Lizzy got a call that morning from hannah. "Hey Hans," she said, answering the phone. "Hey..." Hanna said.
"What's wrong?" asked lizzy. "Well the police showed up at my door this morning." said hannah "about Sean's car?" asked lizzy. "Yep my mom was pissed." Hanna said. "Anyway, are you gonna meet us at the bench in a bit?" asked hanna. "Yeah, do you know why we're meeting there?" asked lizzy. "Nope." said hannah.
Lizzy said bye and hung up the phone she put on her low rise jeans and black cropped top and headed downstairs.
"Mom, I'm going to hang out with the girls." lizzy yelled out
Her mom groaned from the couch.
Lizzy saw the girls all by the bench. "Hey guys," said lizzy.
They all said hi back.
"So the towns gonna put in a new bench. We'll plant the flowers and there'll be a path of art tiles." explained aria. "Art tiles?" asked Spencer and Lizzy at the same time. "Messages, pictures, memories of allison." explained emily. Lizzy nodded confused. "Aww like little headstones" said hannah. Lizzy snorted. "Hanna!!" said aria.
"We should each do a tile," said emily. Lizzy nodded, agreeing with emily.
"I've had Alison's bracelet since the day we had it in the woods. I don't want the responsibility anymore" said hanna.
Hanna gestured the bracelet towards the girls. "I don't want it!" said aria. "Neither do i" said lizzy. "Seriously, someone take this," said hanna. Spencer took the bracelet. "Look at us, we're a bunch of babies," said spencer. They all looked at each other nervously. "There's nothing A can say or do to get us in trouble without making trouble for herself," said spencer. ''You sure it's a her?" asked hanna. "Him, her, it doesn't make any difference." said lizzy.
Spencer pulled out her laptop and started doing something. "What are you doing?" asked emily.
"I'm gonna block all messages from people i don't know, ims, texts, emails everything, screw A" said spencer. Lizzy laughed. "Who's next?" asked Spencer "me!" said lizzy. While Lizzy was doing hers on Spencer's laptop Mr. Fitz rode by on his bicycle. "I spy with my little eyes something that begins with f" said Spencer lizzy looked up to see mr fitz ride by. "Hey mr fitz." said Hanna.
"Looking good Mr. Fitz" called out spencer. Lizzy laughed at her friends. Aria came over and took the laptop from lizzy. "My turn," said aria. "There are teachers you don't wanna see on a bike and there are teachers that you do wanna see on a bike," said spencer. "Yeah I would not wanna see mr. Galarde on a bike" said lizzy. Hanna agreed. "I don't wanna think of Mr Galarde in motion of any kind" said emily. They all laughed. "Ugh, Mr. Fitz," said hanna. "Hanna!! Your turn!" said Aria, handing Hanna the laptop.
Well, Hanna worked on blocking A. The girls talked about Ben and emily. "Did you talk to ben?" asked spencer. "Nothing to talk about," said emily. "So you too are really done?" asked aria "its okay im fine" said emily. "Okay if you say so" said lizzy. "I wish we had a drum roll for this, alright here it goes, we are officially A proofed" said hanna.
"Listen to all those little messages slipping through the air all around us," said spencer. "Yep and none of them from A" said aria. "This feels like a good thing" said emily
"Yeah it does," said lizzy. "Of course it's a good thing, out of mind out of sight," said hanna. Alis missing poster blew towards them. Aria picked it up and in red ink it said "ding dong the bitch is dead" right over Ali's face. The girls looked all around them to see if they could see who did it. No one was around.
The girls were talking in the cafeteria when Emily came up. "Hot scarf em" said Spencer "thanks" Emily said. "Is it new?" asked lizzy. "No," said emily. Hanna's phone rang. They all stared at her. "Go ahead answer it, we know who it can't be from" said aria "hanna?" said emily. "It's my dad!" said Hanna excitedly. "Hey dad" Hanna said, walking away to talk to him. "Has she even talked to her dad since he walked out on them?" asked emily. Lizzy shrugged. "I don't know," said spencer. They all watched Hanna as she talked "we shouldn't stare, come on" Aria said. they all walked away talking. Emily bumped into Toby on their way out. "Sorry" said Toby, looking at all of them. "I wonder if we just bumped into A" said aria. "Doesn't matter were done with A remember" said spencer "besides toby wouldn't do that to us" said lizzy. By us she meant her, her and Toby knew each other, not well but he was always nice to her. "Are you forgetting what we did to jenna?" said aria. "No, i just don't know, forget about it, we're done with a like you said spence." said Lizzy walking away.
Lizzy saw Aria coming out of Mr. Fitz's classroom. "Hey! What were you doing in Mr. Fitz's room?" asked lizzy. "Nothing, just asking a homework question," said aria. "Oh okay, look there's Spencer, Hanna and Emily," Lizzy said, running over, putting her arm in Hanna's. Aria followed her over. They all headed to class together. "He has to be in New England for a couple of weeks but he's making a special trip out to see me," said hanna. Lizzy smiled at her, she knew how important this was to hanna. "That's great Hannah," said aria. The other girls were giving her a weird look. "What?!" said Hanna, "It's just, do you think he's out here because of the thing with Sean's car?" asked emily. "No!! He's not, look i asked absolutely not, and besides what if he was at least he's still coming out to see me." said hanna
"spencer!" a teacher called out. "Mr sheldrake?" said spencer. "I was gonna tell you in class but here you are, a remarkable job on the russian history essay" he said. "Oh thanks'' said Spencer weirdly. "I submitted it to the golden orchid." he said "you what?" asked spencer. 'What's a golden orchid?'' asked hanna. "It's a national competition for historical writing," said spencer.
