MARION
I have been staying in Andrew's house untill now, since i am working to help. My stomach is much bigger now like i have shallow a big watermelon.
3 months to go before i gave birth.
Andrew told me that Devin was looking for me. He then told me that Devin was starting to become suspicious in Andrew.
I was cleaning the dishes when i heard a knock on the door. I was left here alone in the house because Andrew went to work while Rosette went to market to fetch somethings
I open the door without looking who's on the door
"What can i help you-" stop on my tracks, to see the man i was expecting to be.
He's hair become longer and he grew a mustache and beard. He look in a mess and he look like he hasn't been sleeping well since the day i left.
Devin
"Devin?" I said surprise
"Marion" he said low and husky
I felt a guilt inside of me. Did i make him to be like this?
I should have hate him, despite him, make him beg but no, my heart ache when i saw him. I can't bare this, i should have yell at him, tell him he should go and i don't want to see he's face. But I can't. I know I can't. For staying in this time for over 1 year now change me so well, make me more mature i guess
I let him go inside the house and take a seat in the the living room, while i prepare a hot tea and some snacks.
I bring him the food and the tea.
"Marion-" he said
"Let's not talk about that for now Devin, what happened to you?" I said while i sat on the couch
"Marion" i wasn't expecting to see him like this, he was crying infront of me, like a child.
"Devin please" i said
"I love you, but i am afraid that i might lose you as well" he said weakly
I stare at him.
He actually love me, but....
" Then let me ask you" i said trying to be brave
"Do you still Love her?" I ask him
He look at me, trying to read me
"No.... I don't..."he said to me as if i was just hallucinating
"Then why?" I said
"I think that if i did that you will leave me, which you did, i think that will keep you safe, but it didn't. I wasn't expecting you will conceive our child. I wasn't a great father.... I very much understand is you won't comeback with me. I know you hate me, but if you stay here with him that doesn't make any much more safe"he said
I take a cup of tea snd drink it like i have all time in the world. I know that Andrew is my great greatgrandfather and Devin too. But i love him.
We have a child
"You talk a lot Devin....I hope that you fix yourself more before you go in here, the baby doesn't like to see he's father on the state like this you know" i said
He look at me shock.
I have been waiting for him, yes... I do... I already love him since then, yet i try to avoid this feelings since i know that he's my ancestor. But it doesn't matter anymore, I don't care anymore.
"Your coming home with me?" He ask
I nod
He's face turn bright but i stop him
"But i have to stay here a few more days since i have to tell Andrew that i will be going back home, i hope you understand Devin" i said, and he smiled
" I very much to understand, i will say thank you to him for taking good care of my wife and child." He said, making me blush
