Lucas's Pov
...
I was nearly at Amika's place when I suddenly received a call from an unknown number..
I parked my car in one of the empty gas stations along the road and answered the call
"Hello..."
"Mr Neviera, or should I say Lucas...."
" Who is this....and why are you calling...." I said sensing the hostility in the caller's voice
"Listen, you may not know me but I know you.....and I know what you are doing and where you are going.....if you even think of pulling off any stunts.....the girl and the child will face the consequences., I have a team of men, who will be ready strike at any moment...."
"If you even think of hurting either of them....I swear...." I tried to threaten
"What will you do.....you don't even know who I am....so stick to the plan..." with that the caller ended the call leaving me in my thoughts...
"And that is exactly what we wanted to know....good job Lucas for sounding so suprised...." Jamie said through the speaker in my ear
"Don't worry, they can't hear us since it's directly in my ear."....I thought
We'd suspected that the chip in my neck so obvious to anyone would be a trap.....we just wanted to see if they could still sense my movements and it was clear they could....
How they knew, we were still trying to figure that out....but for now I needed to stay as far away as possible from Amika...

2 weeks later
Amika's Pov
...
I was now about 6 weeks pregnant and honestly.....all the hormones just got more and more intense...
Morning Sickness is so much harder to deal with.... especially since I throw up atleast 3 times in the morning
Every morning....
Little Baby....what did I do to deserve this
Luckily my hormones aren't too intense, so I don't feel too overly emotional....The cravings get stranger and stranger...
Pickles and chocolate syrup....
Orange Slices and Hot sauce
Prawn Chips and Vinegar....
And I didn't know about the smell cravings as well....I've been loving the smell of car tires recently....but don't expect to find me sniffing one
Myra is currently at her dad's house......she missed him alot...so she asked me to take her there.....But Courtney, who flew here the day Lucas and Eva's engagement was announced to come snd check up on how I was doing. Obviously I told her that I was fine and that I took the news really well....which obviously wasn't true....Courtney seemed really angry about the news.., but she said she wouldn't interfere in Lucas and I's life.....and would support the both of us in our decisions
So Courtney took Myra there herself.... and to visit her son as well....
She's been there for atleast a week now.....I miss her alot...but I need to focus on myself as well... especially with this baby
I reopened the restaurant as well....and it was as a success as it was the very first day I opened it.....only worse now
Tara had been helping me with the restaurant as there were alot of customers asking for the infamous Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese that I served during it's first days. Tara left 3 days ago, but she told me that if I didn't call her every 2 days, she'd find a way to murder me without harming the baby
And to answer the question everyone is probably wondering about.....only one person knows about my pregnancy.... I'm sure if Courtney stayed more than a day....she would've known
Because she said I looked paler and more weak....sooner or later, if she saw me throwing up she would've concluded that I infact had a bun in the oven
I was currently resting at home, since I'd been at the restaurant for 3 days, and I decided that I'd take a break today.....I was reading the pamphlet that Miss Monroe gave me
"Nausea is a common pregnancy symptom that can be a hindrance in a pregnant woman's life.It can be set off by certain smells, foods or even the sight of some foods......"
I suddenly heard a knock at the door and I set down my book and went towards the door
"Who could it be...." I said inside my head
When I opened the door..I was greeted by a huge white box covering the face of a what seemed to be.....