Lizzy went to her locker to get her textbook for her next class when her phone rang. She jumped forgetting for a second she blocked A. It was Jason, she has been ignoring him for a week now. She picked up. "Hello" said Lizzy, answering her phone. "Liz?! Is that you?" said jason. "Yup, what do you want?" said Lizzy coldly. "I've been calling for like a week," said jason. "Yeah I know i've been ignoring you for a week," said lizzy. "Why?" asked jason. "It doesn't matter, what do you want jason?" asked lizzy
"I want to know why you're ignoring me, did I do something?" asked jason. "Are you being serious, Jason, I have class," said Lizzy, annoyed. "Okay, will you call me later," said jason. "Cant i'll be with my boyfriend" lizzy said lying. "Oh you have a boyfriend, okay well i'll see ya" said jason hanging up. Lizzy sighed, wiping the tear that rolled down her cheek. She thought to herself why the hell did i just lie to him she doesn't have a boyfriend. She walked to class.
After school Lizzy went straight to Spencer's. "Hey!" said Lizzy, going into Spencer's room and sitting down. Spencer and Hanna said hi back.
"I wish I had a sister smart enough to steal papers from," said hanna. "Who stole a paper from who?" said lizzy. "Spencer, she stole that essay for her Russian history class from Malissa, the one submitted to that competition, you know the golden daisy," said hanna. Lizzy looked confused. "Orchid, it's a golden orchid," said spencer. "Huh, I could have sworn it was a golden daisy," said hanna. "If I ask Mr Shelldrake to withdraw the essay he'll know somethings wrong," said spencer. "Spencer, What makes you so sure you're gonna win the competition?" asked hanna. Spencer looked at Hanna with knowing eyes. "Oh right, I forgot it's in your dna" said hanna. Lizzy laughed. "Here" said Spencer, handing Hanna a blazer. "This outfit has to be perfect. My dad hasn't seen me since I lost weight" said hanna. Lizzy gave Hannah a sad smile. "That jacket is really not you," said spencer. "Then it's perfect," said hanna. Lizzy stood up and stood behind hanna. "I think you look great," said lizzy. "Thanks," said Hanna, smiling at her. "You guys have you.... Peeked?" asked hanna. "We blocked whoever it was and that's it" said spencer.
Hanna went home to get ready for her dad. Lizzy went home to sleep that weird day off.

"It was great, incredible really," said hanna. "Where did your dad take you?" said Emily, "Jolly rogers!" said hanna. They all giggled. "The lame amusement park" said aria "ok! It is not lame we didn't go on a tilt a world we walked around and talked, and i told him about what's going on" said hanna. They all looked at eachother. "Some of what is going on, he listened, you know he wants to take me to a real dinner tonight, he says he has something to tell me" said hanna. "That sounds great," said Lizzy, smiling. The bell rang and Mr. Fitz came in.
After school lizzy went to spend the night at spencers, anything to get away from her own house.
She sat on the chair in the corner of Spencer's room doing her homework. "Spence, could you help me with this? I literally have no idea what I'm doing.... Spence?" said lizzy. Spencer sat across from her on her bed staring at Alison's bracelet. Lizzy got up and sat next to her. "Spencer? What's wrong?" Just as Spencer was about to answer her they both heard a loud noise downstairs. Spencer got up walking down the stairs. "Yes we should totally walk towards the terrifying noise," said lizzy sarcastically. "Shhhh" said spencer. When they got downstairs Spencer grabbed a knife from her kitchen.
They both saw it at the same time someone was opening Spencer's front door. "Oh my god we're gonna die" said lizzy literally freaking out. Spencer gave her a look while walking towards the door.
"Hello?" asked spencer. "Where the hell are you?" said someone. It was wren he had a big thing of roses and was totally wasted.
"I picked this for you," he said to spencer.
"You know what, I'm gonna go upstairs," said Lizzy walking away.
Spencer must have left Lizzy had no idea though she fell asleep.
She woke up though when she heard Hanna and Spencer down stairs she went down to see what was going on.
"Hey hanna what's going on?" said lizzy. "Oh you know just A calling a radio station and dedicating a song to me" yelled hannah. "What?" She looked at spencer. Spencer was focused on something else. "What is it?" said hannah
"Look!" said spencer. they all looked at the table, the broken flower pot was made up into a thing on the table. "Someones been in the house..." said Spencer terrified.
"Uhm i was asleep in the house when this person broke in i could have been killed." said lizzy.
"Wait, Alison's bracelet!" said Spencer running up the stairs, the girls following her.
It was still there in Spencer's drawer.
They turned around all gasping at what they saw.
They sent an s.o.s to Emily and aria.
When they got there they showed them the mirror. There were words written in red lipstick saying "i won't be that easy bitches -A" the girls stared at it terrified.
