Rain pours like tears
Lightning flashes with light
Thunder fills us with fear
All fills us with fright
Most are afraid
Of the wind and rain
I, however
Think it's the best weather
The wind and rain calm me down
And distract me from the sounds
The light, I say
Lights the way
The thunder is loud
But quiet all the same
And I am proud
To play this game
This game of thunderstorms
Takes away the focus
Of pain and war
And replaces it with wonderment
Thank you, thunderstorms
For being my friend
