Armaan looks at the papers in his hands and then at the door where Abhira is admitted.

He took the pen and started writing Abhira's name on the paper while panicking. Then his eyes fell on the letters of the papers.

"Spouse Name"

Seeing that his mind went to the day when they got married.

"Tumhare aur mere bich ka yah Jo rishta hai yah sirf kagazi aur expiry date ke saath aata hai. Final exams hote hi mai job karungi aur job milte hi tumhare aur mere raaste alag ho jaaenge."

He cried remembering her words but still somehow managed to write his name infront of Spouse name.

Then his eyes fell on date of birth.

"Date of birth." He said to himself, "Mujhe toh abhira ki date of birth pata hi nahi hai."

He then turned the page and looked at the form asking for any allergies or about patients past medical history.

"Patient ko kisi cheez se allergy yaa koi past medical history." He said to himself, "mujhe Abhira ka ek saal tak khayal rakhna hai aur mujhe uske naam ke alwava kuch, kuch pata hi nahi hai."

He said and looked at the door crying.

"Ab m....mai kya karu? Yeh saa....saari det...details kaise fill up karu?" Armaan asked to himself stammering.

His eyes fell on the man who had came there with Abhira. He went towards him and tapped on his shoulder as he was talking to someone on his phone. The man turned around and looked at him as he cut the call.

"Yes" He asked confusedly.

"Hiii, mai Armaan Poddar. Aapne thodi der pehle meri wife ke phone se call kiya tha na." Armaan said.

"Oh haa. Armaan Poddar." That man said.

"Ummm.....Abhira ka phone aapke pass hoga na? Please de dijiye." Armaan requested.

"Yaa yaa. Yeh lijiye unka phone." He gave the phone to him.

"Thank You So Much. Aap Abhira ko hospital le kar aaye, uske liye Thank You." Armaan said folding his hand infront of her.

"Are nahi nahi, Mr. Poddar. It's my duty. Please don't say Thank You." The man said holding his hands.

"Par phir bhi, aapne itna sab kiya," Armaan insisted, his voice heavy with emotion. "Main sach mein aapka shukriya ada karna chahta hoon."

The man smiled warmly, his eyes reflecting understanding and empathy. "Mr. Poddar, insaniyat ka farz hai yeh. Jab koi apne parivaar ke liye kuch bhi kar sakta hai, toh yeh duniya bhi ek parivaar hi hai."

Armaan nodded to which he patted Armaan's shoulder and said, "Don't worry Mr. Poddar, aapki wife jaldi theek ho jaeegi."

"Thank You." He said.

The man nodded and walked away from there. Meanwhile, Armaan with shaking hands called one of her friend,Riya Singh.

"Hiii Abhira." She said

"Ummm.... It's not Abhira. I am Armaan Poddar, Abhira's husband." Armaan said

"Oh Hii Mr. Poddar." She said.

"Hello. Um actually I need your help. Can you please help me?' He asked.

"Haa jaroor. Bataiye." She said.

"Um..... tum Abhira ki dost ho na toh tumhe uske date of birth aur uske baare mein sab pata hoga. Right? Toh kya tum please mujhe bata sakti ho ki uski birthday kab hai?" Armaan asked awkwardly.

"Uhh....Yeah, Abhira ki date of birth 24 July 1999 hai." She said.

"Okay, aur use koi allergies yaa phir koi past medical history?" He again asked desperately.

"Na...nahi. Use koi allergies nahi hai. Aur nahi koi past medical history." She said.

"Thank You Riya. Tumhari madad ki bohot zarurat thi," Armaan said with gratitude.

"Par aap yeh sab kyu puch rahe hai? Abhira theek hai na?" Riya asked in a worried tone.

"Na...nahi. She met with an accident. Aur abhi hospital mein hai." Armaan said

"Kya? Abhira ka accident? Vo...voh the....theek toh hai na?" She asked.

"Pa...pata nahi, Doctor kuc....kuch keh nahi rahe hai. She is going under treatment." Armaan said.

"Kya? M...mai ab...abhi aati hu ho... hospital." She said.

"Riya, please, tumhe abhi aane ki koi zarurat nahi hai. Main hoon yahan, main sab dekh lunga," Armaan insisted, trying to reassure her.

"Par Mr. Poddar, Abhira meri dost hai. Main bhi toh uski help kar sakti hoon," Riya insisted, her concern evident in her voice.

"Main jaanta hoon Riya, par abhi situation thodi critical hai. Tum ghar pe raho, main tumhe update karta rahunga," Armaan said, hoping to convince her to stay back.

