In the last chapter:
Ren: Vast is the sea, its waves reaching horizons far and wide, eternal its the radiance of its azure womb
As he was chanting, his appearence gradually behan to change. His blue hairs became a bit longer and changed colours becoming from blue, red like blood
Ren: And so let us ride this moment and dash forth, swift as light, quick as a star eternal.
Hear my plea, and grant this one wish:
The world longs for an era of peace; days that know not strife.
His eyes became red, his skin became dark, and his voice became deeper. It was like Ren was transforming into another person. The more he was speaking, the more his power would grow. The laws of the world were starting to change
Ren: In a world where only peace is lord, and men join hands in liberty...
Allow me to sing this:
Halt. O time. for thou art fair beyond measure
Zeref kept his guard raised up, not knowing what would come next. He himself knew the man infront of him wasn't Ren Fujii but someone else and seeing his new appearence convinced him
Ren: I wish upon your unending star - guide me to heights unknown!
Atziluth-
The word that would alloe someone to paint in its own colour, something not many can reach. And his law is
Ren: Res Novae - Also Sprach Zarathustra!
The emanation was complete, everything was halted now except Ren's allies, Zeref because he was equal to him and the rest of Hegemony Gods. Zeref observed the appearence of the new man, jet-black skin, bloody red hair, bloody red eyes and a silver armor that was giving him a lustruous and majestic appearence. On his back like wings, eight blades were popping up and spinning slowly. But that was not all. From Ren's chant, a giant Naga with red hair that coiled all around the place Zeref and Ren were appeared, this was his Kamunagara
Yato was still floating and looked down at Zeref
Yato: so come at me, bark at me Zeref Dragneel. Show me what you can do filthy cell. I am the leader of the Yatsukahagi, Tenma Yato! And I will not allow to ever reach the Throne!
The only thing Zeref could do now was attack. But would he do that?
And now
Yato was floating as he landed on the ground
Yato: I'm more into brawlings than play the Shogi Game
As he said that, his blades pointed their cutting edges to Zeref like a giant serpent(Orochi)
Zeref: you bastard... you really think you can kill me only because you got more powerful?!
Zeref: dark blast!
Zeref charged a giant dark energy sphere and threw it at Yato. However, the moment it striked him nothing happened. Yato's time armour prevented any change from him
Yato: pathetic
And then, Zeref watched above his head as a cut flew above his head and then striked the sky creating a crack. Despite being in a form that completely transcends the concepts of space and time, he could not see it. He was sure he could do something like that but what really got him was the speed he made that. He understood that he changed tactic to accelerating his own time, now it wasn't much different from being frozen. Moment oh moment, the moment we dearly love... time is Zeref's enemy and Yato's best friend
*boom kaboom slash cut*
Then from the crack, like a lightning falling from the sky, a storm of blades poured down on Zeref, severing him with a speed he couldn't see
Zeref: Uoooh!
The number of slashes could have been thousands, ten thousands or even milions. They slashed 30% of his meat and organs. An unavoidable judgement, that only Sakagami Habaki was able to survive too. All the parts that were severed froze in Yato's hell. Zeref didn't know what to do in that situation all because of the overwhelming speed
Zeref: damn... this is-
Yato: yes, be frozen in the crimson hell
At the same moment, the storm poured down faster. Could he receive it? No he could not
Zeref: raaaaahh!!!
With a strong magic attack, he dispersed the storm. However, those blades that can cut through even time were not all that Yato had. If Zeref would try to attack Yato frontally, the wings on his back would behead him, but Yato had other plans and began to sing
Yato: blood, blood, blood. All it wants it's blood. Offer blood to the guillotine, blood to slake it's thirst. So the blood does flow, the guillotine's thirst is never quenched. All it wants it's blood. Blood. Blood... Margueritte-Bois de Justice!
A song from another world, that Zeref could not understand. In response, Yato's Kamunagara started to move. It letted out a roar that struck him down, an attack powerful enough to make the heavens crumble
Yato: and yet you don't die. I have no reason to show any mercy at all
Zeref: death orb!
He shot a big dark attack to Yato, powerful enough to destroy everything on its path
Zeref: dark blast inferno!
He collected dark fire on his hand and punched Yato
Zeref: what about this then? One Ultimate!
Zeref cloaked his hands in flame-like dark matter and engages into a hand-to-hand attack and piercing attack. However, that couldn't harm Yato, no matter how hard he tried, his time armor would have prevent any change to him. And then
A flying blade from Yato's back swinged to Zeref. It was a swing meant to decapitate yet Zeref dodged it. But was he really safe?
