Sitting at the table with all my friends around it felt nearly impossible with her on my mind.
"Fuck" I mumbled then biting my bottom lip as my fist tightened around my water cup.
" What's wrong?" Robbie leaned in to ask me as though he was concerned.
"Nothing." I said as I pushed back my chair. "I'll be back alright? If I'm not back by the time you guys are ready to leave just go without me"
"Whatever you say"
Zipping up my jacket and putting on my helmet, I check the time on my phone. 11:45 am. Hopefully I'll notice her walking back to work on my bike. I pulled up the kickstand and started up the bike.
I aimlessly rode down the road at hopes that I was going the right way.
"What the fuck am I doing. I don't even know her name." I spoke to myself the whole time I cruised down town;for whatever reason hoping to see her just one more time.
