school, everyone is still afraid of me because of my loud growling on the first day. News traveled about that day and no body even talks to me because of it, but at least I had Rouge and the group, especially Sonic...we have been texting alot recently and always had something to talk about.
Since the texting started, everytime I go around him I feel strong, and a fluttery feeling which I never get around anyone and then there is one that scares me...my hunger. Sometimes it actually got really bad but today it got even worse, I just couldn't handle it. When i was talking to him my ears then angled themselves to listen to his heart beat, I then made up some lame ass excuse and then bolted out making Rouge follow me.
I didn't care if anyone was watching as I just walked out the school. While walking I started sweating hysterically as my quills flared up as a defense mechanism just to make sure no one attacked me from behind. I then walked into a random alley, I wasn't sure where I was, I just knew that I needed it. Some random mobian then walked by the alley so I just pulled them by their arm and sunk my fangs into their neck. As the mobian screamed, I was trying to savoring the taste but it wasn't what I wanted, then someone pulled the mobian away from me, Rouge.
As Rouge looked at me, I then looked up and hissed at her, fangs on display. "What the fuck Shadow, what's going on with you?", as I looked at her, I saw the bat coming up to me trying to talk to me. There was one thing she sadly didn't know, I wasn't in control, I then dashed towards her, burying my hand in her chest as I held her heart, my gloves soakes in her blood. She looked at me in horror and begged at me to not kill her, when I was about to kill her, I felt something behind me so I flared up my quills more and cut whoever or whatever it was before I blacked out.
POV: ROUGE
As Shadow's hand was in my chest, someone then came up behind him, he quills then went up higher as it scratched the mobian. The figure then snapped his neck and he then fell to the floor, his gloves covered in my blood. "Your welcome Rouge", the mobian said. I blinked once and saw they were gone, the person sounded like Shadow but his voice was a little deeper....WAS IT MEPHILES! I thought. Shadow was laying on the ground, very much dead, I then picked him up and flew us home.
POV: SONIC
Shadow then dashed off as Rouge followed him, I stood there and blinked, "What just happened?". I turned and looked at the pink hedgehog, "I think we just got ditched" I said as I twiddled with my fingers, after talking and texting Shadow for a while, I felt happy knowing he was my friend even though I didn't really trust him at first.
Our lunch break soon ended and we all headed to class, as the class started to fill up with students, I then got worried when I didn't see Rouge or Shadow entered the classroom. Their bags were still hung up behind there chairs so they didn't leave, I thought. The other classes then flew by until it was time to leave the school to head home. I decided to text Aunt Sarah and tell her I'll be home late and she replied with an 'okay :)'. I waited 30 minutes in the school looking put for them, "Kid, the school is closing now, please head home" I then turned around to face a security guard, I looked at him and nodded. As the bags still hung there, I then picked both bags up and used my super-sonic speed to reach home faster.
While I ran saying in my head that I would give them the bags tomorrow, my mind then rewinded back to the day I followed Shadow to a mansion. I then holted to a stop and went back to where I saw the mansion. As I looked at the door of the mansion, I took a deep breath before knocking on the door. I stood there waiting for about five minutes until someone opened the door with a shock look on their face
POV: SHADOW
The room was bright as I opened my eyes and saw I was in my own room...I think, Wasn't I in school? I thought. The door moved inwards to reveal a CAT LIKE FIGURE?! My eyes were still trying to adjust to the light so everything was blurry. I then rubbed my eyes and was Rouge standing infront of me with a annoyed and angered expression.
"Why?" She asked making me confused, oh no what did I do this time? Did the same thing happen? Did I lose control again? I questioned myself. I opened my mouth to speak before the bat pinned me against the wall, "Di-d...it-t..ha-ap-pen-n...aga-ain..?" I struggled to speak as her grip got tighter making my frown. "YOU ALMOST KILLED ME! SHADOW THIS IS GETTING OUT OF CONTROL, FIRST IT HAPPENED ON THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL AND NOW!" she shouted as tears formed in my eyes, I never cried before but knowing I almost killed Rouge was an understatement.
She then let go of me, making me fall to the ground. I then bursted into tears making Rouge scared, shocked and sorry for me, "I'm so sorry Rouge, I don't know what's happening to me! This has never happened before, I- just-" I stopped talking as I heard someone knock on the door...
"Were you expecting someone?" I shock my head as I looked and Rouge's blank expression. Before I could say more about how sorry I am she then told me something that shocked me, "when you were about to kill me, someone came and snapped your neck, they sounded exactly like you but the voice was way deeper". "Mephiles....he's going to use the fact that he saved to...to torment me and as leverage over something at some point" I muttered as Rouge moved her ears in order to hear what I said.
We both then remembered something....someone knocked the door earlier, Rouge then told me that she was going to see who it was and I just nodded. The bat then dashed downstairs to see who or what was at the door...
POV: ROUGE
As I was presented by a door I then opened it and saw Sonic outside with Shadow and my school bag, "How did you find this place and what are you doing here?" I asked knowing one of the answers to my own question, "Is Shadow here?" Before I could make up a lie, the black and red hedgehog then came downstairs seeing me by the door talking, he probably heard from upstairs but couldn't recognize the voice.
"Who is it Rouge?" Shadow said with a angered and annoyed tone as Sonic's tail wagged. "It's no on-" I was then cut off by Sonic, "Shadow, it's me!" Shadow then ran up to the door furiously, "What are you doing here?", Sonic then looked at him, probably wondering why he was so mad. "After you both dashed off, I looked out for you both, even staying after school waiting, but when no one showed up I just picked up both bags and came here to drop it off" Shadow then looked at him dumb founded.
POV: SHADOW
I looked at the blue hedgehog infront of me as I tried to recall when I gave him my address but then I realized....I never told him. "Sonic...I never told you where I lived" Sonic then turned pale and froze, "Well when I was heading home after school on Wednesday, and I saw you walking so I kind of followed you here, I know that was wrong and I am so sorry".
As he said that I wasn't mad or furious, I only studied about the day he said he followed me home. As I thought about what happened that day it then hit me...that was the day Mephiles attacked me. As someone waved there hand infront of my face, I then snapped back to reality, "Look Sonic, I'm not mad you followed me home okay, just head home now, we have school in the morning" I said as Sonic just nodded before handing me the bags. I then closed the door and saw Rouge looking at me like she figured out something, "It's him isn't it...Sonic made you snap like that, he made you ruthless without even knowing it" as Rouge said that I then sat on my couch and put my hands on my head...what if it really was him?
POV: SONIC
The door then closed, I felt so happy that Shadow never bawled at me for following him home. While I ran home, all I could do was smile as I thought about meeting him tomorrow at school.
I opened my door and dropped my bags before going to the kitchen to get something to eat. There was a note on the kitchen table, I picked it up and read it as a bigger smile on my face making my mouth hurt.
'Hey my darling Sonic, I left some chilidogs in the microwave for you, if your looking for me I'm sleeping in my room...Love you sweetheart don't let the bed bugs bite♡'
I took out the chilidogs and ate all leaving back nothing but crumbs. I took the note and headed upstairs to my room and placed the note on my desk. I opened the door to my aunts room and saw her sleeping which made my heart melt. I chuckled before closing the door leaving her to sleep. As it got later into the night, I did all my homework and took a shower before cuddling up in my blanket, thinking about tomorrow would be...I just know it's gonna be great...
