William's POV
“Sir William, please it wouldn't hurt to try a few drinks.., please please just for a few minutes!”Jason's voice didn't sound strong although he was pleading.
“No, we have to reach home on time”. I disagreed with him. His voice suddenly turned silent.
Jason was my driver, personal assistant and as well as friend who would help me analyze tough situations.
He couldn't resist the temptation of having a drink whenever we passed by a certain bar.
“Would you slow down!?” He was driving at an abnormal speed.
“But sir, didn't you say that we must reach home on time?”, He asked. I knew he had done that on purpose.
He likes showing off his anger on things that can't even fight back.
“Yeah, but not at that speed Jason!”. I sat comfortably, adjusting my seat belt.
He became quiet and drove carefully, but again, he was too slow. “Jason please drive normally”, I said calmly. My back lingering on the seat.
“Sir, you are really confusing”, he said. I gave him a strange look.
“Confusing?”.
“Yeah, you can't go out and have a drink, no partying, no vacation and you are always married to work”, I couldn't believe Jason's brub.
“Why would I go out partying if I have lots of work at the office?”.
“And how does your brother Albert manage to party and work at the same time?” He asked and I didn't know how to answer that question.
“Jason, would you concentrate on driving!”,My voice was cold.
“Yes sir William, sorry”, he concentrated on driving.
He drove in silence and we were a few meters away from home. Suddenly I heard a sharp sound from my East.
When I looked at my East through the window, I couldn't see anything that would produce that sound.
“Sir, did you hear that!?”Jason also heard. When he drove for a few seconds, the sound became more clear.
It was in front of the car. I saw a woman in a black dress and she was shouting for help.
“Help me!”.
Jason went out of the car first before me. He approached the woman and asked her what was wrong.
Before she could answer, I got out of the car as well. “Help me please!”, The woman uttered the same words.
She ran into Jason's arms and passed out. I ran towards Jason. “Sir, let's take her to the hospital!”Jason ' scared voice reached my ears.
I lifted the woman and took her in the car while Jason followed behind. “Let's go Jason!”.
“To the nearest hospital nearby!”.
“Yes sir!" he began driving. I looked at the woman carefully, trying to figure out what had happened to her.
She had some blood clots in her black hair. I turned her face in my direction to spot the wound.
Suddenly I felt like this woman was going through something difficult. Her outfit showed off her skin.
As I looked at her face, she had beautiful eye rushes reflected beautifully by her closed eye rids. her lips were full and She didn't appear to put any cosmetics.
I didn't realize that I had been staring at her for so long until Jason's voice startled me.
“Sir William, we have reached!”.
The car was right in front of the hospital. I took the lady out of the car. “Don't just Stand there Jason?, Call the doctor inside!.
“Yes sir!. He ran inside the hospital. Couldn't wait but took the lady inside the hospital.
“Doctor!Nurse!”Jason called, and the attending doctor reached out to us.
“What happened to her?, Asked the doctor.
“We don't know, we just found her by the road!”, We took the lady in the room when the doctor instructed.
We laid her down on the bed. “Okay now let me conduct tests on her!” The doctor told us to wait outside the room.
Jason and I waited patiently outside The hospital Ward. It was really getting cold and darker. I looked at my clock and it was 11:20 pm.
It was almost turning into another day, I had a lot of things to do at the office. Luckily the doctor came out to us on time.
“It's done!Please wait a little bit for the test results”, said the doctor as he approached us. “Alright doctor”.
“Okay, we have to wait for her to wake up, and tell us who she is and how she got injured..”, i looked at the doctor as he stood in front of us.
“By the way am doctor Marcus coiz..”, he reached his hand for a hand shake.
“William Anderson '', we shook hands.
“Jason Marino here!”, Jason introduced himself.
“Alright let me go back and observe her situation”, the doctor went in the direction of the room where the lady was.
“Doctor! Doctor!”, Suddenly we heard the nurse shout. Could it be something wrong with the lady we brought in. The nurse was breathing heavily.
“The patient is not in the room!”, The nurse said. I decided to go where she was. “What happened, nurse?, Couldn't wait to ask her.
Doctor Marcus ran to the room right away and we followed him behind. When we opened the door, the room was empty. The lady we served left.
We panicked to search every corner of the hospital but there were no traces of her. Weird isn't it?.
“Sir William, where could that lady go?" Jason asked as we got exhausted from searching the entire hospital.
“I don't know Jason, but we tried our best to serve her.., now let's Head home”, there was nothing else I could do.
We left the hospital and went home, we were only a few meters away from home and I had some kind of fatigue.
Jason drove quietly, I could see the exhaustion on his face. Couldn't hope but recall what happened to that lady.
Could it be that she was being chased by the police?, I sighed heavily.
Finally we had reached home, it was quiet and Everyone could be sleeping.
“Good night sir!”.
“Goodnight!”Jason went straight to his room downstairs. I had to use my own spare key to open the door.
I rushed to my bedroom upstairs, the fatigue couldn't give me a chance to change into my night wear, I pulled the blanket and went into its warmth.
I left my alarm on and fell into a deep sleep.

It was already morning. My alarm woke me up, it was 6am. I still felt some fatigue but then I couldn't entertain it. I had to deal with the toughest clients I had ever met.
I texted Jason “get the car ready in the next 30 minutes”. But he didn't reply, could he be sleeping?.
I walked into the bathroom to shower. Before I got into the shower, I stopped by the dressing mirror. That lady of last night came into my mind. But then I had no time to think about that.
I showered and went right in front of my wardrobe. I needed to look more formal because our client was one of the richest.
I chose my white long sleeve shirt and navy blue jacket. Usually goes pretty well with my black shoes. I was done in no time and went downstairs.
“It seems like the sharp guy overslept tonight!”, I heard Albert's teasing voice from the dining table.
He was having breakfast with mom so early. I ignored him and went right where mom was sitting. “Good morning Mom!”, I greeted.
“Morning son, sit down, have breakfast with us!”, Mom suggested. But I had no time to dine.
“Am sorry mom, I will join you next time”, I said.
“It's alright, but make sure to eat something when you reach!”.
“Yeah mom, take care!”, I left a kiss on her forehead. I went outside.
“Sir, bad news!”I heard Jason's voice in front of me. He looked like he had lost something important.
“What happened Jason?”He looked tense.
“I received a call that Mona had an accident and died last night!”His voice carried heavy emotions this time.
“What!”. I was shocked. Mona was my personal secretary working on the project that was important.
The news of her death silenced my determination.
