Turing my head I spotted Elena's figure walking down the hall towards the kitchen. Smiling at her I joked "can't wait to see what you wrote today" a small grin on my face as she walked past me and hit the back of my head. "Hey" I laughed a hand reaching back to feel where she hit me.
"Toast I can make toast" our aunt Jenna said with desperation in her voice, while she looked in the fridge. I couldn't help but smile at her, both with the fact I find it funny she's so worried but also appreciate as I know how much she's done for us.
"It's all about the coffee, Aunt Jenna" Elena said while making herself the coffee. I was looking at her when a familiar voice entered the kitchen. "Is there coffee" Jeremy spoke.
"It's your first day of school and I'm totally unprepared" Aunt Jenna complain. "Well I think your doing an alright job" I said while looking at her scrambling through her purse, she paused for a minutes to look at me with amused face. Before turning back to her purse.
"Lunch money?" Jenna asked as she came up to us. "I'm okay" me and Elena said at the same time causing us to look at each other and laugh. While Jeremy took the money without hesitation.
I stood up from where I was walking over to where my bag was. "Anything else? A number 2 pencil?" She asked before continuing "what am I missing".
"Don't you have a big presentation today?" I asked while walking past her with my bag. "Oh yeah you were talk no about it awhile back" Elena said backing me up.
"I'm meeting with my thesis advisor at" Jenna looked down at the clock on her wrist "Now, Crap" Jenna said while taking her hair out and letting it down.
"Then go, We'll be fine" Elena said. "Yeah, just go Jenna we will be okay" I said and Jenna looked at us smiling before walking off.
"I'm still coming with you and bonnie" I questioned Elena, which I got a nod and "yes" as an answer. Satisfied I picked up my plate putting in in the sink. "You okay" Elena asked Jeremy.
"Don't start" he answered before walking off. I turned to look at Elena a sympathetic smile on my face. "Ignore him, he just needs a bit of time" I said trying to reassure her that nothing was her fault and that Jeremy was just acting out. She thanked me before turning to look at Jeremy. "I just get worried, yknow" she said. I walked towards her and hugged her. " I know, we all worry" I said while hugging her.
"Come on" I said while walking towards the door. Opening it I saw Bonnies car outside, I smiled at her before walking down with Elena right behind me.
Opening the back door I heard Bonnie ask "so how are my two favourite Gilbert's doing". Both me and Elena smiled before replying with "okay" and "Good".
As the drive to school was going on I just listened to Bonnie. "So Grams is telling me I'm psychic" Bonnie said with an jokey tone. "Our ancestors were from Salem, witches and all that" she continued looking at mine and Elena's faces. "I know, crazy, but she's going on and on about it, I'm like 'Put this woman in a home already'" Bonnies continued.
Busting out with laughter "Bonnie! You can't say that" I said still laughing. She laughed shaking her head. "I know, I know but I started thinking, I predicted Obama and I predicted Health ledger" she said. I could help but still laugh while Elena seemed to be in her own world. "And I still think Florida will break off and turn into little resort islands" Bonnies continued still on her rant.
I couldn't help but keep smiling while listening to her. I kept looking at Elena, as I just wanted to make sure she was okay after what happened and all. The idea of cars has scared her so I almost felt that I needed to be constantly checking on her.
Bonnies stopped talking before turning to Elena who had been spaced out for nearly the whole time. "Elena, back in the car" she shouted, making both me and Elena jump.
"I did it again, didn't I? I'm sorry Bonnie" Elena spoke. I put my hand on her shoulder before whispering "it's okay, it's not your fault okay". She turned around to give me a small smile while mouthing 'thank you'.
"You were telling me that-" Elena started the sentence. But Bonnies finished it with "That I'm psychic now" .
"Right, okay then predict something about me" Elena started talking. I soon started zoning out while looking at the round. Both Bonnie and Elena's voices started to be drowned out by silence. When I was snapped out of it by something hitting the screen.
This caused all of us to gasp and the car to go out of control. "What was that?" Bonnies asked panic in her voice. "Oh, my god" Bonnie spoke again. Me and Elena both were still shocked as we said nothing.
"Are you two okay" Bonnie asked us. "It's fine, we're okay" we both responded. I leaned back into the seat and let Bonnies and Elena's voices be drowned out again as I zoned out again. Before I knew it we were at school and I was stepping out the car and into the building.
"I better be going" I said to Elena and Bonnie before heading off to my locker and the towards my first class of the day. I signed before sitting down , knowing that today was gonna be a long day.
The day went by as slow as I had predicted it would go, and yet I learned and remembered nothing of it. Maiming because the only thing I could think of was when I could leave this bell and go home.
I walked out of the school so the Bonnie and Elena. "I think I'm gonna go to..yeah to write and then I'll go home" Elena said to me. I just nodded as watched as she walked in the opposite direction. I turned to Bonnie "I can finally go in the front!" I laughed before running towards her car. She laughed at me before running after me.
