"ahmad , come on we're gonna be late." i say grabbing ahmad's keys and shaking them to let him know im ready.
he rushes down the steps, "yo, stop rushing me i told you i was coming." he said tilting his head and frowning up his face.
ahmad was my older brother and we were on the way to this 4th of july invitational event , i got invited because of my brother and he got invited because of his appearance on the show ‛the chi '.
i laugh and he pushes my head out the door, "yo don't play me , cause we can take it there." he stops for a second and sucks his teeth.
we get in the car and we're on the way to the event.
"yo zaria's going to be there , don't do too much." he says putting a emphasis on don't.
i roll my eyes , "okay and walker gon' be there so you don't do too much." i say putting a emphasis on you and popping my neck a little bit.
he sucks his teeth, "man don't nobody care about your lil white boyfriend."
"he's not my boyfriend, he's my ex." i say rolling my eyes and crossing my arms.
"oh yeah i forgot yall broke up , but you should be good right? leah gon be there." he asks.
"yeah she should be she got that little show coming up." i say talking about her show percy jackson and the olympians.
we finally arrive and get out of the car onto the red carpet , there's a bunch of photographers telling me which way to turn , what pose to do. it got draining so i finally walked in to the event and was greeted by mike.
" 𝗈𝗁 𝗆𝗒 𝗀𝗈𝖽 ， 𝗒𝗈 𝗒𝗈𝗎 𝗀𝗈𝗍 𝗌𝗈 𝖻𝗂𝗀．" 𝗆𝗂𝗄𝖾 𝗌𝖺𝗒𝗌 𝗁𝗎𝗀𝗀𝗂𝗇𝗀 𝗆𝖾． 𝗆𝗂𝗄𝖾 𝗐𝖺𝗌 𝗅𝗂𝗄𝖾 𝗆𝗒 𝗈𝗅𝖽𝖾𝗋 𝖻𝗋𝗈𝗍𝗁𝖾𝗋， 𝗄𝗇𝖾𝗐 𝗁𝗂𝗆 𝗌𝗂𝗇𝖼𝖾 𝗂 𝗐𝖺𝗌 𝖺 𝗄𝗂𝖽 𝗍𝗁𝗋𝗈𝗎𝗀𝗁 𝗆𝗒 𝖻𝗋𝗈𝗍𝗁𝖾𝗋．

"LA ? why not have it in chicago?" mike says, making a stank face at me.
"yo , nobody tryna have no party in chicago. they so ghetto out there." i say back in defense.
"no fr , nobody tryna have no party over there. they probably gon' shoot it up think we the opps." zaria says laughing.
"aint nobody shooting shit up as long as i'm around." mike says.
"boy get the fuck on." zaria says and we all start laughing at him.
it's been a little minute since we got here. i text leah to see if she's coming.

i went to go look for ariana and she was there with some ginger curly headed boy and the sturniolo triplets.
"is that yasmin??" ariana yells , putting her hand over her mouth and runs up to me to hug me.
"ariana , hi. i haven't seen you in sooo long." i say , giving her a smile.
she puts her hand on my back and brings me to her table.
"okay, so this is dylan." ariana says , he puts his hand out for me to shake it. he smiled at me and something inside of me lit up.
i don't know what it was , i'm guessing it's because i just met him so im just a little nervous. i was trying to figure out why he was here, totally forgot that he was on that movie 'you are so not invited to my bat mitzvah"
i took his hand & shook it , "so nice to meet you." i say back giving him a smile.
"so nice to meet you too." he says , his smile was contagious i had no choice but to smile.
"i'm pretty sure you already know them." she says talking about the triplets.
"your forgetting we just did a video together." i say rolling my eyes and hugging nick , then matt , then chris.
"wait really?!" she says in shock.
"wowww , you don't watch our videos." matt says holding his hand over his heart acting hurt.
"only the ones im in." she says rolling her eyes in a cocky way.
i laugh and we start to get drinks and food.
we were all talking and laughing , i was mainly getting to know dylan he seemed really nice and his outfit was hard.
that's when walker , aryan , and leah walked in.
i clear my throat and place my drink down leaving dylan there by himself to hug leah.
"hi leah , how was the red carpet." i say sarcastically happy.
"child, lets not get on that." she says side eyeing me and going to greet the others.
i go to aryan and hug him , haven't seen him in a while either.
"aryan , how are you." i say smiling , he gives me a smile back. his smile was so beautiful, it was contagious too.
"im good, how are you." he says , i smile "im great." i reply back to him.
"that's great." he says and i let him greet the others.
i hear walker clear his throat so i go over to him and hug him, it's been a while since we've hugged.
we decided to still be friends even after everything that happened between us.
"hey , can we talk." he asks , i nod my head and he leads me to the back where there was hardly anyone.
"look, i know we said we would be friends. but i can't handle being friends. you have to understand it was 2 years. we were together for 2 years. i just can't get over that." he says sounding sincere.
"walker, i get it. i do. but the chances of us getting back together are slim. i'm not gonna allow myself to get hurt again." i say tearing up a little
this is not how i wanted to spend my night, so i walk away to the bathroom.
"yasmin wait!" walker says grabbing my hand. i pull away and continue walking towards the bathroom.
there was two girls coming out and tears started to fall down my eyes, luckily no one else was in there. i grabbed some napkins from my purse and began wiping my tears.
i looked at myself in the mirror and all of a sudden i was back to march 22nd.

"walker are you home?" he wasn't answering my calls, i went to his house to check on him.
"wait don't come in." walker yells while i was waiting outside of his bedroom door.
i heard footstep and a girls laugh. my heart sunk.
"i know what's going on, i'll leave you two be."
i started to leave, tears falling down my eyes. then i feel someone grab me by my waist and pull me back.
"yasmin wait." i look to see walker and some blonde girl standing behind him.
"her??"

i continue looking at myself in the mirror and wipe my tears some more. i decided to put more concealer on so it wouldn't like i was crying.
i went back out there and seen the blonde girl with walker and leah. leah doesn't know what happened, all she knows is that we broke up.
i didn't want to go back over there, so i went to look for my brother.
"wait yasmin, your leaving already?" i hear a familiar voice say , i turn around and see that it was dylan.
i instantly smile , for someone reason all my pain faded away.
"yeah um, i was just going to find my ride." i say trying to push the ball in my throat down.
"is everything ok?" he asks in concern.
"uh yea, i think i just need some fresh air." i say.
"well it's impossible to get that here." he says scratching the side of his face.
"wait i have an idea , the beach is literally a 2 minute walk from here. we could go there if you'd like?"
"i would love to." i say with a smile.
