"I say we should kill him tonight ain't no point in keeping him around. It's already the end of the month and the money ain't come in. All he keeps doing is ranting off his bitch ass mouth tryna stall us or sum."
"Doug will you shut the fuck up you sound like a lil bitch right now."
"It doesn't matter if we keep him around for longer. Not like he has family out looking for him. His daddy left for some milk a long time ago and his momma is a whore."

They all snickered
"Nah but some shit gon go down tonight. Overheard old man talking bout it this morning."
The glass slipped out of my hand and hit the floor. "Shit"
"Ayo what's going on in here" Kev approached me in the kitchen looking at the glass on the floor.
"My b-bad I'll c-clean it up"
I bent down to pick up the pieces.
"That's right bitch clean this shit up and finish washing these dishes" he mugged me.
I bit my tongue from saying something
"You wanna say something bitch?"
I stayed silent
He kicked some of the glass and a piece slit my finger.
"What the fuck is your problem?" I mumbled
"What the fuck you say to me bitch?" he pulled me up by my hair and slammed me into the kitchen counter. I felt something icy cold in my temple.
"N-no no p-p-please!" I begged
Tears were streaming down my face.
Shots fired
OMNISENT
"Something ain't right. They seem agitated at every sound. Look at the way how they go for the strap when a car horn went off."
"Maybe there are a bunch of scaredy cats " Kya chuckled
"Nah" Genie shook his head. "Past two days they weren't like this."
Kya's phone began to ring
"Oh hey girl" she answered
"Yeah, we are out grabbing some food. You feeling better now?"
"We'll be back soon tho watchu want to eat? Chipotle?"
"Alright I'll see you soon. Bye"
"I hate lying to her" Kya sighed
"It's for the best," Genie stated
"Yes, but I feel like we should at least let Trinity know the full plan," Kya told him.
"How will that help? She ain't exactly able to do much in her current state."
"Betrayal ain't something easy to come back from."
"Dip your head!" Genie yelled sinking back into his seat.
"What's happening?" Kya dipped her head while giving him a confused look.
The red Honda Civic passed by them. Windows down and speakers booming.
It slowly came to a halt and one of the men walked out of the house and jogged down the steps towards the car.
"Can't let them see us. It's the same car Trinity told us about." Genie went on.
"Nigga you need to get some fucking tint on your windows then they won't be able to see our asses." Kya shot back.
"Watchu you want me to do? Drive my Dodge charger around in the hood. You begging for attention and to get robbed. " Genie smacked his lips giving her a weird look.
Genie furrowed his eyebrows when he saw the guy signaling the driver to go around the back of the house.
"Nah something going on," Genie said to himself.
"What?" Kya asked
"If we getting Ayo and Renae out, tonight has to be the night."
"What nigga?!" Kya asked getting irritated he not answering her.
"Genie put the car out of the park and drove up closer to the house. He squinted his eyes trying to see the backyard from through the tiny walkway at the side of the house.
He saw two men carrying a body bag into the trunk of the car.
"Genie what are you looking at?" Kya looked between him and the house.
"Bro they got a fucking body bag in the trunk."
"What?!" Kya's eyes widened
Genie stopped in the center of the road putting the car in park.
"What you doing?" Kya furrowed her eyebrows.
"I'm going in" Genie opened the car door.
"What?! No!" Kya grabbed onto his arm.
"Bro let go of me" Genie smacked his lips shoving her off.
"You need to chill out"
"Kya they got a fucking body bag round there! That could be either one of them! We wasting too much time sitting back."
"We gonna get them out Genie but acting on impulse right now will make things worse. Just calm down and stick to the plan. Tonight's the night for sure."
"Shit!" Genie hit the steering wheel out of anger which made the honk go off.
The door to the trap house opened and two men were eyeing their car.
Kya slapped his arm multiple times. "Genie go go go! They looking at us"
Genie slammed on the gas and sped off down the street.
Back at the Motel...
"Hey, you almost done? If I wait any longer I might–"
"Yeah gimme a min" Genie answered
He tucked the gun in the waist of his jeans and pulled his shirt over it.
Genie sighed opening the bathroom door and was face to face with Trinity. She ducked under his arm and shut the door behind her as Genie walked out.
I was lying down on the motel bed with her airpods in her ears and scrolling through her phone.
"Kya" Genie tapped her foot.
"What nigga?!" she looked up at him.
"I'm leaving now"
"What?" she raised an eyebrow then took out her airpods.
"I'm leaving now so make sure you keep an eye on her."
Kya sighed
"Genie look I told you we shouldn't do this behind her back. "
"It's for the better. She's pregnant and she shouldn't be stressing herself out. If something happens to the baby or her it falls back on me because I'm the one who brought her here."
"Then why bring her in the first place" Kya gave him an annoyed look.
"Just watch her" Genie sighed
"Watch who? Where are you going?" Trinity eyed the both of them as she walked out of the bathroom.
Y'all going to be good on your own? Going to take care of some business downtown LA" Genie eyed Kya giving her a slight nod.
"Yeah we should be good" Kya nodded her head
"Are y'all not telling me something?" Trinity eyed the both of them.
"Why would you ask that?" Genie curiously raised an eyebrow.
"You guys seem on edge ever since y'all came back off the road this afternoon."
"Nah it's nothing to worry about" Genie shook his head.
Kya bit her lip in guilt.
"Kya?" Trinity raised an eyebrow at her.
"Uh...yeah nothing to worry about." Kay smiled
"See y'all later" Genie waved before exiting the motel room.
"So you going to tell me what's going on?" Trinity joined her on the bed.
"Do you want some food? We can order food" Kya said
Trinity gave her a weird look. It was very weird that she was changing the topic.
"C'mon now Kya be real with me. What aren't you two telling me?" Trinity folded her arms across her chest.
The guilt was eating Kya up so that she couldn't hold it in anymore.
"This afternoon we went to the trap house. We ended up seeing a body bag but we don't know who the body is yet. Genie just left to go handle it right now."
Trinity got up out the bed and began searching through her clothes.
"What are you doing?"
"We're going to the trap house," Trinity said
"What?! Are you crazy? It's dangerous Trin and you could get hurt."
Trinity held up her hand
"Kya I don't want to be lectured by you right now, especially by you of all people."
She stripped off her old clothes and put on a tracksuit.
"Trinity I didn't tell you because–"
"Nah I don't want to hear it. I thought you were my friend." she sized her up.
Kya sighed bowing her head
"The least you can do is show me the way to the trap house so I can save my sister."
