(Narrator's POV)
Steven and Noir Connie finally arrived at the Pink Jaguar Club and met up with the bouncer. And while he recognized Connie, he gave Steven a look.
"Don't worry. He's a guest of mine. He's helping me out with a problem. Is my boyfriend in there?" Noir Connie asked as the bouncer nodded and let them both in.
Steven couldn't help but be amazed as it was as if he was in a 40's movie. The jazzy atmosphere, the sound of the saxophone and trumpet playing and the people dancing to the music and having drinks with each other.
But the hybrid quickly got his mind back in the game as the sound of a window crashing could be heard as Stephen had easily dispatched of the bouncer and threw him through the window of the club, causing panic as the armed guards fired their guns only for Stephen to put up a barrier and deflect them all before taking all of them down with a shockwave.
"What is this guy?!?" Noir Connie exclaimed as she fired her own Tommy gun at Stephen but had no more luck than the guards as Stephen laughed....
(Pow!!)
(Crash!)
Until Steven went Pink form and sent his evil counterpart through the window with a punch!
"I'll deal with him. You find your boyfriend! Make sure he's safe!" Steven said as Noir Connie nodded and searched the club for her boyfriend as Steven took the fight to Stephen as Connie looked on in worry from the car, hating the fact that she couldn't help Steven.
Punch after punch, blow after blow as Stephen did his best to do damage but Steven was able to block and counter, sending his evil counterpart back each time. This went on for a while until....
"What's your plan, Stephen? Why are you doing this?" Steven asked after a lengthy clash with his evil counterpart, who chuckled.
"Isn't it obvious? I've seen other versions of you that are like me. And this may be a harsh truth for you to hear: When I look at them and saw them in their respective worlds, I realized something: They're all happier than you, Steven. Even I'm happier than you. Know why? Because all of us feel accomplished. All of us together are part of something bigger and that gives us peace of mind. But you? You can't conceive or comprehend that now, but you will." Stephen said as Steven went silent.
"What do you mean?" He asked as Stephen chuckled yet again.
"It's very simple: You may be the Prime version. The true Steven Universe. But in our eyes? In my eyes? YOU'RE the dark version. You're the one who needs to open his eyes to his own complicity. In other words, in our eyes? You're the one who's from the darkest timeline, Steven Universe." Stephen said as Steven went silent.
Was that....true?
"Ey! Guy that looks like me! Don't let this mook get in your head!" A voice said as Steven looked and saw him. His counterpart from this world. And he wasn't alone:
