༊*·˚𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆: summer was a very happy girl when she was young she didn't have many memories but a few were her mother teaching her how to play the piano and spending time with her father outside gardening. but when summer was very young her mother fell ill with breast cancer and was brought to the hospital where she was going to stay for a few weeks to see what was the best decision to go with. though the cancer was already growing too big and spreading throughout her body, her mother didn't have long to live. so summer and her father would visit her every day and spend a lot of time with her family even though the young girl barely knew what was going on. she was just happy to spend time with her mother, and she would come in and show her mother how her piano skills were growing. one day, her mother passed away, and her father was absolutely destroyed. he spent days grieving her mother before beginning to go back to work since the hospital bill took a big toll on their family. summer and her father moved into a smaller house and he took another job. growing up, summer excelled through school and was a generally good student. but she was a perfect victim of bullying growing up. she faced bullying from her classmates every day, it started off with them calling her names but as the years started to go by they began to get physical with the bullying. she would come home with bruises or scrapes across her figure from being bullied. it got to the point where summer was so scared to go to school. she really didn't have many friends, only nancy wheeler and barbra holland. the three girls grew quite close, spending a lot of time with each other, this was when summer felt that she had finally belonged with a group of people. she would spend a lot of time over at nancy's house, spending time with her best friends and her father became friends with karen and tom wheeler having dinners over at their house with her daughter summer quite often. when she started high school she thought she would have crushes on boys, which was not the case. she found herself slowly beginning to fall for her female classmates. at first she thought this was horrible since it was the eighties and being a lesbian wasn't alright with most people. but after a while and getting more educated with it, she accepted herself for who she was and decided she would come out to her father and tell him about her sexuality. and surprisingly it went well, her father was so happy that she felt comfortable enough to tell him about this and accepted who she was. once summer graduated highschool and accepted that her best friend barbra had died 'because of the hawkins powerplant' she got a job at starcourt mall in a clothing store. she was overjoyed to get this job and help her father out even more. so she worked really hard at this job to do her best. one day she went to go get ice cream at a parlour called scoops ahoy, that was the day that she met robin. summer swore it was love at first sight, as she ordered she became a flustered mess, barely even getting her order out. but the next day she came back to see robin, and so it almost became a tradition, during her breaks she would go to visit robin spending her time with her and ordering ice cream. and soon her feelings grew very strong towards robin, but she didn't say anything about it since she didn't want to ruin what was going on with her and robin.
