two yellow Naboo starfighters escort a sleek cruiser toward the atmosphere of Coruscant
a third fighter tails it as the mothership banks 180 degrees
its silver hull gleams in the light of a nearby sun.
on board an officer faces a figure with stiff brown hair.
Officer:"senator, we're making our final approach into Coruscant"
Senator:"very good, lieutenant"
shadows of the arriving ships glide over the clouds and thin streams of vapor trail from the cruiser's wingtips.
several gleaming super towers poke above the cloud cover before them.
the boomerang shaped cruiser pierces the mist as it banks between two spires.
landing gear extends from its underside.
one Star Fighter settles on a platform
as the cruiser lands its pond shaped engines built seamlessly into the wings each glow with a ring of blue energy.
nearby a slight framed pilot climbs down from the Star Fighter.
two vertical arms lower the ship's dome headed R2 droid
nearby a second fighter pilot removes his helmet.
Pilot:"we made it"
at the cruiser the senator and her escorts descend the ramp.
Pilot:"I guess I was wrong there was no danger at all"
The cruiser explodes, and the blast levels approach the senator and her aides, throwing the two pilots back
as the cruiser snaps flying debris sends a starfighter plummeting off its pad.
the two starfighter pilots scramble over
the slide framed one removes her helmet
it's Padmé.
she kneels by her wounded decoy
Decoy:"so sorry I failed you, senator"
Padmé:"no"
the male pilot approaches Padme
Pilot:"my lady, you're still in danger here"
Padmé backs away from her servant
Padmé:"I shouldn't have come back"
Pilot:"this vote is very important
you did your duty Corde did hers
now come"
Padmé stays still
Pilot:"Senator Amidala, please"
nodding faintly she accompanies the pilot across the debris strewn landing pad.

later Chancellor Palpatine meets with several Jedi Knights including Yoda and Mace Windu
Palpatine:"I don't know how much longer I can hold off the vote, my friends"
Palpatine:"more and more star systems are joining the separatists"
Windu:"if they do break away--"
Palpatine:"I will not let this Republic
that has stood for a thousand years be split in two my negotiations will not fail"
Windu:"if they do you must realize there aren't enough Jedi to protect the Republic we're keepers of the peace not soldiers"
Palpatine:"Master Yoda, do you think it will really come to war?"
Yoda:"Hmm, the dark side clouds everything impossible to see the future is"
a hologram appears
Hologram*In huttese* "the Loyalist Committee has arrived your honor"
Palpatine:"good, send them in"
Palpatine:"we will discuss this matter later"
Padmé and her entourage enter the room
Windu stays seated while yoda greets them.
Yoda:"Senator Amidala, your tragedy on the landing platform terrible"
Yoda:"seeing you alive brings warm feelings to my heart"
Padmé:"do you have any idea who's behind this attack?"
Windu:"our intelligence points to disgruntled spice miners on the moons of Naboo"
Padmé:"I think that Count Dooku is behind it"
Ki Adi Mundi:"he is a political idealist not a murderer"
Windu:"you know, milady Count Dooku was once a Jedi he couldn't assassinate anyone it's not in his character"
Yoda:"hmm but for certain Senator in grave danger you are"
Palpatine:"Master Jedi, may I suggest the senator be placed under the Protection of your graces?"
Padmé:"Chancellor if I may comment I do not believe ---"
Palpatine:"the situation is that serious? no but I do senator"
Palpatine:"I realize all too well that additional security might be disruptive for you but perhaps someone you're familiar with an old friend like Master Kenobi"
Padmé's eyes widen as she heard that name.
Windu:"that's possible he's just returned from a border dispute on Ansion"
Palpatine:"do it for me milady please the thought of losing you is unbearable"
Windu:"I will have Obi Wan report to you immediately milady"
Padmé:"thank you, Master Windu"

on a massive tower a capsule shaped elevator rises
inside Y/n stands with Anakin and Obi Wan
Obi wan:"you seem a little on edge, Y/n"
Y/n:"not at all"
Obi Wan:"I haven't felt you this tense since we fell into that nest of gundarks"
Y/n:"you fell into that nightmare, master and we rescued you remember?"
Obi Wan:"oh... yes"
The trio shares a chuckle.
Obi Wan:"you're sweating relax take a deep breath"
Y/n:"I haven't seen her in 10 years, Master"
He stares off a thin braid trails from his short hair to his shoulder just like with anakin
meanwhile Jar Jar Binks exits a spacious pastel suite his long ears flop as he strides toward the elevator.
he greets the Jedi
Jar Jar:"Obi? Obi! Mesa so smilen to seein yousa!"
Obi Wan:"good to see you again Jar Jar"
Jar Jar:"Senator Padmé!"
As she turns around from the balcony they approach her.
Jar Jar:"mesa palos here! lookie lookie senator desa Jedi arriven"
Padme smiles beside two of her aids
Obi Wan bows.
Obi Wan:"it's a great pleasure to see you again milady" he greets her while Y/n stays back still, in nervousness and in awe.
Padmé:"it has been far too long, Master Kenobi"
Padmé eyes Obi Wan's apprentices and blushes slightly as she notices Y/n
Padmé:"Y/n? Ani? my goodness you've both grown"
Y/n slowly steps forward to her, overwhelmed with Her beauty and being in her presence again.
He gives Padmé small smile.
Y/n:"so have you grown more beautiful, i mean"
her smile flaters at his words.
Y/n:"well f-for a senator I mean" He said, trying to recover from his slip up.
He takes a deep breath as she lets out a nervous laugh.
Padmé:"You've also grown beautiful for a padawan" She said to him as he smiles back at her
she turns around to sit on the couch and Jar Jar sits down beside of her
Obi Wan:"our presence here will be invisible my lady, I can assure you" He said as he, Y/n and Anakin made their way to sit on the couch across from Them
Typho:"I'm Captain Typho of her Majesty's Security Service Queen Jamilla has been informed of your assignment"
Typho:"I am grateful you're here,
Master Kenobi the situation is more dangerous than the senator will admit"
Padmé:"I don't need more security I need answers I wanna know who's trying to kill me"
Obi Wan:"we're here to protect you, senator not to start an investigation"
Anakin:"we will find out who's trying to kill you, Padmé I promise"
Obi Wan:"we will not exceed our mandate, my young Padawan learner"
Anakin:"I meant it in the interest of protecting her, master of course"
Anakin:"we will not go through this exercise again, Anakin and you will pay attention to my lead"

