"Hello? Who's there?" * Remus spoke in a soft yet serious voice while walking in the hallways with his wand in hand*
From all the people in Hogwarts, from all the prefects and Professors that are walking around here in the middle of the night, I run into my dad. That is some back luck I have or some karma for trying to sneak out at this hour.
I just covered my mouth with my hands and hid behind a wall, I could see the light coming from his wand so if it was brighter I would know if he was close.
"Come out," *he said, speaking in a voice that would usually make some students stutter. There was no smile on his face, and he held his wand at a higher angle, which made him look more intimidating. However, this particular moment was different because he was looking for someone he cared about*.
I sigh heavily, I don't even know why I bother myself doing this when my dad knows every single time what I am about to do or if I am gonna get in trouble so I just walk in front of him grabbing a piece of my skirt nervously, I don't even was wearing my pajamas and was still in my uniform "I swear I can explain..." I say fast
"You better have a good explanation. It's late at night and you're not even wearing your pajamas. Where were you trying to go? Were you trying to sneak out into the forbidden forest at midnight?" *he glared at you, his tone stern and serious*.
I shook my head when he said "No no I swear I wasn't Dad" Having my father as my teacher and in Hogwarts was nice because I didn't miss him but was horrible because he found out about everything and his co-workers always told him how I was doing in their subjects "why you think the worse every time?" I asked changing a little the subject.
"I think the worst because you've done it in the past. I won't assume you're innocent until you give me a valid excuse for what you're doing outside alone at this hour. Tell me where you are going. Did you sneak out to meet someone?" *he narrowed his eyes at you, his tone becoming stricter each time he spoke*.
"No..." I growl because I have no idea how to explain this "I swear is nothing bad but I was going to Potions Master's office" I skipped the part where I was going to steal something and not ask nicely "I just need a potion and that's it"
"What kind of potion do you need?" *he cocked his head, his eyebrows furrowing in curiosity. It seemed almost innocent and harmless, but he still wasn't buying it.* "Why can't you wait until tomorrow and just get it during class? Why do you need a potion right now?"
He was asking so many questions but I was very used to it so I just decided to tell him "Well not a potion more of an antidote" I don't even know what I was looking for. I must pay more attention during potions.
"I was in the common room with Harry just talking and I got a gift that I don't know who belonged to but I left it on the couch, some box of chocolates but I got to the bathroom and when I came back Harry was eating half of it" I rolled my eyes because he was like an annoying brother to me, love him but he steals everything "and I think they had the love potion because he is acting all weird and in love for some guy" another student was trying to give me those chocolates so I could get in love with him "that's why I need the antidote"
"Wait a minute, you got the chocolates from someone who wants to make you fall in love with him?" *he looked at you for a moment, seemingly concerned for your well-being*. "Do you know which student gave them to you?" *he asked, his tone shifting toward anger instead of curiosity*.
I sighed because this was the reason why I didn't want to tell him, he was going to get all overprotective and fatherly even if he had the right to be concerned.
"Dad focus please" I grab his arm so we walk together to Snape's office for the antidote "We can talk about the person later but Harry is being all clingy and talking about this Slytherin guy, I left him with Ginny but it's weird because he is trying to break up with her since he found his *true love*" I don't even know that is possible.
"Fine, but we'll talk about this after I get the antidote, and whoever is responsible for this will be punished," *he said, walking slightly faster toward Snape's office. He looked concerned, almost angry, and his face showed every emotion possible. He felt like yelling at whoever was responsible for giving candies laced with Love Potion to his daughter and making her fall in love with them, but he held back. He needed to make sure she was okay before doing anything rash. It was his duty as a father after all*.
"Good luck" I didn't even get near Snape's office for two things, he was scary and he didn't like me because I was Remus's daughter so I let my dad handle it and talk "I waited here" I smiled sweetly.