Zeref: you'll have to try har- gaahhh!
One of Yato's wings pierced his stomach and lifted him up. The poison in it began to spread all around Zeref's body
Yato: I see, so you want to die huh? The nature of your craving is similar to a guy I once knew, that's why I can't loose against you
And then Yato threw Zeref away. He didn't have the time to stand up that Yato's power raised again but this time differently
Yato: Sic Itur Ad Astra(Thus man reach for the stars)... Sequere Naturam!
A rain of stars poured down on Zeref. Countless meteors exploded on him. Actually, those were nothing more than the scales of the giant Naga
Zeref: dark orb! He tried to fought back and destroyed some, but the meteors covered 80% of thr sky and crushed down on Zeref. He couldn't even measure the bottom of the pit of the battlefield
Zeref: you son of a bitch...
Yato: stay down
After that, Yato rosed up his wings and leaped in air and used his Kamunagara to punch Zeref
Zeref: g-gaaaahhh!
He felt all his bones being broken. Blood was flooding his head as he was about to be frozen in Yato's crimson hell
Yato: now, make a favor to the world and die
Zeref: it's... not... over...!!
He stood up but his body was bleeding and those weird wings he had were broken. Yato was confused, he was supposed to die after all of that. Only Habaki survived it. Yet, someone else did. And Yato wasn't even playing. Yato's expression fell into guard raised up when he saw Zeref smirk
Zeref: you think I was going full might...? No, my goal isn't the Throne... my goal is destroying the system and rewrite even the root of it. This is why... I have reached the Naraka, where no one like you can! And now, fall! I summon the power that originated the Throne!
Zeref glowed in white as his power raised up. It raised beyond Yato's deepest expectations and that is what shocked him. He could not comprehend what was going on, and thought that whatever thing he would use to describe it, it would not fit. Ten circles appeared behind Zeref
Zeref: may the Sephirotic tree fall to ruin. Assiah, Yetzirah, Beri'ah, Atziluth fall apart. Ein Sof!
The circles emanated another light, this one more intense, a light of absolute destruction. It was similar to Mio's Ain but the nature was different. Nothing could even compare to that. Yato knew not even Hajun would have been able to destroy it. However, he was not a coward and prepared himself pointing his blades and Kamunagara
Yato: come at me!
Zeref: die forever, Ren Fujii. And after you, the other gods will meet the dame fat- aaarggh!
A sword pierced him and he spitted blood. The circles disappeared and everything returned normal
??: oh no, I will not allow you
A man spoke and the blade was removed from his chest. Yato landed
Yato: who the hell are you? Show yourself!
??: hey, no need to be like that I am your ally
The man showed himself. It was a man that was very very very similar to Muzan in everything and that was wearing an armor. The blade he had was also identical to Muzan's
Yato could not comprehend his nature aswell. But felt that this person was somehow connected to Naraka and was a higher plane of existence than him. If he had to describe him, the perfect description would have been "a singularity between singularities"
??: in answer to your question, my name is Varhram.
Yato: Varhram?
Yato said as he returned to his Ren Fujii form
Ren: who are you? Your aura is similar to what that Zeref was emanating and connecting to.
Varhram: you see, I am Zero's translator, that's why you feel such thing. I wish I could answer all of your questions, but I can't do it. Before I go, say hello from Magsarion to me
Ren: Magsarion?
Varhram: ah yes. I guess you know him as Muzan. Well, say hello to him from me kiddo
Ren: I will... I guess
Varhram: thank you
He smiled
Varhram: goodbye
And he faded away. Zeref's body and soul were destroyed aswell as Ren was teleported again in Tengu City. In Tengu City Zeref's army was defeated and was retreating in a portal. The first thing Ren did was going to check if everyone was alive, but he knew for sure that Muzan, Nerose and Reinhard were.
As he arrived to them, all the spirits he met greeted him and hugged him. Sadly his legion was not there anymore as Tokoyo sacrificed their souls, but at least the spirits were there. All of them. Tohka, Yoshino, Kurumi, Miku, Sawa and all of them. Of course Shido and Kotori too. They spoke before the other Hegemony Gods reached them and after few minutes of talking, it was time to Ren to go back to the Throne. Doesn't mean he won't see them again.
Now that the war was over, finally Ren can have some peace
