- Dark World -
Link and his team had reached the Dark World. They could see Ganondorf's Tower in the distance. They're close to rescuing Zelda.
Link continued to lead the way and walked forward. But he then stopped in his tracks. He immediately felt uneasy. He noticed his shadow had disappeared.
Link looked behind him, and standing right in front of him was his dark doppelgänger, Dark Link, who had trophified Wario, Waluigi and Snake.
Link unsheathed his sword. But at the exact same time, not a second off, Dark Link unsheathed his sword too.
Link thrusted his sword at Dark Link, but he jumped and stood on the Master Sword.
Link looked up at his shadow self in shock. Dark Link then kicked Link in the face. Knocking him down.
Link couldn't just let his own dark side beat him, so he got up.
Link tried slashing at Dark Link, but he slashed at the exact same moment and their swords collided with one another. He was countering every one of Link's attacks. How was Link going to overcome his darkness?
It then occurred to Link that Dark Link only has a sword and shield. This gave Link the idea to use his other weapons that Dark Link doesn't have.
Link pulled out his bow and fired three arrows.
Dark Link used his sword to try to stop the arrows. While he was able to parry two of them, the last arrow ended up hitting him right in the stomach.
Dark Link then ran forward and slashed at Link. But Link used Dark Link's own trick against him and jumped back. Dodging the slash.
Link then pulled out a bomb and threw at at Dark Link. But he shielded himself with his shield and the bomb didn't hurt him.
Link then threw his boomerang at Dark Link, to which he swung away with his sword. But that was Link's plan. The boomerang came flying back and struck Dark Link in the face. Stunning him.
Link ran over, charged his sword, and performed a Spinning Attack on Dark Link.
Dark Link got up, enraged that he was losing this duel.
Dark Link charged at Link with his sword in an attempt to strike him. But Link dodged and he missed.
With Dark Link needing to cooldown, Link quickly pulled out a bomb and threw it at Dark Link. This time, from behind.
Dark Link shrieked before disappearing. Defeated.
Link's shadow had returned. He had done it. He had conquered his dark side. He was feeling more confident than ever before.
Link freed Wario, Waluigi and Snake from their trophy states.
"I take it that dark shadow guy that turned us into trophies is no more?" Snake asked.
Link nodded.
"Good." Snake replied.
The team continued moving forward. Before they know it, they will reach Ganondorf's Tower and save Zelda.
