Paige's pov
We're warming up right now and I can't stop looking at the seat where Demi and Marisa are supposed to be sitting at. They're not here yet. "Relax. She'll come" Nika says passing me the ball. I nod and shoot a 3 pointer.
There's 5 more minutes till the game starts. Relax. She'll be here soon. She's probably running late or got stuck in traffic. Yeah that's why. "Girls!" Coach Geno yelled at us to come over.
We put the balls away and gather around him. I take my warm up off and toss it on the chair and I pay attention to the coach. He explains the play and all of that until the buzzer went off.
"You girls got this game in the bag!" He says making us all nod and cheer. KK, Aaliyah, Nika, Azzi and I go on the court and get into our places. We wait for the other team to finish. The ref got inpatient so she blew the whistle to tell them to hurry up.
"Look" Nika points to my right and there she is. Wearing the warm up that I gave her. She actually wore it. I thought she wouldn't but she did. She's sitting next to Marisa who has a poster in her hands. Demi is talking to Marisa and points to the girls who are on the bench.
Azzi gently slaps my back and smirks at me. I roll my eyes and her and focus on the game. Aaliyah was doing jump ball. She obviously got the ball and the game started.
Demitra's pov
"Damn Paige is good?" Marisa whispers in my ear. "Yeah" I watch her eye her like a hawk. "She's also hot as fuck and you're telling me you don't like her?" I nod my head. She doesn't need to know that I might have a little crush on her. Not yet at least.
"Well damn" she said after Paige just shot her fourth three pointer in the first quarter. Everyone cheers at the three she just made and how she blew a kiss to me while running back to the other side.
A few minutes later, Paige gets subbed in and Q is now on the court. I watch Paige take a sip of her water and the she looks back at me and winks. I giver her a thumbs up and she goes and focuses it back on the game.
So watch her watch the game and she gets up and starts jumping around. "She hit her like that. That's a technical foul" (iykyk) she shows the ref where the other team hit Azzi. The ref ignored her and she rolled her eyes and sat back down.
I watch Aubrey steal the ball from one of the girls on the other team and Paige yells while standing up "just like that Aubrey"
Paige's pov
"Good win girls!" Geno congratulates us. He talks about some things that we can improve on, things we did good and next practice. After a while, he leaves us to change. I quickly change into our matching uniforms and grab my backpack and walk out.
"What's the rush?" Nika ask rushing to me with her suit on and her backpack on her back. "Nothing. I just want to go home" she shakes her head. "Yeah right" I ignore her.
I look around to find the brunette I've been crushing on. I see her talking in the corner with Geno and Marisa. I quickly make my way towards them. "She's a good one. Keep her" Geno told Demi that and I wonder if they were talking about me. Probably because I'm awesome.
"I will sir" he nods and walks away. "You did amazing" Marisa tells me giving me a quick hug. "Thanks" I smile but only look at Demi. "Good game" she smiles at me and plays with her shirt. "Thanks" we stare at each other for a bit.
"Can you guys stop eye fucking each other?" Azzi said walking past us making me look away. "Yo Bueckers! Let's go" Ashlynn shouts. I give her a thumbs up and she walks away with the rest of the team.
"I have to go. Text me when you get home" I give her a quick hug and a kiss on the cheek then rush over to the team who's just getting on the bus. "I saw that little kiss. Paige is in love" Nika shakes me. Whenever she's excited, she always shakes me or jumps around.
"Shut up" I set my bag down and sit down. I shut my eyes and rest the whole back to school. Once we arrived, I got my bag and got off of the bus and walked inside. I then felt my phone vibrate and I check to see who texted.
Demitra K.
I'm home
Okay good
I then put my phone away and go up to my dorm and lay in bed for a good 30 minutes. I check my instagram and TikTok. I posted one of my drafts on there. Then I went on snap and saw what Demi posted.
Demitra's pov
Once I got home, I texted Paige then laid in bed for 30 minutes just scrolling through Instagram. I then get a text from Paige.

I smile at her texts then set my phone down and let it charge. I take a quick shower then put on my pyjamas and get in bed. I went on TikTok for a bit and saw some edits of Paige and some of us two. I made a secret section and saved the edits there for later.
I then congratulated the girls on their win on my Insta story to make it believable and so that I'm playing my role in this whole 'relationship' thing.
After a while, I set my phone down and tried to get some sleep but my phone dinged before I even got the chance. I groan and look at who texted.