"Thik hai, Mr. Poddar. Aap please mujhe har update de dena. Main dua karti hoon ki Abhira jaldi theek ho jaaye," Riya said sincerely.

"Haan, zarur. Thank you, Riya, tumhari duaon ki zarurat hai," Armaan said gratefully, feeling supported by Riya's concern.

Riya nodded, her heart heavy with worry for her friend, before ending the call. Armaan took a deep breath, knowing he had to stay strong for Abhira's sake.

He looked at the door where Abhira was being treated. Armaan sat on the bench, his heart heavy with worry for Abhira. Tears welled up in his eyes as he thought about her accident. He felt lost and overwhelmed, unsure of what to do next. Clutching Abhira's phone tightly, he sought solace in the memories of their time together.

"Please be fine Abhira. Please come back to me." He murmured to himself.

Armaan paced back and forth in the waiting area, his heart pounding with anxiety. Three long hours had passed since Abhira was taken into the operating room. Each passing minute felt like an eternity.

Finally, the doors swung open, and Armaan's heart skipped a beat as he saw the doctors emerging from the room. He rushed towards them, his hands trembling with anticipation.

"Doctor, Abhira kaisi hai?" Armaan asked, his voice shaking with emotion.

The doctor looked at Armaan with a reassuring smile and said, "Mr. Poddar, Abhira bilkul theek hai. Uska operation successful raha. Ek ya do ghante mein wo hosh mein aa jayegi."

Relief flooded over Armaan as he heard the doctor's words. Tears of gratitude filled his eyes as he whispered a silent prayer of thanks.

"Thank you, Doctor. Thank you so much," Armaan said, his voice choked with emotion.

The doctor nodded warmly and said, "Yeh toh hamara farz hai. Abhira jaldi se jaldi theek ho jayegi. Aap bas unka saath dijiye aur dua kijiye."

Armaan nodded, his heart overflowing with gratitude.

"M....mai usse mil sa...sakta hu?" He asked pointing at the door.

"Nahi Mr. Poddar. Sorry par aap abhi Abhira se nahi mil sakte." The doctor.

"Pa...Par kyu? Ab to....toh operation bhi ho gaya hai na toh pl....please mujhe us....usse mil lene dijiye." Armaan stammered while requesting the doctor.

"Mr. Poddar, main samajh sakta hoon aapka khayaal, lekin Abhira abhi bahut weak hai. Usse thoda araam karne dijiye," the doctor replied.

Armaan's eyes pleaded with the doctor, "Par doctor, main bas ek baar usse dekhna chahta hoon. Mujhe yakeen hai ki agar main usse dekh loonga, toh sab theek ho jayega."

The doctor placed a reassuring hand on Armaan's shoulder and said gently, "Main samajh sakta hoon aapka dard, lekin abhi Abhira ko araam ki zarurat hai. Uske liye sabse zaruri hai ki wo bilkul chain se rest kare."

Armaan's shoulders slumped in defeat, "Doctor, please, ek minute ke liye milne dijiye. Main usse sirf dekhna chahta hoon, bas uski aankhon mein dekh kar mujhe sakoon milega."

The doctor sighed, "Mr. Poddar, main samajh sakta hoon aapka dard, lekin yeh humare liye behtar hoga ki Abhira ko abhi araam diya jaye. Aap bas thoda sa patience rakhiye aur unki jaldi se jaldi recovery ke liye dua kijiye."

Armaan's heart sank at the doctor's refusal, but he knew deep down that the doctor's advice was for Abhira's best interest. Reluctantly, he nodded, his eyes brimming with unshed tears.

"Ma....mai kuch nah....nahi karunga andar jaa kar. Ba...bas use dek...dekh kar vaapis aa....aa jaaunga. Mai use t...to...touch bhi nahi karunga. Please do.... doctor please." Armaan requested with heavy tears flowing down his eyes.

The doctor's expression softened as he witnessed Armaan's heartfelt plea, "Mr. Poddar, main samajh sakta hoon aapka dard aur aapka pyaar, lekin yeh abhi sahi waqt nahi hai. Abhira ko araam ki zarurat hai aur uske liye humein aapki cooperation chahiye."

Armaan's voice quivered with emotion as he pleaded once more, "Doctor, main samajh raha hoon, lekin mujhe bas ek baar usse dekhna hai. Please, ek chhoti si permission dijiye."

The doctor shook his head gently, "Mr. Poddar, hum doctors ki zimmedari hai ki hum patient ki behtari ke liye sahi faisla karein. Abhira ko araam dijiye aur uski jaldi se sehat mein wapas aane ki dua kijiye. Aur aap bhi uski madad mein saath dijiye."

