''Peter! What's bringing you here?'' Tony asked, catching his mentoree entering the Compound.
Peter had planned to do quick run to your room and not get seen, but Tony had happened to be in the lobby with Rhodes when he got in.
''Homework, Mr. Stark. Y/N and I are in the same History class and we have a homework to do together.''
Tony glanced at the backpack on Peter's shoulder and hummed. ''Seems believable to me. Remember, I have ears and eyes everywhere in this building.''
You and Peter sat on your floor, knowing no homework would get done on your bed. You tried that method at Peter's last week and ended up rushing and copying Ned's homework in the morning.
Half an hour into your homework, you found yourself staring at Peter instead of reading about Anne Frank. Sorry Anne, but looking at Peter biting the end of his pen and concentrating on his homework was more interesting.
When he sensed your eyes on him and lifted his head, you looked away.
''What?''
''What?'' you repeated innocently, looking back at him.
''You're staring.''
''No, I wasn't.''
''Yeah, you were.''
You threw your pen at him. ''Do your homework.''
Peter chuckled. ''Hey! Don't throw your pen at me.''
''Let's take a break. Studies say you should be taking a break every 75 and 90 minutes. Due to natural variations in our cycle of alertness, we can concentrate for no longer than 90 minutes before needing a 15-minute break.''
''We've only been doing homework for half an hour-''
You crawled over to Peter and put a finger over his lips, shushing him. ''I say we take a break now.''
Peter's eyes flickered to your finger on his lips, and then up to your eyes.
Mischief painting your features, you swung a leg over him while holding the eye contact. Your hands lifted to his shoulders as you leaned down to press your lips against his softly. You pushed at them, giving Peter the motion starter and he lowered you both down to the carpet.
Somehow, you always ended in the same situation: making out instead of working. Maybe you and Peter should stop doing homework or studying together?
With a small grunt, Peter rolled you over, making you giggle and wrap your arms around his neck.
''If anyone comes in here, we're dead,'' you whispered against his lips.
Peter's lips twisted up at the corner and with a single move of his arm, he used his web-shooters to 'lock' the door. ''They won't come in,'' he said, and kissed you again.
