Lelouch pov:

As I made my way to the class I was assigned to, I pondered many questions about this school and how it would work. After being lost in thought, I was snapped back to reality, as I was just a few steps away from the entrance to the classroom I was expected to be in.

Taking a deep and relaxing breath, I made my way in and looked for my designated seat. After sitting down and looking around my new surroundings, I realised I had pretty much been given the seat in the middle of the classroom.

After a little bit of questioning if this was a good thing or not, somewhat of an angry voice hissed in my direction as I was awakened from my trance.

"What are you looking at?" the purple-haired girl said in an annoyed tone as she was shooting me a pissed-off glance.

When I dozed off, I must have accidentally been staring at her.

"I'm sorry, I dozed off. I didn't mean to stare at you," I said, trying to not give the wrong impression and not wanting to make a bad first impression.

"Well, it was getting a little creepy."
She said this before her annoyed expression turned into a mocking grin. "Maybe the only reason you were looking in my direction was because you've already formed a crush on me after only just seeing me," she said as the mocking grin grew a little bit bigger.

Thinking about it, I've never had a crush on a girl before and started to question if I should try and peruse one for this school year or not.
However, as I was pondering this question, I realised that I hadn't responded to the girl for about a good five seconds, so I quickly formulated a response.

"Maybe I do, maybe I don't," I said in a calm voice.
"My name is Lamperouge Lelouch, and what's your name?" I asked, trying to move on from her mocking.

"Himeno Yuki," the purple girl's hair said as her facial expression changed from a grin to a little
Smile.

However, before any more words could be exchanged between us, the bell rang as the door to the front of the classroom opened as someone older-looking walked into the classroom.

"Ahem," the whole class went quite immediately at the teacher's introduction, with every hint of a noice vanishing as the whole classroom went completely silent.

"Good morning, students of class B. I'm your instructor and will be your homeroom teacher for the next 3 years of your journey at this school.
My name is Chie Hoshinomiya, and as your instructor, I hope to get to know all of you.
Anyway, the gymnasium will be holding the entrance ceremony, which will start in just about an hour.
But first, I will distribute the necessary written materials with information about the school's special rules. I will also be handing out more very important resources, so make sure to listen up."

She explained as she spoke about some very important things, and then she gave us all our very own student ID cards and then told us what they would be useful for. She then explained that we would all receive 100,000 private points a month, which would be equal to 100,000 yen a month.

As soon as everyone heard this news, most of the class erupted as they were excited for the money they would be receiving.

Though I couldn't help but feel something was off, the school may be supported by the Japanese government, but 100,000 yen per month seems a bit excessive.

After a little discussion with one another between the students, The teacher watched the class and was analysing people's reactions to the information she just displayed. I looked at her to see if she was trying to gain anything from the students reactions.

"Does anyone have any questions?" the teacher asked.

"Sensei" raised my hand so she could tell where the voice was from.
"May I ask you a question or two?" I asked

She looked at me with a smirk implanted on her face as she responded.

"If I'm not mistaken, your Lelouch Lamperouge, well, anyway, feel free to ask any question you would like, and I will answer as long as I'm permitted to." The teacher said this with a smirk still implanted in her face.

"If you don't mind doing so, could you explain in full detail how the private points work?" I asked in a serious yet calm manner to get my point across.

Everyone began to look at me, intrigued by my question, and then looked at the teacher, waiting for her to give a reply to my question.

"Sorry, but I cannot answer your question."
She said, while still having that annoying smirk plastered on her face.

"Is that so, then let me ask you something else; you said earlier that anything can be bought with private points, correct?" I looked deep into her eyes to see if she would try to lie to me.

"Yes," the teacher replied with deep confusion, and she narrowed her eyes back at me, waiting for what came next.

"Then could I buy the explanation from you?" A small smirk appeared on my face to see just how deeply rooted private points actually matter.

I scanned the room and noticed students around me were looking complexed and also puzzled by my request.

However, Ive been formulating a rebuttal ever since she mentioned the points and how things could be bought. If anything could be bought, does that mean absolutely everything, or is there a limit? If there is a limit, how high is said limit? Plus, if there is no limit, I can make an estimate of how much each thing may cost from this one interaction.

"Amazing from you, Lelouch, to have already figured that much out," her once smirk warped into a smile.
"And to answer your question, yes, however, it's going to cost you a lot of points to get an answer from me," she said as her smirk started to appear again.

"How much will it cost?" I questioned with my eyes still narrowed at her.

"50,000 private points; however, that's only to tell you and you only. This would mean any information I tell you cannot be shared with any other individual, or there will be consequences if we find out."

50,000? This school doesn't mess about when it comes to its system. That means half my points would go on this one simple explanation. This could mean many things: are private points super hard to come by and everything is just overpriced, or is it the contrast? If they cost half my points, maybe private points are easy to come by. For her last bit, 'If we found out,' I pondered for some moments. I was tempted to pressure something out of her, but I already had a safe guess as to what this could mean.