Armaan's heart ached with longing. With a heavy sigh, he nodded, his eyes filled with tears of frustration and helplessness.

Armaan nodded silently, his heart heavy with longing to be by Abhira's side.

The doctor went away from there. Armaan walked slowly towards the door and peeked inside the room. He saw Abhira lying on the bed, sleeping quietly. There were tubes connected to her body, giving her medicine. She looked very weak and pale, like she didn't have much energy. Armaan's heart felt heavy seeing her like this, but he knew she was in good hands with the doctors.

Time skipped and almost 2 hours passed. Armaan was sitting silently on the bench. His eyes were fixed on the door. His cheeks dried up with tear strains visible on them. His lips dried up and his hairs all messed up.

Suddenly the beeping sound started coming from the Abhira's room. He looked at the door shockingly and stood up.

"Doctor, doctor." He shouted in panicked voice.

Without wasting time, he rushed inside the hospital room and looked at Abhira who was breathing heavily and the machine was beeping. He went towards her and held her hands trying to calm her down.

"Doct... doctor. Doctor, doctor." He again shouted looking at Abhira.

Armaan's hands trembled as he reached out to Abhira, panic evident in his voice. "Doctor, doctor!" he called out urgently, his heart racing with fear.

The doctor rushed into the room, his expression grave as he assessed the situation. Armaan's eyes were fixed on Abhira, who was breathing heavily, her distress palpable.

The doctor quickly assessed Abhira's condition, his movements swift yet deliberate. Armaan stood by her side, holding her hand tightly, his heart pounding with worry.

"Doctor, kya hua? Abhira ko kuch ho gaya?" Armaan asked, his voice trembling with fear.

The doctor's face was somber as he spoke, "Mr. Poddar, Abhira ka haal thoda critical hai. Hum jald se jald unhein aur medical attention denge."

Armaan's heart sank at the doctor's words, his mind racing with fear and uncertainty. He squeezed Abhira's hand gently, silently praying for her recovery.

"Please doctor, kuch kijiye. Abhira ko kuch nahi hona chahiye," Armaan pleaded, his voice choked with emotion.

The doctor nodded solemnly, his eyes reflecting the gravity of the situation. "Hum sab kuch karenge, Mr. Poddar. Abhira ko humare puri koshish se theek karenge."

Armaan nodded, his eyes filled with tears as he watched the medical team spring into action. All he could do now was wait, his heart heavy with fear and hope for Abhira's well-being.

"Aap please bahar jaaiye Mr. Poddar. We need to treat her." The doctor said

He nodded silently. With one last glance at Abhira, Armaan stepped out of the room. He paced anxiously in the waiting area, his thoughts filled with hope and fear, as he waited for any news about Abhira's condition.

Suddenly his phone rang. He took out his phone from his pocket and looked at the caller Id. It was Ruhi. He picked up the call.

"Hello Armaan" she said as soon as he picked up the call.

"Haa Ru...Ruhi bolo. Kya hua?" He asked

"Armaan tum kaha ho?" She asked.

"Kyu? Kuch kaam hai tumhe?" He asked.

"Ese kyu bol rahe ho Armaan. Mujhe toh bas tumhari chinta hai. Tum ese achanak bhaagte bhaagte chale gaye isiliye mai puch rahi thi." She said.

"Mai hospital mein hu. Abhira ka accident ho gaya hai." He said looking at the door with tears.

"Armaan, Abhira ka accident? Ye kaise hua?" Ruhi asked, her voice filled with shock and concern.

"Abhira thodi cr...critical hai. Aur mujhe b....bhi nahi pata ki uska a.....acc....accident kaise hua," Armaan replied.

"Armaan, main abhi hospital aati hoon. Hum milke dekhte hain kya ho sakta hai," Ruhi said.

"Ruhi, please, tumhe aane ki zarurat nahi hai. Situation thodi serious hai," Armaan insisted.

"Lekin Armaan, mai ladki hu toh mai vaha rahungi toh shayad meri koi help mil jaaye doctors." Ruhi said as she didn't wanted Armaan to stay alone with Abhira.

"Tum ladki ho lekin mai uska pati hu. Mai apni wife ka khayal rakh lunga. Tumhe yaha aane ki jarurat nahi hai." Armaan said with a firm voice.

Armaan looked at the door from where the doctor came out. He rushed towards him.

"Doc.. Doctor,Abhira kaisi hai? Voh t...theek toh h....hai na?' He asked in panicked tone.

"Haa, she is fine now but still unconscious. But don't worry, she will get her consciousness back soon." He said.

