Kendalls POV
After that whole fiasco we all lingered around the food court for a bit and a couple of the guys went after Cara and Bryan to see what was up.
We were all kind of over the park at this point and were all ready to go..we've literally been here all day
"This was so much fun" i say as me and Ray walk side by side, out of the park in the group
"Yeah.. im glad you came" he admits
"I almost didnt" i say as he takes my hand in his and i feel the electricity surge between us..
he goes to say something to me before Georgia interrupts us by asking if im still riding with them home.
"Oh.. uh-Yeah i-"
"Let me take you home" he offers as i look back to him.. intrigued by his offer..
Some alone time couldnt hurt..
"If.. thats okay with your brother of course" he says as i laugh a bit
"Thank you so much Georgia, but i'll ride with Ray" i tell her, hugging her as she nods
"No problem." She says into the hug before holding me tighter to say "have fun" she says suggestively as i pull apart laughing
We were planning to stay till the park closed but its only 7, so.. Chris isnt expecting me back for quite some time..
'Give him a chance, kendall. You dont know what he will allow or what he will freak out about cause you never give him the opportunity' i hear my annoying therapists voice in my head before rolling my eyes to myself as we walk towards Ray's car, hand in hand
Fine.. ill ask
"Actually.." i start "Ray, do you mind if i call chris real quick.. let him know the plan" i say, reluctantly
"Oh yeah no problem.." he says getting the door for me before i get in his car
I click my brothers contact and call his phone as Ray daps up one of his friends outside the car who waves to me, before leaving with eachother and he heads back over to the driver side
"Hey ken, hows it going. You okay?" Chris picks up, almost immediately as i laugh a bit
"Yeah.. everything's good" i start, looking to Ray to see him still talking to the guys while standing outside the door and laughing about something "um.. we're all about to leave now" i say to him
"Oh.. oh okay.. i told you, you guys wouldnt want to stay there all day" he laughs "you wore yourself out didnt you" he says as i laugh
"Yes, yes, you were right. Im exhausted " i agree, playing with the ripped part of my jeans, bracing myself to ask him "i um.. i wanted to ask something.. actually.. d-do you.." i start, clearing my throat "do you remember Ray" i say to him
"Ray?" He asks "ray.. ray.. ray.. OH-yeah ofcourse.. i havent heard about him in a while what happened to him?"
"Oh.. um nothing.. we just... didnt end up..but-ugh, anyway um" i start, deciding not to get into the details "well h-he was here today and um.. well now we did um.. end up.. reconnecting .. and.. and um.. he wants to drive me home" i say cautiously and carefully not trying to alarm him.
He just stays quiet
"So you two still like each other and he wants to bring you to our house from the park?" He clarifies as i nervously nod as if he can see me, biting my inner cheek
"Y-yeah?" i finally admit, cautiously "please chris" i say, worried by his silence as Ray gets in the car, still laughing a bit as i fan his shoulder to get him to quiet down as he immediately stiffens up, realizing im still on the phone and closing the door as he gets in.
"Yeah.. thats fine.." he says easily as my eyes widen and i smile, looking to Ray and nodding as he silently cheers "uh.. tell him to drive safe.. and slow.. dont rush to get back okay you guys have quite the drive to get back out here..especially with this weather" he says as i smile looking to Ray
"Thank you! Okay, i'll tell him"
"Do it while im on the phone" he instructs as i roll my eyes
"Chris said you have to drive safe" i tell him as he laughs
"Ofcourse i will, precious cargo. No worries Chris i'll protect her with my life" he says out loud as chris mutters a 'mmhmm' as i laugh a bit
"Alright.. yall make sure yall not out too late.. let me know the ETA" he says
"Ofcourse.. thank you"
Rays POV
"Yes... yes chris" she says trying to get him to hang up "yes christian thank you, okay love you too-yes ofcourse.. okay see you, bye" she says before hanging up on him as i start up the car
"Well would you look at that" i start
"Im actually really surprised he said its fine" she says, tapping away on her phone
"Im surprised you even asked him.. i feel like you used to be so scared and secretive before..towards him i mean" i admit to her
From what i could tell from before.. he was super overbearing and she would keep stuff from him.. i dont know if one triggered the other or what but.. things seem a little different now.
"Yeah.. we've um.. we've really grown a lot closer recently" she admits
"Yeah?"