"So what will it be, Lelouch? Will you pay me the 50,000 yen for the answers you seek?" She said she was grinning from ear to ear.

"No," I responded, knowing I know too little to make an investment this big.

"Why not?" she said, clearly surprised by my answer.

"Simply because I believe it's something I can figure out for myself with or without help from the school, as for right now, I can guarantee you that no one else would do that deal. Though let's say they did, that means they are gaining information, sure, but they are losing half their private points, which would ultimately put them at a disadvantage as of right now."

However, as the teacher was about to respond, a blond, blue-eyed girl gave her unwarranted opinion on our discussion and proceeded to ask the teacher, in her honest opinion, is it actually worth the 50,000 private points?

Instead of replying to the question at hand, the teacher straight up avoided the question and looked at the clock on her watch before speaking up.

"So many questions, yet so little time. As for now, it's my time to leave, so this would be a good opportunity to get to know one another, wouldn't you agree?
Also, make sure you are at the gymnasium before it starts, or you will be punished," the teacher chuckled the last bit before she began to leave the classroom.

After a moment, people left their seats and started talking and greeting each other. Looking around, it seemed as though some people had already known each other and some were meeting for the first time.

As my eyes were trailing around the room, I noticed the blond girl from before who had asked the question to the teacher. It already looked like she was the most popular girl in this class, as everyone was surrounding her. Using my basic deductive skills, I could already deduce she would most likely be voted as the leader of this class, though unlike her, I was getting some interesting glares at me. I felt with my whole thing with the teacher, some people don't know how to approach me. I let out a troubled sigh as I looked back at the girl. As I did, it seemed as if she was looking in my direction, and before I knew it, I had locked eyes with the blond girl.

After a few seconds from when we locked eye contact, she began heading my way, and from what I could hear, she told the people she was talking to that she would be back in a moment.

As she made her way over to me, she offered out her hand for a handshake.

"Hi, my name is Ichinose Honami, and it's a pleasure to meet you," she said with a heartfelt tone to her words.

After getting a good look at her from up close, I could understand why many people went instantly towards her, as she seems charismatic but also majestic in a way. You could tell from the way she postured herself and her looks that she would be a favourite amongst the class, especially the boys.

After a little analysis, I responded
"It's also a pleasure to meet you, and well, you already know my name."
I said, letting out a friendly little laugh.

"Mhm, it's lelouch Lamperouge; urm, can I call you lelouch?" She said

Thinking about it, I never really understood the tradition in Japan where it's more respectful to say the last name of a person. Growing up, I was always called my first name, so it never bothered me when someone called me Lelouch.

"Yeah, I'm fine with it, so anyway, what's up?" I said, looking back at her.

"I wanted to ask you a question, and will you please hear me out?"

A question, huh? Could she be already asking me out? No, I doubt it.
I've come up with many guesses but have only made a few safe guesses on what it could be.

"Urm, sure, what is it?" I said calmly.

"Well, if I become class leader, would you like to be my vice leader?" She said it in a nervous but cute way.

"Huh, so you want me to be vice leader?" I said.
expecting something like this but wanting to give off the appearance as if I was surprised by her request.

"Well, you see, ever since I got accepted into the school, I've wanted to become the leader of my class. I'm confident that I can become the leader of class-B and be a good one, but I understand that I'm not perfect and, at times, too nice. Watching your little dispute with the teacher, I could instantly tell that you were incredibly smart and articulate with your words, and that you would be willing to act appropriately in situations I may not."

After listening to her, I understood what she needed. It seemed as if she wanted me to fill the holes in what she wasn't good at. I couldn't help but let out a little annoyed inner sigh though by what she did. This girl was definitely smart; she had me cornered in a way. If I were to reject her now, I'm sure the people who can hear us would spread it around, and I'm surely going to be an outcast. This also helps her stop me from even challenging to become the leader; if I did reject, the whole class would basically turn against me. Yet if I do accept this, it stops me from competing against her, though I wasn't interested in being a leader straight away anyway, and this could suit me a lot more.

As I looked at her, I couldn't help but feel she could be a problem and possibly the downfall of class B.

There's also something about her that's holding her back. If I want to win at this school, I need to take complete charge; however, this will be an easy way for me to get under the leader and make allies along the way without being seen as a main threat.

"After careful consideration, I will accept your offer and be your vice leader, as I think it will be for the best for this class and me," I said, looking into her pretty blue eyes as I used a smile to show her that I'm trustworthy.

After a few seconds of processing it,a massive smile appeared on her face as she leaned in, gave me a hug, and said thank you.

After moving away from the hug, she smiled.