The drive back home was quick and soon enough I was stepping outside of Bonnies car and waving at her while she drove off. I walked into the house and went straight upstairs to me room. I started getting changed and wore a new top I had bought the weekend before.
Before heading out and walking towards the Grill. I pushed open the door and saw Elena and her friends and started approaching them. But on my way over I was stopped by someone. "Haven't seen that top before Gilbert, looks good" Tyler said to me. I looked at him disgusted "yeah it's new, and I'd rather you not say things like that, okay" I said with a sarcastic smile on my face. Before walking away from him and Matt towards Elena.
"Hey" I said while grabbing a chair and sitting between Caroline and Bonnie. All eyes were on me before Caroline started speaking. "So you were born in Mystic falls?" Caroline asked the boy who was sitting across from her. "Mm-hm, I moved when I was still young" he answered.
"Parents" this time it was Bonnie asking. "My parents passed away" he answered. This brought the whole mood down and it felt a bit awkward. Leaning towards Bonnie "who is this" I whispered. "Stefan, he's new" Bonnie whispered back.
"I'm sorry" Elena said looking at him. "Any siblings" she asked the man who I know knew was called Stefan. "None that I talk to, I live with my uncle" he answered. Him and Elena making eye contact made me curious.
"So Stefan, if your new, you don't know about the party tomorrow" Caroline started. I caught Elena's attention and mouthed 'so you and him huh' with a smirk on my face. She gave me a funny look and mouthed back ' no , I don't know'. Both of us smiling before turning to listen to the conversation again.
"It's a back-to-school thing at the falls" Bonnie said. Stefan turned to look at my sister "are you going" he asked. But before Elena could answer I spoke for her. "Of course she's going" I said, Elena giving me a small side eye before turning back to Stefan and nodding.
After that we all were talking I introduced myself to Stefan and he introduced himself to me. Before we all realised hours had gone by and me and Elena started walking back home.
"So Stefan is it" I asked while nudging her side. "Stoppp, I don't know yet' she said laughing and hitting my shoulder. "You would look good together" I hinted at her. "I'm gonna stop you there" she said looking at me.
We had reached home by this point and separated to our bedrooms. I was so tired that I didn't that I just walked straight to bed before I passed out.
The sound of my alarm woke me up which honestly frightened me at first. I had gotten use to waking up whenever that the sound of an alarm scared me in the morning. The whole morning was a blur and I was in school before I truly started to wake up properly.
Again school was hell and boredom was the only thing I felt. The school day again dragged and left me watching the clock and waiting for the end of school bell, and when that bell rung I was out of the place within seconds, and back home.
I started getting changed for this bonfire party thing. Knocking on Elena's door i wLke din with at least four outfits that I liked and was thinking of wearing. "So option 1" I said while holding the first outfit. "It's okay" she said, and I throw that one on her bed before picking up the next outfit. "Option 2" I said.
"Better but not the one" she answered, again I threw this outfit on her bed and picked up the next one. "Option three" I said holding it up. "That's the one" she said. "Wait I've got to show the other-" I nearly finished before she cut me off. "This one" she said smiling at me. I smiled back picking up all the clothes and heading towards my room.
"Come on yn" I heard Elena say. "Coming" I said while applying the last of my blush. I always liked makeup and took pride in my appearance. I ran downstairs and walked through a already opened front door.
Once we arrived i spotted Caroline and walked up to her while Elena walked towards Bonnie. "That Stefan guy is gorgeous" Caroline gushed about him, I could help but laugh at her "wait there he is" she said before running off. I looked from afar and watched as they spoke and soon walked away.
I then saw Bonnie walking and ran up to her. " you okay" I asked as she seemed to be stressed about something. "I'm fine just too much to drink" she said stress still in her voice and a look of worry on her face. "Come here" I said a hand on her back and I guided her to a bench. "Your gonna be okay, right" I asked worried for her. "Yeah" she spoke a small smile on her face.
I then heard loads of noise and turned around to see loads of people surrounding someone. I looked at Bonnie before walking to Elena and Jeremy, as I looked down I could help but gasp and cover my mouth. The sight of Vickis body scared me and shocked me.
After the ambulance arrived me and Elena looked around for Jeremy. Seeing him I ran over " you okay?" I asked worried for him. "We called Aunt Jenna she's on her way" I said trying to get Jeremy to talk but I was met with silence. Elena came up to us and stood with us waiting for Jenna.
When she picked us up I sat in the back with Jeremy while Elena sat in the front. The way home was mainly silent and when we got back it was again straight to bed. But before I went to sleep I took my phone and started typing.
'Hope you okay- yn' I typed out before sending it.
'Thanks-Matt' I could help but feel bad for him, I knew what it was like to think your gonna lose someone important to you.
