chloe and belladonna were never very close. belladonna's mother was very neglectful and verbally abusive. occasionally laying hands on belladonna when drunk enough. belladonna always wanted her mothers love, though. so she did whatever her mother asked in an attempt to get her love. but, her mother wasn't a mother, really. she failed to protect belladonna when she really needed it. calling her a liar when she came to her about the abuse she was suffering from her stepfather. and ignoring her everytime she told her a man had harmed her. all the while claiming she just did what she had to do to protect belladonna and her brother.

phineas is her biological father. he was a drunk who was never really there for her. he doesn't what she needed. especially when her mother wasn't who she needed, either. her father left her life when she was only six years old, after getting divorced from her mother. belladonna spoke to her father occasionally, before he completely ghosted her when she was thirteen. she always wondered why she wasn't good enough for him to stick around.

harry was her stepfather. a man she was afraid of for most of her life. he was abusive the entire time she knew him. it started verbally, before turning to physical abuse. one night, when she was only ten years old, it turned to intimate abuse. he would continue to abuse her and threaten her to stay quiet until she was seventeen. he poisoned her after finding out she was planning on reporting him to police on her eighteenth birthday.

twain and belladonna were always close. they were all the other had, really. but they didn't know how to love each other properly, never having been shown true love. so, they harmed each other unintentionally. twain shaming belladonna's body and belladonna making him feel like he was just like their father. they destroyed each other just as much as their parents destroyed each other. looking back, she deeply regrets the ways she hurt her brothers without having even realized it and wishes to go back and make things better.

lily was born after she died. about a year after she died. belladonna didn't find out about her until one of her cousins died and came to hell as well. finding out that her mother had changed and seemed to actually be a good mother to lily. part of her resent lily, that she gets loving parents. that their mom loved lily enough to change for her, but she wasn't good enough to change for. but, she's also happy for her little sister. that she gets to grow up in a loving environment and hopefully, will be spared from the abuse she was subjected to.

angelica and belladonna were always close when they were alive. they were best friends, always there for each other. as angelica was a few years older than belladonna, angelica was often a safe space for belladonna to go to escape her stepfather. but, angelica didn't know how to properly love her, either. their entire family was dysfunctional and none of them ever really learned how to be properly loved. when angelica died, they reunited in hell and angelica has once again become a safe space for belladonna.

angel dust is her closest friend. she sees him as a sort of older brother figure. he tries his best to keep her safe and comfort her. especially when it's related to valentino. however, he's not always the best at this. she knows he tries. he reminds her of angelica and that makes her feel especially connected to him.

vaggie and belladonna weren't quick to become friends. vaggie didn't love belladonna at first. just viewing her as the girl version of angel dust, and she didn't really like angel dust all that much. but after belladonna came to her one night for help after a bad argument with valentino, she saw a new side to her and the two bonded a lot that night. now, vaggie acts as a sort of protector to belladonna. making sure she's safe as much as she can.

belladonna loves niffty. even if she does kill bugs that belladonna would rather release. niffty reminds her of a kid she used to work with when she was a model. a very excitable kid whom she'd become like a big sister to over multiple shoots with. so, she felt a certain amount of caring towards niffty and felt a need to protect her. 

rosie

belladonna met rosie when she went to cannibal town with charlie and alastor. one of the first times she had shown her true loyalty to charlie and the others. after the battle, rosie and belladonna ended up spending a lot of time together and rosie would take on a sort of maternal role with belladonna. belladonna often coming to rosie for support and advice.

husker views her in a similar light as he does angel dust. seeing her as a shallow party girl who doesn't really care about the people around her. although, he's also seen some of her lowest points when she's been drinking at the bar and is always there to be a listening shoulder. even if they go back to arguing when she's sober again.

it's only natural she hates valentino. he's an abusive boss who took advantage of her when she was injured to get control over her. he often beats her and forces her to work to long days when he's pissed off- she doesn't even have to be the one to piss him off. he gaslights her into thinking it's her fault and overall beats her down even more than she already was from her life.

belladonna was born in a dysfunctional family. her father struggled with alcahol and her mother was emotionally unavailable. she didn't want to be a mother. let alone have a daughter. her mother was constantly tired, taking care of belladonna and her twin brother. she always seemed to favor twain, though. or at least didn't seem to hate him as much. she didn't seem to love him, though. all the twins had was each other, but they repeated the harmful things they learned from their parents and hurt each other in the same ways their parents did. leading to them fighting often. when they were six, their parents got divorced and their mom got full custody due to their fathers addiction. belladonna's mom married her stepdad when she was eight and things only went further downhill. at that point, belladonna had been modelling for a few years and as her stepfather was a photographer, he often took her to her shoots. leaving her alone with him often. he would berate her, putting her down for gaining any amount of weight. when she was ten, he started to intimately abuse her. she tried to go to her mother, but her mother said she was lying and to not bring this up to anyone else or she'd be in trouble. so, bella hid it from everyone. suffering through the abuse for years to come.

☞teenage years

belladonna started drinking and doing drugs when she was thirteen. she'd sneak out and party all night. disappearing for days at a time. sleeping with anyone who gave her attention and made her feel wanted. she got herself in a lot of very dangerous situations doing this and was hurt many times. she skipped school to go to drug deals and wouldn't be able to go a few hours without drinking. often carrying around water bottles filled with vodka. she overdosed multiple times due to how reckless she was being, but it didn't stop her. going to rehab didn't stop her. nothing stopped her. until she was seventeen and found out she was pregnant a month before her eighteenth birthday. she made plans to leave on her eighteenth birthday and report her stepdads abuse, planning to move in with her cousin, angelica. but before she could do all that, her stepfather poisoned her. using the belladonna plant to kill her. 

☞afterlife

belladonna got to hell a week before extermination day. she struggled through the week, before almost being killed. valentino, a powerful overlord saved her, though. he brought her back to v towers and made a deal with her. he'd protect her from others, but she had to give him her soul. she was so new to hell she didn't understand just what that meant and took the deal. he started making her work immediately, keeping his promise. he did keep her safe from others, but she wasn't safe from him. it took less than a month for her to start beating her. forcing himself on her often. their romantic relationship ended and gave way to an abusive boss and employee relationship. she kept to herself for a long time, before meeting angel dust. the two quickly became friends and angel always stood up for her. eventually, angel would start staying at the happy hotel where he was working to be redeemed- although he was more so staying there to not have to stay at the towers with valentino. angel eventually brought her to the hotel after she had an especially severe fight with valentino and needed help due to her injuries. she was embraced with open arms- partially. slowly finding a place there and a home. she worked to better herself and let herself trust people for the first time ever. she was able to be vulnerable and truly believe she wouldn't be hurt. when the battle came, she stood by her friends side and fought not for her life, but for theirs. ready to sacrafice her life for her friends if she had to. luckily, she didn't and she was able to help rebuild the hotel after the battle. making a memorial for pentious after everything was said and done.