"Well, anyway, let's discuss this later," she said as she walked away, giving me a wave-bye.

When she turned away, a sudden hint of bloodlust surrounded my vicinity, as it seemed every boy in class was staring at me as if they wanted me dead.
However, after a few moments, it died down as a few girls and boys started to surround my table.

Lights pov:

Arriving in class, I noticed that I was one of the first students here. Glancing around, I slowly approached and found my seat, which was placed at the back of the classroom next to the window.

"my ideal spot."
I said to myself, taking a seat.

Sitting down, I started to think about how the school actually functioned. No to boost my own ego, but I should have been placed in the highest class possible. Yet somehow I've been placed in class C, the second-to-worst.

How though I thought, I may not be the strongest physically, however, I'm naturally well built, and from what I've observed so far, I at least have to be one of the most athletic kids in this school. Not to mention that I ranked #1 in the nation-wide mock exams and scored perfect on the exams; somethings not adding up. I should have at least been placed in class-B.

However, before I could think anymore, the person next to me sat in their seat. Turning to them, I noticed it was a girl with light purplish eyes and hair that was silver with black ribbons in between them. Objectively speaking, she was the definition of someone who many would see as adorable or cute.

"Hi neighbour, my name is Light Yagami, and what's yours?" I said, smiling at the girl, trying to be polite and introduce myself.

"Light Yagami," the girl sat there, thinking about the name as if she had heard it before.

After a few brief moments, she shook her head before she started to speak.

"My name is Shiina Hiyori, and I like to read," she said, looking at her desk as she pulled out a book from her bag.

"You like to read? Huh, same here," I said, trying to carry on our conversation.

As soon as the words escaped my mouth, Hiyori's face looked up, as she was looking at me with a light tint in her eyes and a bright smile appeared on her delicate face.

"You do? If you don't mind, we should check the library out later together if you want to," she said, trying to hide her excitement about finding someone who likes books like her.

"Sure, why not? I guess you can be my first official friend in this school," I said in a joking but serious way as I scanned the room, noticing more students were beginning to enter.

As we were speaking about books, the bell went, and on queue, the teacher of class C had entered the classroom.

"Hi class, my name is Sakagami Kazuma, and I will be your instructor for the next 3 years."

The teacher started to explain the rules of our school year and what not to do. Then he gave us all our own personal ID cards. However, straight after, he stated that every student in this school year would be given up to 100,000 private points and would be given points each month.

Looking around, everyone was shocked by how much they were given; however, it's not that surprising due to it being funded by Japan itself. Even so, it did feel odd that we could get given 100,000 yen each and would be receiving so many points every month.

"Does any student have any questions?" The teacher asked

"I do," said the boy with magenta-looking hair.

"Then what is it?"

"What happens if there is a fight? What would happen to the people involved?" said the boy whose face I couldn't identify.

"If reported, it could end up being an expulsion, depending on the situation and the scenario."

If it's reported, huh? The way he formatted his answer ran through my mind.
Well, either way, there's one question I needed to know.

"I would like to ask a question," I asked.

"What is it, boy?" The teacher responded.

"Do we get given exactly 100,000 private points per month? I questioned.

"I cannot answer that question," the teacher said.

"Why not?" I questioned him again, noticing my reasoning was correct as I studied his face, trying to see what information I could gather.

"Because I am not permitted to tell you as of now," he answered back.

"Hmm, I see. We'll everyone listen up," I said to the classroom as I stood up, making my presence known to everyone present.

"I've come to the conclusion that we won't be given 100,000 private points per month unless we meet certain conditions and requirements." I said

"And why do you believe that?" a girl with short blue hair responded to me.

"This reasoning is based on what I've assessed so far. When I've walked into the classroom and sat down, I noticed there to be cameras scattered around the room so cover every spot insuring there was no blind spots. I've already spotted six different cameras in this room and I believe there's still more I haven't discovered, meaning that we're most likely being accessed, not only as a class but also individually. Also, provided the school is being sourced by the government, it's easy to be deceived by such a lie. Neither the less, I doubt such a prestigious school would make it that simple to get 100,000 private points a month. As we know, 100.000 private points are equivalent to 100,000 yen, meaning that between us, we would all be given 4 million yen a month. This sounds very unrealistic, even when funded by the government."
I said calmly, adding a dominant tone to my voice to emphasise my reasoning and giving room for anyone to challenge my reasoning.

Everyone around me looked at me with admiration in their eyes, and some were still confused. Looking at the teacher, I could see a small grin on his face, which only helped confirm that my reasoning was right, or at least some of it.

"You're a clever one, ain't you, Mr. Yagami?
Well, either way, that's enough questioning for now," he said before leaving the classroom.

Sitting back down, I noticed most of the class looking at me, and some were even about to approach me before we heard a dominant voice echo through the entire room.