"Thank U Thank U so much doctor." He said folding his hands infront of him.

"Are are please thank you mat kahiye. Yeh toh humara farz hai. Aapki prathna aur pyaar ne hi Abhira ko theek kiya hai." Doctor said and left from there patting his shoulder.

Here, Ruhi looked all shocked and tensed seeing Armaan's worry for Abhira.

"Armaan, Armaan." She said from other side.

Armaan looked at the phone and kept it back on his ear.

"Haa bolo?" He asked.

"Tum itni fikar kar rahe ho Abhira ki. Esa kyu? Kya sach mein tum us...use apni pa...patni manane lage ho?" She asked with tears.

"Ruhi, Abhira meri responsibility hai. Bhale hi ek saal ke liye hi shai par uska khayal rakhne vaada kiya hai maine Akshara Mam se. Aur chahe meri jaan bhi kyu naa chali jaaye, mai Abhira ka khayal rakhunga. Aur haa mujhe uski bohot fikar hai." Armaan said

Ruhi looked at the phone in shock, "Yeh tum kya keh rahe ho. Aur ese kaise baat kar rahe ho. Aur Abhira kaha tumhari real wali wife hai jo tum use wife bula rahe ho."

"Abhira meri patni hai. Phir chahe voh real mein ho yaa yaa phir deal wali ho. Jaise bhi ho. Voh meri wife hai, aur mai apni wife ka khayal rakhlunga. Tumhari koi jarurat nahi hai yaha." Armaan said in a stern voice.

"Armaan, tum kyu aise react kar rahe ho? Abhira toh tumhari real wife nahi hai," Ruhi said, trying to reason with him.

"Ruhi, mujhe pata hai Abhira meri real wife nahi hai, lekin abhi tak hum pati-patni hai aur mujhe uska khayal rakhna hai," Armaan replied, his tone firm.

"Lekin Armaan, tumne toh khud kaha tha ki tumhari aur Abhira ki shadi temporary hai. Tumne toh kaha tha ki yeh sirf kagazi rishta hai," Ruhi argued.

"Haan, lekin abhi tak hum pati-patni hai. Aur jab tak humare beech mein kuch bhi hai, main uska khayal rakhunga," Armaan insisted.

"Armaan, tumhe sachai se samna karna hoga. Yeh rishta temporary hai. Tumhe Abhira ka khayal rakhne ki koi zimmedari nahi hai," Ruhi said.

"Ruhi, mujhe pata hai ki yeh rishta temporary hai. Lekin phir bhi, abhi tak hum pati-patni hai. Aur mujhe uska khayal rakhna hai. So please abhi Mera dimaag mat kharab karo. Aur tum yaha nahi aaogi. Mai yaha koi tamasha nahi chahta." Armaan said angrily and cut the call.

Armaan, feeling conflicted and frustrated, paced back and forth in the hospital waiting area. He looked at the door and slowly slowly taking step towards the door, he entered inside.

Armaan went towards the bed and sat on the stool. He looked at her who was looking pale and weak. The oxygen mask attached on her mouth and nose was making Armaan's heart break in million pieces.

He took her hand in his both hands and held it gently. He brought her hand near his lips and kissed her back of the hand softly.

"Abhira, tum theek ho jayegi. Bhagwan se dua hai ki tum jaldi se sehatmand ho jaaye. Tum ese chup bilkul bhi acchi nahi lagti. Please uth jaao, aur jhagda karo mujhse. Mai kuch nahi kahunga tumhe. Tum jo kahogi mai voh karunga. Par please uth jaao." Armaan murmured softly, his heart heavy with worry for her.

"Ple...please Abhira aankhe kholo apni. Ple...please mujhse ba...baat karo, mujhe daanto, maaro, jo kar...karna hai voh karo. Par aankh...ankhein kholo apni. Mai tum....tumhe es....es....ese nahi dekh paa raha hu." Armaan stammered keeping his head on her their hands while crying.

"Kyu....kyu Abhira? Kyu...tumhe yeh sab jhelna pad raha hai?" Armaan's voice quivered with emotion as he spoke to himself. "Main...main kya karu? Tumhare bina...bina sab adhoora lagta hai. Par mai...mai kaise tumhe theek karu? Mujhe...mujhe samajh nahi aa raha hai."

He wiped away his tears, " I am sorry Abh...Abhira for whatever I have done to y....you till now. Please ankhein kholo Abhira. Please."

He looked at her and then again looked at their hands and kissed her hand. Meanwhile the doctors again came and asked him to leave to which he nodded and left.
