I fall in love too easily.
Not particularity with another human being all the time, rather the things I see around me. Watching little kids play in fountains or old people knitting on the subway. It makes you realize that everyone is living their own story.
Its all around you, if you really think about it.
You can hear it in the music you listen to or your best friends laugh. You can feel it in hugs and kisses and subtle touches that are so soft you can barely feel them. You can see it all around you in the eyes of that stranger who was looking at their significant other in the restaurant or the way a baby's smile radiates when its held by its mother.
But I think I'm in love with her.
There's something about the way the sun catches the glow of her eyes, the wind pushing her hair into her face, that leaves me in a comfortable state of mind.
I think I'm in love with her; but I could never utter a word. Not to her, not to anyone. The way her hand slides perfectly into place with Scott's leaves me breathless. My own body aches to feel her skin against my own, but she doesn't belong to me. She doesn't belong to anyone but herself, actually. But its Scott who gets to kiss her goodnight, hold her hand while they walk down the street, hug her close when shes upset.
She used to come to me when Scott and herself would fight. I'd savor those moments as if they were my last moments on earth, because after she cried onto my shoulder until she couldn't possibly cry anymore she'd go crawling back to Scott again and they'd pretend it never happened.
Scott would go back to kissing her again like he used to, and she would go back to pretending that I meant nothing more to her than a friend. She would never talk about those fragile moments we shared, or the glances that lasted a second too long.
We would go back to being nothing more than (Y/n) and Stiles. And its beginning to tear my heart in two.