"Alright," *Remus said, and he went to Snape's office on his own. He knocked on his office door and stepped into the room. Snape was sitting at his desk, examining a potion that he brewed today. He looked up and frowned, clearly irritated to see Remus there*.
I just stayed there very calmly and saw my dad return with a small bottle in his hands and I was glad he found something.
"Thanks, I was done with Harry being all in love" I couldn't stand him anymore. I was going to grab it and just leave but he kept it with him so I guess we are going together to the Gryffindor common room.
"No problem, sweetheart" *Remus said, returning to you with a small bottle of green liquid in his hand. He smiled at you and tucked the small bottle away in his pocket before turning around and walking with you back to the Gryffindor common room. As you approached the common room doors, he spoke up again*. "I don't understand why you would have accepted some random chocolates from someone. Did that talk when you were a kid about not accepting sweets from strangers didn't work?"
"Oh, Daddy..." I chuckle because that was years ago and it wasn't the same thing "It wasn't like that, the box was in a classroom in my seat and it had my name and I didn't eat anything" I explain because I wasn't planning on keeping them.
"Still, you should be more careful. You never know what people's intentions are," *Remus said, sounding a little bit too fatherly in his tone. This time, he slowed down and looked at you warmly*. "By the way, who left you the chocolate box?"
"If I am honest I'm not sure, some guy named Matthew but I know he is from Slytherin" I didn't have any idea who it was. We enter together to the common room Harry is just talking to his girlfriend Ginny about this guy and she is just enjoying that, she will not forget about it and use it against his will.
The moment he saw us, he got up quickly "Uncle Moony!" he said excitedly to my dad "Have I ever told you about Matthew?" he touched his heart "Oh Matthew...."
"Told you..." I whisper to my father.
*Remus rolled his eyes with a chuckle at Harry's behavior. He could only imagine the amount of love poetry Harry wrote for Matthew after ingesting the Love Potion-laced chocolate. He also couldn't help but notice how much Ginny was enjoying this, and he knew there was no way she was letting Harry forget this anytime soon.*
"No, you have not," *Remus replied jokingly, pretending he didn't already know everything about who Matthew was. He wanted to see how much Harry would babble about his love for Matthew.*
"He is so perfect and handsome and..." he was going to list the 100 characteristics so I decided to stop him.
"Dad please just give him the antidote, I heard this story for the past 15 minutes" I don't even know if Harry knows him.
"Alright, alright, I get it. Matthew is the sweetest guy you have ever met," *Remus said, chuckling slightly before turning to look at Harry*. "I have the antidote here. Let's get you out of your 'I'm in love with a Slytherin' mindset." *He took out the small bottle that he had grabbed from Snape's office moments ago.*
"Here, drink it. It should take effect immediately."
While he drinks it he just sits next to his girlfriend in silence and all confused looking at us "What's going on?" he asked confused.
"I will tell you, come on," Ginny said trying not to laugh but she was going to enjoy it.
I giggle too but see my dad picking up the box with the other chocolates "I know what Matthew did is wrong but don't risk your work and kill him" I beg him knowing him very well.
"Of course, I won't kill him," *Remus reassured you, smiling a little before picking up the box of chocolates from the couch*. "I'm going to make sure he gets punished for what he did. No one tries to drug my daughter and gets away with it." *He narrowed his eyes at the box of chocolates, his anger rising again. He didn't even want to touch it anymore, but his desire for revenge overcame his discomfort.*
I nod half smiling trusting he is not going to turn into his werewolf self and murder him "Thanks Dad" I hug him "and sorry for not telling you sooner, I was more focused on Harry"
"It's okay, sweetheart. I'm just glad you're okay. But next time, if something similar happens, you should come to me." *Remus gently returned the hug, relieved that the situation wasn't as bad as it could have been. Once the Chocolate Love Potion was out of Harry's system, he would be back to his usual self. The Love Potion made him say and do things he usually wouldn't do, but now that he was back to his normal self, everything should be fine.*
