I opened my eyes slowly and first I got a glimpse of my crying Mom. Her eyes were red with dark circles under her eyes. Next I saw my Dad whom I had seen crying after ages. He was holding my hand and saying some kind of a prayer.
When I made a movement of the hand he was holding he realized and looked at me. His face light up and he started telling Mom to look at me. They both got happy and hugged me. Mom started kissing me all over.
When I got my full consciousness I realized my head was full of bandages and my left hand was hurting a lot. I can't remember what happened!
"Why am I here?" I asked.
"You had an accident beta." Mom said emotionally.
Accident- I started getting flashbacks. I was on call with Reena and she said that we are ending the relationship. I got distracted, my heart broke so much that I forgot I was riding a bike, and I got blind.
"What's the time?" I asked.
"It's 7 in the evening." Dad said.
"I have been admitted here since morning."I said and wondered what would have happened to Reena. She must be worried, I hope her health doesn't get affected.
" Since 5 days." Dad said further.
"Huhh!? " I was confused.
"You have been admitted since past 5 days... You woke up today." He said patting my hand.
I got such a big shock. I started sitting straight like an electric power just run through my body but I suddenly felt immense pain and was taken back again on the bed.
"What are you doing? You need to rest, don't get up." Mom said pushing my forehead towards the bed.
"Mom I need to talk to her." I said.
"Who?" She asked but I didn't reply. I just looked into her eyes with tears.
"You are not well, first recover then talk to her." She said.
"Mom please understand I need to listen to her voice for once please, I want to check that she is okay." I said pleading.
"What is going to happen to her? Everything is happening to you only, this love of yours is hurting only you not her, she is happy." Mom said in a angry tone.
"Her brother won't let you live in peace just get rid of that girl... We can't do the same thing because she is a girl so he is taking advantage of that." Dad said.
"Dad she is not just any girl, she is my girl and I won't let her go at any cost. I swear on my life if I lose her I won't be alive. And secondly don't forget you are equally capable of harming Reena, forgot the time when you kidnapped her?" I said and he was quite taken aback by my response.
"Is this how you talk to you dad?" He said in anger.
"I am sorry but I am just trying to protect my relationship please atleast you guys understand." I said grabbing my head.
"Oberoi's are the one's holding onto the ego, we are ready to accept her but are they ready to accept you? No right, then don't fight with us. If they are not willing to agree why should we plead them? And now I am not going to accept her at any cost because she is making my only son away from me, you are ready to die for her not thinking if your parents for even once! " My mom said and left. Dad followed her.
I started searching for my phone but didn't find it. Just then my friends entered.
"Are you okay? " Roshni asked first and then others.
"Yeah I am fine it's nothing."
"What it's nothing? Look at you, you look so weak and you have woke up after 5 days for God sake." Vansh said and sat besides me.
"But I am totally fine now... " I said and everyone was relieved.
They were having fun to brighten up my mood but my mind was distracted by something else. I decided to finally ask it.
"Where is Reena? How is she?" I asked and everyone went silent, they started looking at each other.
"She is alright." Zayn said.
"No you are lying. Tell me what is it?" I asked again.
"Actually when she heard your bike crash, she got panic attack and was admitted. She is on bed rest now and totally fine- physically." Aadhya said and my heart contracted in pain.
"Can I talk to her?" I asked her.
"Wait let me see."
She dialled Reena's number and put it on speaker.
"Hello! Where are you?" Aadhya asked.
"In my room... Why?" Her voice was low and she sounded very weak as if she was half dead.
"Is there someone with you?"
"No."
"Vijay wants to talk to you."
"Is he okay? He is awake. Please give him the call I wanna talk him." She said like she just took a rebirth.
Aadhya gave me her phone and I requested them that I wanted to talk to her in private.
"How are you meri jaan?" I asked.
"I am angry on you, how could you think of leaving me alone like this!" She said crying.
"I am sorry but I couldn't just accept that you can't be mine."
"I am yours and I'll always be yours remember that."
"Think about it again, loving me is like holding a rose with thorns, you'll get hurt."
"I love roses." She said and something inside me was jumping high in the air. It was love trying to come out.
"So will you be with me in every situation?" I asked.
"Yes." She replied.
"You'll fight against your family?"
"Yes."
"You'll not leave my hand no matter what we lose."
"Never."
"If you get an option between me and your family what will you choose?" I asked and she went silent for a minute.
"You." Finally she replied.
"Be ready I am going to take you after 3 days." I said with a smile.
"I will be waiting for you." She said and I could feel her smiling on the other side of the phone.
