We walk down a lane hand in hand. Not realizing our time together would come to an end. Your fingers were so cold but the heat from my hands kept you warm, yet the tips of your fingers were so soft and tender. That moment in time my mind took an oath to surrender. I don't regret that day even though it hurts to remember. Our love wasn't meant to last and that's okay. Some things just isn't meant to stay. Like two beautiful birds lost to the wind. One beautiful soul taught that love was a sin and for her to love another like she did then she sinned. The other soul knew what love was but stayed away as violence is all she knew that came from it. Two broken people scared of love but tried anyway and learned to be apart in the end. What a sad but beautiful end