Padmé:"perhaps with merely your presence the mystery surrounding this threat will be revealed"

they all rise with Padmé

She walks to her bedroom
Typho:"I know I'll feel better having you here I'll have an officer stationed on every floor and I'll be in the control center downstairs" he said to obi wan.
as typho leaves Jar Jar faces Anakin and Y/n.
Jar Jar:"Mesa busten wit happines seein yousa again Y/n, Ani"
Y/n:"she's so beautiful jar jar even more the last time i saw her"
Obi Wan:"be mindful of your thoughts, y/n.. now let's check the security"

It's night time as a woman exits an air speeder on a wide ledge beside glowing billboards.
she approaches a man in gray armor
Womam:"I hit the ship but they used a decoy"
Man:"we'll have to try something more subtle this time, Zam my client is getting impatient take these"
He hands her a tube with contains two fat centipede like creatures.
Man:"be careful they're very poisonous"
Man:"and Zam, there can be no mistakes this time" he said in a stern voice
Zam covers her face with a scarf and leaves.
now in Padmé's Suite Obi wan Approaches Anakin and Y/n
Obi Wan:"Captain Typho has more than enough men downstairs no assassin would try that way"
Obi Wan:"any activity up here?"
Anakin:"quiet as a tomb"
Y/n:"I don't like just waiting here for something to happen to her"
Obi Wan hears R2 beeping.
Obi Wan:"what's going on?"
Y/n:"Ah, she covered the cameras I don't think she liked Us watching her"
Obi Wan:"what is she thinking?"
Y/n:"she programmed R2 to warn us if there is an intruder"
in Padmé's bedroom the senator sleeps as green security lasers sweep the floor around her bed.
Obi Wan:"There are many other ways to kill a senator"
Y/n:"I know but we also want to catch this assassin don't we, master?"
Obi Wan eyes Him Wearily
Obi Wan:"you're using her as bait"
Y/n:"it was her idea i trust her..
don't worry no harm will come to her we can sense everything going on in that room"
Y/n:"trust us"
Obi Wan:"it's too risky besides, your senses aren't that attuned, my young apprentices"
Anakin:"and yours are?"
Obi Wan turns and levels his gaze on Anakin.

back on the ledge Zam inserts the footlong tube into the nose of an assassin droid.
the spherical craft with two crescent shaped fins pivots in midair then flies off.

back at Padmè's Suite Anakin and Y/n gaze at the cityscape
Obi Wan:"you both look tired"
Anakin:"I don't sleep well anymore"
Y/n:"because of mom?"
Anakin meets Y/n's gaze then gives a hesitant nod
he looks down pensively and y/n lightly pats his shoulder.
Anakin:"I don't know why I keep dreaming about her"
Obi Wan purses his lips then approaches Anakin
Obi Wan:"dreams pass in time and what about you y/n?" He said as they walk along the suite.
Y/n:"I keep dreaming of Padmé Dying i don't want to lose her just being around her again is... intoxicating"
Obi Wan:"be mindful of your thoughts, Y/n they betray you"
Obi Wan:"you've made a commitment to the Jedi Order, a commitment not easily broken"
Obi Wan:"and don't forget she's a politician and they're not to be trusted"
Y/n:"she's not like the others in the Senate, Master"
Meanwhile in the bedroom the shadow of the assassin droid drifts across Padmé's sleeping form
the droid hovers outside Padmé's window as R2 stands watching in the shadows.
the windows horizontal blinds obscure the droids form.
using a laser beam the droid traces a bright rectangle in the glass then cuts a hole in the center.
as R2 stands unaware the tube slides in releasing the two fat centipede like creatures.
the footlong insects slither across the floor under the green security beams
in her bed pale moonlight falls across Padmé's sleeping face.
one insect crawls onto the beds low wooden platform and along the side of her mattress.
Suddenly R2 beeps and lights up
the insect stops as R2's domed head turns slowly and scans the room with a spotlight.
He doesn't see the insects and as his lights dim both insects climb onto the mattress.
dozens of thin black legs propel their worm like bodies across the pink fabric
Back with Obi Wan, Anakin and Y/n
Anakin:"and besides your generalizing the Chancellor doesn't appear to be corrupt"
Obi Wan:"Palpatine is a politician I have observed that he is very clever in following the passions and prejudices of the senators"
Y/n:"I think he's a good man my---" He said when both Obi-Wan and him felt a disturbance in the Force.
Y/n quickly Turns around and looks towards Padmé's room.
Obi Wan:"I sense it too" He said worriedly as he and Y/n run to her room followed by anakin
as the two insects creep toward Padme's serene face, Y/n leaps in.
he slices the insects in half
and the pieces hit the wall.
Padmé wakes and Obi Wan spots the assassin droid hovering at the window.
he dives through the glass and grabs hold as it flies away.
Y/n:"stay here"
He and Anakin dash out the door