"Yeah.. recently we've been working with a um.." start starts, insecurely "a-a therapist.. " she says not making eye contact with me "we have therapy sessions and she has us working on the broken parts of our relationship.. i think its really been helping" she admits as i smile just staring at her
"Thats really great.." i tell her "im proud of you guys.." i say as she looks up to me surprised at my response "what made you want to start?" I ask her as she thinks
"Well he brought it up" she starts, talking a little more freely now that i guess she gauged my reaction. "I had no idea we could even be like this.. i thought there was no hope" she laughs as do i

We spent the entire hour and a half car ride talking about everything we've basically missed with each other and catching up. The ride was smooth since the rain had stopped.
I am enjoying getting to really know her.. since we didnt really get much of a chance last time..
Once we finally start to become within 15 minutes of her house i suggest we maybe stop for some ice cream.. our conversation is going so well and i must admit, im not ready to say goodnight
"Sure lets go" she smiles as i get off the exit to head towards the Baskin Robbins thats nearby.
Kendalls POV
He pulls into the parking lot and goes to get out the car before i stop him
"Wait" i say as he looks to me "Rock paper scissors, loser has to pay for ice cream" i challenge him as he laughs
"I'll pay anyway"
"You're probably right.. im gonna beat you anyway but we still have to do this" i say, laughing
"Yeah we'll see" he faces his body towards me, balling his fist up to play
"On shoot"
"Okay" he says as we chant 'Rock Paper Scissors, shoot!' I say throwing out scissors and he throws out rock "Wait!! Wait wait wait wait"
"You lost!"
"No no no, its rock paper scissors SAYS shoot"
"No it doesn't SAY anything, you just lost" i say, getting out the car, laughing
"Thats cheating, who just says shoot" he says from inside, getting out as well as we both laugh "you're a cheater" he jogs up to the door to open it for me as i blush a bit, still laughing and going inside and feeling all the butterflies tingling and flying all around in my stomach
I like him so much.. almost.. too much
I look around, giddily as if i dont know what i want as he says hello to the guy behind the counter, and walking up to the ice cream window as i look at the cakes in the fridge
"Ken" he holds his hand out for me adorably as a huge stupid smile takes over my face and i do a little skip to get over to him and hold his hand in mine "what do you want?" He looks over everything as i lean against his shoulder
"Um.. can i get one scoop of rocky road and one scoop of vanilla bean in a cup?"
"Boring.." he teases as i poke his side and he holds back laughter "You dont want a cone?" He looks down to me as i look up to him and shake my head, feeling very small next to him
"Alright thats all for her, can i get a double scoop of mint chocolate chip, drizzled with hot fudge and whipped cream"
"Ooh.. i want caramel and hot fudge too please" i add in as the guy nods
"Thanks man" he says before we walk over to the other side of the quiet baskin robbins x dunkin and leave the guy to make the sundaes in peace
We sit at one of the tables and just play with eachothers fingers
"You're cute you know that?" He says to me as i giggle a bit
"You're cute too" i say to him as he glances down to my lips before looking to see what the guy is doing and getting up to lean over and kiss me quickly on the lips
'What a tease..' i mouth as he sits back down, smiling with his cute dimpled face
"Ready" the guy says as Ray gets up and gives him a twenty, telling him to keep the change.

We're at my house now but parked right out front. We've finished our ice cream and now we're just listening to some r&b song he put on..
He is so fucking sexy.. i literally want to jump his bones right here but i unfortunately cant do that here..
"I should say goodnight but i dont wanna go" i say, as we lay with our seats reclined and facing each other in his car
"I'll call you" he says cooly, his voice so sexy and his demeanor so chill
"Yeah?" I bite my lip a bit
"Yeah" he leans a bit to grab my hand "come here girl" he says as i sit up to eagerly lean into him as he closes the gap and kisses me, keeping a slight tug on my arm to pull me closer to him.
We continuously peck each other before i bite his bottom lip a bit, adjusting myself in my seat to get closer access to him
He smiles into the kiss before asserting his dominance over my tongue and putting his hand behind the nape of my neck, and i follow his lead, excited to see where this goes, my hand finds its way to his pants and he immediately stops me by pulling back, and laughing a bit, out of breath
"Woah.. kendall" he says as i breath heavily as well
"Sorry" i apologize, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear
"N-no, its..im sorry.. i just" he starts as i continue to catch my breath "we're right in front of your house" he says jokingly as i glance to my house, laughing a bit "and i dont want to rush you" he admits, more seriously "i dont want our first time to be... in a car" he motions as my heart just wells up with emotion "i really like you.. and... i want it to be special.." he says as i smile to him, leaning into kiss him again, more intensely this time, and damn near getting on top of him
I just couldn't help myself.
