McKenna
My eyes shot open and I stared at the blank wall in front of me and sighed. As the week passed I was still missing Jenna more than ever. I didn't want to do anything, the only thing I had managed to do was work and shower and eat. Vic was with me all the time, it is his apartment after all, but no words were spoken. He just either stared at the ceiling with me and held my hand or cuddled with me.
I couldn't bare to step foot into the door of my apartment knowing what happened right behind the closed door. I haven't been there in a week. I had basically moved in with Vic at this point. Going through the same routine day by day.
Today felt different though and I couldn't understand why. I closed my eyes and buried my face into my pillow before falling asleep again.
Of course though, good things never do really last, I felt a weight lay on top of me and groaned.
"Mickey get up, you've been like this for days." Vic whispered cuddling into me. His hair curtained over my face as he laid on me.
"I don't want to." I said and stared at the wall, he should really paint that. White is so boring, so blank.
"Mick, I'll pull you out of this bed and dress you myself if I have to. We're going out today and we're gonna have a blast." He said and got up off of me.
"What if I don't want to?" I asked and closed my eyes.
"You have no choice." He said yanking the blankets off and making me shiver. "Mama and Papa are having a barbeque today and Mike, Jaime, Tony and Kellin are going as well so get your pretty little ass up and ready." He said walking out of the room, shutting the door behind him. I growled and got up and sat there. I was definitely awake now whether I liked it or not.
All I had were my work clothes, skirts and blouses and flats and high heels, nothing casual. I looked to my right and saw an outfit sitting on Vic's side of the bed and looked at it.
High waisted shorts and a tee shirt. I like his style. Heh, I meant my style.
I walked into the bathroom and started getting ready. I brushed out my blonde hair and clipped it to the side to have it swooping over one shoulder.
I turned on the faucet and rinsed my toothbrush under it before slabbing toothpaste on it and stuck it in my mouth and brushed. I was always a messy brusher, toothpaste would always drip out of my mouth and down my chin or get on my clothes.
I spit out the toothpaste and dried off my mouth before grabbing my makeup out of the cabinet and started the long process of making myself look pretty.
"Damn Kenna, you look hot." I spun around with the mascara in my hand and stared at Vic who was biting his lip.
"You're a dog." I joked and rolled my eyes turning around back towards the mirror.
"Woof Woof, but I'm your dog." He said and cuddled with my arm pouting. I laughed a little and looked down at my mascara brush and twisted it closed before cleaning up.
I walked out and grabbed the outfit on the bed and quickly stripped and pulled out the outfit and adjusted it to my liking.
"Hey, hi, yeah, I'm borrowing one of your snap backs." I said to Vic before taking one off the dresser. I put it on backwards and tied up my converse before standing up and caught eyes with Vic.
"What?" I finally asked when I realized he was staring.
"Have I ever told you that you're hot?" He asked stupidly. I rolled my eyes and grabbed his hand before leading the both of us out the door. He started walking ahead of me and I paused to stare at my door for a little bit before running my hand down the door and sighing loudly. Why her?
I quickly caught up with Vic and walked by his side until we got to his car and got in while he started it.
"Are you ok?" He asked as soon as I shut the door. He turned left and started driving to his parents house.
"Um, yeah I guess." I said shrugging and looked out the window.
"You're bullshitting me." He said simply before beeping at a car that cut in front of him. "I saw you staring at your door." He said as he stopped at a red light and relaxed.
I didn't say anything as I looked over to him and nodded slightly.
"I think you should move in." He said grasping my attention.
"What?"
"You heard me. I think you should move in." He said seriously. I knew that he wasn't doing this as a next step in relationship wise, but to save me more tears wise. Though I knew he was looking out for my well being.
Plus he was a stubborn fuck and wouldn't take no as an answer.
"Ok." I said softly and watched as he pulled into a driveway of cozy looking house. I heard Vic sigh content and shut off the car.
Then it hit me. I was about to meet Vic's parents for the first time. I started breathing heavily and Vic looked at me panicked.
"What's wrong! Why are you on the verge of a panic attack?" He said turning towards me so that he could pull me into his embrace.
He cradled me as I calmed myself down and was staring blankly at his steering wheel.
"What if they don't like me?" I asked, he laughed and kissed the top of my head.
"They love everyone babe, they're the nicest people you'll meet." He whispered. I nodded slowly and got out of the car and took a deep breath.
Vic came around from his side and grabbed my hand intertwining our fingers before walking towards the back where people were talking and socializing.
"KENNAAAAAAAAAAAA!" I heard someone yell before I was tackled to the ground, Vic's hand being ripped from mine.
"Damn it Jaime! Are you gonna do that with every girlfriend I have!?" Though the statement sounded a little like he was a manwhore I let it go and hugged Jaime back.
"I've only done that twice because you've only had two girlfriends." Jaime said getting up. I take back that statement I said before. I sat up and got up with a groan and patted myself off.
"Vic! So good to see you son!" A man that was about the same height as Vic said and hugged him.
"Hey dad. This is my girlfriend McKenna. Mick this is my dad Vic." He introduced I smiled shyly and fixed a strand of my hair.
"Hi Mr. Fuentes it's good to meet you." I said holding out my hand.
"McKenna, call me papa." He said completely ignoring my outstretched hand and hugged me. I jerked in surprise and hugged back before I pulled away and grabbed Vic's hand nervously. He rubbed my hand with his thumb and was staring off into space.
I waved my hand in front of his face as he turned his head to me and smiled.
"What's up?" I asked. He shrugged.
"Nothing just thinking, c'mon let's get something to eat." I only nodded as we walked over to the table and he sat me down and asked me what I wanted.
"Burger please." He nodded and walked away. Tony was typing away on his phone and Mike sat back in one of the chairs smoking a cigarette.
"Dios mio Mike, how many times do I have to tell you! These kill you." A short woman short ripping the cigarette out of his hand and stomping on it.
"Sorry ma." He grumbled and when she walked away he took another a new one and lit it.
Vic came back a moment later and placed my plate down in front of me and sat down with his.
"Why'd you get me so much?" I asked him and looked at the gross amount of food on my plate.
"No reason." He said shrugging.
"Jeez Kenna you got a lot, must be eating for two." Jaime said nudging me with his elbow. Tony looked up and gave me a sad look before sighing and looking back down at his phone.
"No Jaime, I'm not." I answered. Taking a bite of a burger and savoring the amazing taste.
Vic stood up suddenly and everyone's attention was on him as he cleared his throat and took a sip of his beer.
"Everyone I'd like to make an announcement." He started. Mike turned his head and got up walking towards the table and stood behind Tony.
"Its a little soon, but McKenna and I have decided to have a baby." He announced. I couldn't fathom my anger as he stood there with a proud expression and looked down at me and smiled.
It was one of those angers where you're the calmest person ever, but you're planning this person to die inside a volcano in your head. That was me precisely and right now I was imagining throwing Vic in the lava of the volcano.
"Isn't that right Kenna?" He helped me stand up and I smiled awkwardly and laughed a little. I scratched the back of my neck.
"Um, apparently." I said softly. Jaime, Mike and Vic cheered along with Mike's and Vic's parents.
"Congratulations dude!"
"That's great bro."
"My son, growing up."
Choruses of congratulations filled the air and the only thing I could do was look at Tony who had managed to quietly slip into the house without a word.
An: I'm sorry this is late, I've literally been a busy bee the last three days and I don't really like it. I miss my no life :c