"I, Ryūen Kakeru, from now on, am the new leader of class C."

In his voice, he wasn't messing around. I was tempted to speak up, but just before I could say anything, a voice to my far right said something.

"Who said you could be a leader" a boy asked, making his way to Ryuen.

"Huh, what did you say?" Ryuen said with a smirk.

Reaching him, the boy said

"Who put you in cha-?"

Before he could say anymore, the boy was on the ground with Ryuen on top of him.
I looked at the scene in front of me; he had hit him over something as little as challenging him. I scanned the room, and I noticed most people were shocked with fear.

"Say that again," Ryuen said as he was on top of the boy, beating him so badly that blood was becoming visible.

However, this time the boy remained silent.

Scanning around the room, I noticed that everyone was glued to their seats. I realised that the cameras, from what I could visualise, would have Ryuen in shot, yet surprisingly, nothing was happening. I would have expected security or an alert, but nothing. I pondered over this heavily; this would change a lot. As I looked back at the beating, before Ryuen could hit him anymore, a tall black man grabbed his fist.

"Oh, so do you want to fight as well?" Ryuen said, challenging the man to a fight.

Clearly, not intimidated by this giant.
Ryuen stood up and began swinging for the tall boy's head; however, he easily dodged all the attacks.

"Say, what's your name?" Ryuen asked while smirking.

"Yamada Albert," he said calmly.

After he said his name, Ryuen started laughing and tried to side-kick Albert. However, he easily caught it, but as he did, Ryuen smiled and tried to hit with a right hook, which landed cleanly. Unfortunately for Ryuen, it seemed as if Albert was unfazed.

After the hook landed, Albert decided to hit Ryuen back; normally, it would knock out an average person. Even so, Ryuen fell to the floor and then got back up.

The whole class seemed to be secretly cheering for Albert, but they were too scared to get involved or even make noise.

After 3 minutes of watching this, I had to get involved, as it seemed like the perfect time to do so. This would help boost my reputation at the school and within this class especially. I decided I had to do something now, and as for the fight, I've been evaluating and analysing both opponents. I've come to the conclusion that both students would be useful, as Albert is incredibly strong and well built, and it seems that Ryuen has sharp instincts and has amazing determination.

"Excuse me," I said calmly.
"It's only the first day, and it wouldn't be smart to fight each other."

Both stopped what they were doing and looked at me.

"Fufu, if it isn't the smart pretty boy," Ryuen said, bursting out laughing.

I started to lean my arm out as a way to show a truce.

"How about we all just get along, and instead of fighting amongst us, let's all just work together?"

Looking around the visible students, I could see who was glued to their seats and started to agree with me. However, I quickly realised Ryuen was having none of this.

"I'll stop fighting people in this class when I'm the absolute leader of this class, and if I have to beat the shit out of that monster over there, then so be it." He said he was looking at Albert.

"Hmm, you want to be a leader? How about instead of fighting, we agree that we can be split leaders? Me and you, Ryuen, what do you say?" I said cheerfully as I felt a stain of disgust looking at him, knowing I shouldn't anger him.

"Fufu, team with you, Mrs. Pretty Boy? Why would I do that?" He laughed to himself.

Looking into his eyes, I said, "Think about it. With my intellect and your strength and heart, we could be an unstoppable force." I said, leaning my hand closer to him for him to shake it.

Looking at my hand, he started making his way over to me.

"Hmmm, you're suggesting that you're smarter than me, are you now?" He said this as he seemed to be insulted by my remake.

"I'm not suggesting; I'm telling you that I am smarter; I was number 1 in the Japan mock exams after all. Not to mention, I was able to identify that there were at least six cameras in this room, something I'm confident you couldn't even spot." I said, smirkingly proud of my achievements.

"Hmmm, I see. Well, then it seems I have to accept your offer." Ryuen said, letting out a similar smirk.

Leaning into my hand, it seemed as if everything was working out as I expected it to. However, I felt off as his hand suddenly changed direction to try and hit me in the face; however, I was just able to dodge by a little bit.

"Fufu, you're a fast one. I like you. As for your offer, I'll consider making you my underling," he laughed waking out of the classroom, disregarding my actual offer.

Looking around, it seemed as if everyone was relieved that it was finally over. Looking at the watch, it seemed like the right time to go to the gymnasium for the introduction to the school.

The end of this chapter.
I just want to say that for anyone who didn't read the description fully, I've slightly altered certain characters personalities to make the story go at a faster pace.
Also, some of the scenes have been changed to make the characters fit in better.

The following chapter will primarily focus on Class A,B,C.
As I won't be doing the first bit of class D, mainly because nothing will change.

If there's anything you think I should add, let me know. Anyway the classes will be divided up as follows:

Class A-L
Class B-Lelouch
Class C-Light
Class D-Ayanokoji