"Everly!!!!!......" I nearly shouted
"Glad to know you still remember what I look like...." she joked while setting down the boxes on the table, then hugged me
"I missed you so much, you really have no idea....." I said burying my head in her neck while shedding a few tears
The hormones....please excuse me guys
"Wow I didn't know you missed me that much....don't worry I missed you too...." she said while giggling
We went to the couch, where I was sitting then suddenly Everly found the pamphlet that I was reading.....I quickly snatched it from her hands
" Uhm....this is dirty.., I used it to kill a cockroach,...lemme just put it away..." I said while hiding it somewhere else
"Okayy.....?"Everly said confusedly
I didn't need anyone from Lucas's family finding out that I was pregnant....just yet
"What's in this box....." I said while looking at it
" It's a box of donuts....I stopped by one of the bakery's and thought that you would want some...."
Now I was hungry
" You always have the perfect timing...." I said while practically grabbing an icing sugar covered donut....Everly grabbed a chocolate covered donut.....and I started to crave hers
Unfortunately...... immediately the smell of the donut hit my nostrils, a wave of nausea rushed over me.....
I covered my mouth and put the donut back in it's box and rushed to the bathroom...I threw up my breakfast....and some of it had to mess my favourite tshirt....
"Amika!!!, Oh my God....are you alright?...should I call a doctor.?...are you allergic to the donuts?....I should have checked before buying them...." Everly said frantically
"Yes, No and No, the donut are probably alright , it's just that I'm sensitive to some smells, could you grab me a new t-shirt from my closet...."
"Sure..." Everly said
I waited for what felt like 5 minutes....maybe she's forgotten the way to my room....no my apartment isn't even that big
I went to my room and found her holding a the box that I had promised to suprise Lucas with about my pregnancy.....
"So this is why you've been acting so strange today... you're... you're pregnant?"Everly asked me
Tears welled up in my eyes and I nodded eagerly....
"I'm so happy for you Amika....you're going to be an amazing mom....second time mom..." Everly said while hugging me
But seeing the box gave me different feelings.....memories of Lucas, the fact that I wanted to tell him the news, made me sob in Everly's arms
"What's wrong....why are you crying?, you're going to be an amazing mother Amika...you have nothing to worry about...."She comforted me
"No.... it's just that.... Lucas.... I...." I tried to form sentences but it just made me cry even more
"It's yours and Lucas's baby and he.....oh goodness...I'm so sorry Amika...I wish I could do more about it...." Everly said
"There's nothing any of us can do Everly.....and I don't mind at all....I just wish that it was in different circumstances....our love... Myra and now this baby...."
"No... Amika, this baby can't grow up without his/her father....and you don't deserve whatever happened to you...I will make sure of that....."
"Thank you Everly...so much"
"You don't have to thank me.... that's what I'm here for....now do you have any cravings you want to fufill....?" Everly asked me
"Well....I do have a few in mind....." I said and we went to the kitchen

We were currently on the couch watching Jane the Virgin... because why not...
Suddenly Everly received a call that seemed extremely urgent...When she came back she seemed to be extremely happy...
"I have some exciting and important news for you that might just help you..." Everly said
"And also... there's a gala today where a final and important contract between the Lacrosse's and Lucas's company...."
"And...?
"We're all expected to come including you..."
"What, why?, Lucas and I broke up..."
"Lucas and you broke up, not Lucas with Myra and your unborn baby....which is going to help alot....so when we leave for the gala, carry that box....but for now we're going dress shopping, oh and Loren will be coming as well"

5pm
I was so tired after all that shopping Everly and I did......we did eat out so I had a little bit of energy, we'd been gone almost the whole day....
We had so many bags and practically the whole car was filled with bags of dresses and shoes....
"It forgot how much fun girls only shopping
could be...." Everly said
"Because you're always busy with work and you never have enough time to visit us...." Loren complained
I chuckled
"I know...I'll make more time for girls shopping...in the future...."
We finally arrived at my apartment and unloaded the many bags we had....
"Wow Amika...your apartment is really nice.....you must give me tips on how to make it look so chic......" Loren admired
"Thanks Loren....and you must give me tips on room organisation..."
"Don't worry about it....now let's get dressed we've got a gala to attend to....."Loren said excitedly

I got ready in my bedroom....while Loren and Everly got ready in the other guest rooms.....
Amika's dress
I wanted a dress that wouldn't catch too much attention and one that would be easier to walk in..... because I have been clumsier of late and I did not want to trip at a gala......
So I found this jumpsuit dress....which was a jumpsuit in the front and dress in the back
For Shoes
I brushed my hair and left it open....then sprayed one of my perfumes,grabbed a purse and left my room
