There was no way the Kim family's chefs could have prepared these delectable dishes. Their appearances alone were sufficient to greatly stimulate everyone's appetite.

His considerate action caused jennie's eyes to burn in jealousy.
Immediately, she adjusted her expression and concealed the envy. She then curved her lips into a fawning smile. "CEO Jeon, there are so many dishes here. You won't be able to finish these even if there were more people. May I join you?"
"What makes you think that you are worthy?" A hint of unhappiness appeared in jungkook's sharp eyes.
Jennie's smile stiffened.
Eunji saw that her daughter was refused and consoled him sweetly. "CEO Jeon, please don't be upset with jennie. She's still young and immature."
Deep in her heart, she knew that jungkook would not be moved by the Kim family under the current circumstances.
Thus, eunji shifted her stern gaze onto taehyung. "taehyung ah, your second uncle, your second sister and I are all starving. Why haven't you asked us to join you yet?"
Taehyung was transported back to the times when the Kim family used to leave him out whenever there was good food to eat. They only offered him the leftovers. He had never enjoyed even a bite of their luxurious, delectable dishes.
They had claimed it was to help him lose weight.
"The Kim family chefs have already prepared your food, haven't they?" taehyung responded calmly. "You can set up another table."
"How could our Kim home's chefs compete with the chefs from the Jeon Villa."
More importantly, it was a great honor to have a meal with jungkook. If news about this spread, countless people would rush to fawn on them in the near future. Eunji had a loving smile on her face. "taehyung ah, you've always been a filial child. Quickly request CEO Jeon on our behalf."
Hyunwoo also said, "Yes, it's rare for us to have a meal as a family.
"Indeed. It's been a long time since we ate as a family." taehyung sneered mockingly.
Just as the Kim family assumed he would speak on their behalf to jungkook, taehyung changed the topic. "All this while, I've always been eating leftovers in the storeroom, while the rest of you enjoyed delicacies in the dining room. You never once offered any good food to me. Now that I have these delicacies to enjoy, why do I have to share them with you?"
Upon hearing this, jungkook's expression darkened.
Eunji noticed that jungkook's face was becoming stormy and she rushed to respond quickly. "taehyung ah, you child, what are you talking about? Haven't we always been eating the same food? Even if we stopped you from eating some things, it was because you're overweight. Mom was worried you would fall sick. I was only trying to help you lose weight."
"That's right." jennie chimed in.
"CEO Jeon, don't listen to him. My third brother is so fat. He is clearly eating ten times better than me. Otherwise, how could he have developed such a figure?"
Taehyung's current weight did not happen only because he had eaten a large amount of oily and unhealthy food under jennie's insinuations. It was mostly because he had consumed food that contained drugs that would stimulate weight gain.
But right now, he did not have any evidence of jennie's actions.

But Eunji glared at him. Her eyes were clearly implying that if he responded affirmatively, it would be tantamount to admitting that he had lived in a storeroom earlier. Hadn't they given jungkook enough reasons to hate them already?
Hyunwoo tactfully fell silent.
"Rather than a storeroom, it's simply one of the rooms on the first floor. The place is quite nice and well-maintained. Since the commander wishes to see it, please follow me..." eunji indicated with her hand and turned to walk down the hallway next to the staircase.
She paused at the end of the hallway and turned around the corner to approach one of the rooms located several meters inwards.
Jungkook and taehyung followed behind.
The moment taehyung saw the door, he knew something was amiss.
The brand new, well-made door was an indicator of what lay inside. he had no doubt the interior would be starkly different from what he remembered it to be.
Eunji pointed at the door. "CEO Jeon, look. This door was bought from a reputable brand. I spent more than a thousand dollars on it. Compare it with the other rooms over there. Those aren't as expensive. This is all because we prioritised taehyung's privacy. He's my son after all. Everything has to be of the best quality."
"Whose rooms are those?" jungkook asked with a heavy tone.
"It's..." eunji had no way of concealing it. "They belong to the maids."
jungkook's face was extremely dark. His eyes seemed to burn with murderous intent. "You made my fiancée sleep in the maid's quarters?"
"I..." eunji could not come up with a good excuse.
In that instant, jennie rushed to speak up, instead. "CEO Jeon, you've misunderstood my mother. My mother has always doted on my third brother more than me. This is all because my third brother is extremely overweight, and was too lazy to climb the stairs. The Kim family is unlike the Jeon Villa where elevators have been installed. My third brother was the one who requested to stay here."
Taehyung smiled coldly. "Is that so?"
"Of course you'll deny it now." jennie replied with reddened eyes. "Third brother , I know that your academic results are poor, and that you're jealous of me for being a top student. Mom only criticised your grades a little, and because of that, you're having a cold war with her."
"I'm the one who wants to see the room that taehyung used for seven years. This is unrelated to taehyung!" jungkook was upset with the way jennie always shifted the topic onto taehyung's flaws.
"I'm jealous of your good grades?" taehyung looked at jennie as though she was retarded. "Don't make up lies about me. It'll be examination time soon. We'll see exactly who performs better at that time!"
Hoseok had heard of taehyung's gamble with jennie.
Water had really entered this fattie's brain. He was actually competing with his genius second sister over examination grades? Wasn't this the same as using an egg to break a stone!
He looked forward to watching Fattie Kim being humiliated when the time came.
Eunji quickly opened the expensive door to reveal a room that was around ten meters square big.
The windows were half the size of a regular room. However, it was indeed well decorated. The wallpaper was pale yellow and the curtains were white. Although the bed did not appear to be expensive, it was sturdy with a wooden frame. It was around 1.5 meters wide and the frame matched the colour of the closet.
There was a vanity, a couch, and a ceiling to floor mirror. It contained everything that one could possibly need.
At the first glance, it indeed seemed like a place where one wouldn't suffer.
taehyung pursed his lips. Previously, the room walls had been covered in mold. The paint had cracked and was flaking off. The closet looked splotchy due to its fading colour. From the start, the room did not have any wallpaper and the furniture had been non-existent.

Taehyung was curious as to how jungkook would respond now.
He immediately gave hoseok a look. "Check it."
"Yes, sir." hoseok immediately scanned the room thoroughly and returned to report his findings.
"Boss, there are no signs of wear and tear on the door. It is obvious that they have installed a new one. The glue on the wallpaper is still wet. The window frame also carries the faint scent of fresh paint. Moreover, the paint is yet to dry completely. It's clear that the room was renovated last night."
One of the bodyguards standing behind jungkook also chipped in. "Boss, I was on duty last night. I discovered several construction workers quietly renovating the room through the night."
