Adrian's pov
Two days after
We postponed the visit to the mall and went today . She's more quiet and reserved to herself today , short and simple sentences
She's been looking back ever since we arrive here
" Dri someone is following us "
" What do you mean , since when "
" I don't know , probably the black car from earlier on "
She stops panicking and we enter the ring shop , they lock up behind us and I look for the people

( Second option : diamond layer and square rim crystal )

We look at all the options and her eyes glow on each one . She picks the second option , I have to up my game when it comes to our wedding rings
I give her the card while I make a phone call , I step outside and make sure to keep my voice at a low tone
She finishes paying up and I drop my call immediately , I look down on her finger and she's already wearing it . She flexes her hand infront of me
All that's left now is to make sure everything goes well tonight . It was our engagement party , everything feels so rushed I don't feel ready for it
I take a deep breath and catch up to her , who was already half way in the mall
She reaches her hand out and I hold it , we meet with Rika at a near by cafe shop . She was there before us and she said she had something to tell us
" Hey Ri , what's going on "
" Hays someone has been following me , and ever since you left the club . Some crazy men have been visiting "

" They are all dressed the same , they have the same tattoo on their left arms "

She stands up and hugs her friend , they head to the counter to place a order . Observing them from a far , she shows her the ring and they both laugh to it
The door bell rings and it swings open , I was dialing Gabriel when suddenly it felt like something was wrong
I turned around and the three men who just entered take out guns at the same time . I look towards the girls who have no idea what was happening
Three shots fired to the counter and it felt like time was paused . The customers begin to scream and the girls run to the stuff room
They run out and the people are still afraid , I stand up and run towards the girls
Hailey is on the floor , I hand Rika my phone to call for an ambulance . She is unconscious , she can barely open her eyes
I press on the wound and she screams in pain . The staff members call for help , after waiting for a while . The premedics arrive and take her up the stretcher
She held onto the metal of the stretcher , screaming in pain . Rika runs after them and I call for Gabriel , he fetches me and we head to the hospital
" Fuck ! Fuck ! How did you let this happen "
" I'm sorry Dri , she'll make it . Listen I'll look into "
" You better . You fucking owe me one , send the CCTV footage from my dashcam "
We enter and the receptionist assists us , Rika is pacing up and down outside her door . I only got a peck of what's happening inside
" Adrian ! Bring him inside , Adrian !
She calls out my name and I enter the room , she is sweating heavily and can barely breathe
She held on so tight to my hand as they removed the bullet from her body . They stitch her up and give her some pain killers
She takes deep breaths and looks at me , I look at both of her hands and they are filled with blood . Even her gorgeous ring is
She eventually gets sleepy and passes out , I exit her room and her mom pushes past the door
" What happened Adrian , what happened to my love "
I bow my head , not even finding the words to answer her . She breaks down into tears and her voice begins to ache , I assure her she'll be better
The next morning
I didn't even get that much of sleep yesterday , it was a struggle waking up at night . Someone knocks on my bedroom door and its Rika
She's all dressed and ready to leave , we enter the car and I begin to drive
She's quiet the whole drive to the hospital , she's shaking . She keeps fidgeting and can't keep still , I offer her water but she refuses
" They were after you , weren't they "
" Yes , I don't know how they found out I was seeing her "
" Why her ?? Huh , I mean she wasn't even born in cartel or the gang life "
" She has potential to be my wife Rika , good important potential "
" If you need someone to look after her , I'm here . You may not believe but my father was a gang leader "

We eventually arrive at the hospital and it's the same process as yesterday . Take the name down and lead us to the room
She's all ready , wide and awake . She's wearing her favourite pair of sweatpants and a plain black top
She's limping towards Rika and I , she hugs her friend and stands firm . Rika exits the room and closes the door behind her
" Were they after you Adrian "
Shit how I don't love it when she calls me by my full name , I already know she's heavily mad
" Baby listen , I can explain "
" You bastard !! Were they after you or not . I almost got shot because of you "
" I know and I'm sorry "
" Listen here !! You'll tell me know what you really are , I don't believe that you are just a club owner so tell me THE FUCKING TRUTH "

She kneels down and I can barely hear her breathe , she stands up and takes her bag . Walking downstairs to the car , with Rika helping her
I ask Rika to drive them back to my house as I have to do something real quick , I hand her the keys and walk away as fast I can
I knew what I had to do , it was to take care of that disgusting pig
