THE TWO GIRLS SAT ON THE SOFA AS
lani embraced the younger girl in a long, warm hug.
yana honestly couldn't stop crying and dealing with
the break was gonna be much harder for her
she LOVED jah with her whole fucking heart.

yana's phone repeatedly went off as she gently let
go of a worried Lani before wiping her eyes,
looking at her phone which sat on her lap.
"YOU HAVE BEEN MENTIONED IN @YAMII.L'S STORY!"
yana furrowed her eyebrows, why was she mentioned
in her BEST FRIEND'S story if yami was all the
way in chigago? she hesitated before she hovered
her thumb over the notification
yami and her met at school. they were terribly close
until 6th grade, they stopped hanging out with each
-other and yana just thought they "grew apart"
but once they got older they started hanging out
again. Realising how much they NEEDED eachother.
yana told yami everything. after all she was her best right?
yana's mouth grew apart once she landed on
yami's PUBLIC insta story. not only has jah chea
-ted on yana with some random female, but he
just HAD to hook up with yami, also.now don't get me wrong, yami knew damn well how
much yana LOVED jah. how he was her first love
and shit, but that didn't stop her from deadass
posting a stop motion of her and jah kissing.
"what happened?" Lani quizzed worriedly seeing
her cousins facial expressions change. yana was hurt,
but she was also confused more than ANYTHING.
she was a soft spoken person, she'd put
people before herself, she loved all her friends
equally and was ALWAYS mad bubbly
a smile was always drawn on her face showing of
her gems and cute dimples. she was always friend
-ly to others even if u we're a complete stranger.
and she was ALWAYS forgiving, she thought
everyone deserved a second chance, so why did she
deserve this? all this hatred and pure evilness for
what?
yana's soft sobs were heard throughout the house
as she once again sobbed into her cousins
arms. "what did I do wrong lani?" she sobbed
whilst holding onto lani. this honestly broke
lani's heart. yana blamed HERSELF for all this
mess. she thought maybe she wasn't a good
friend or a good girlfriend.
"you didn't do anything ya, some people are just
cold hearted my love." lani responded before
looking down at yana's phone, "and weird too."
lani added with a mug displayed, seeing yami layed up with jah.
"cmon ya, I know it's hard but move on. you'll
regret spending the last few years of being a teen
-ager just crying ova a nigga who is weird as fuck.
you gotta let him go my heart." lani rubbed
yana's bag whilst tears ran down the heartbroken
girl's cheeks.
yana stopped eating, stopped going on social
media, and barely even had the slightest energy
to get up in the morning.
she questioned her will to live.
all because of jah. all because of a boy who didn't
give a single shit about her, all because of a boy
who couldn't even care enough to say "sorry"
not that it would change anything tho.
yana nodded, listening to lani's advice whilst pulling
out of the hug. she sniffed, "thank you lani, i
don't know what Id do without you"
yana lost one of her trusted friends, yes that
shattered her broken heart, but the fact that yami
couldn't even be there for her and had to kiss
jah? shit, you a bop.
she was ever so grateful to have lani.
"aight stop crying fr now, les order some donuts!"
lani suggested whilst hopping out of her seat
to grab her phone which laid on the counter.
she unlocked her phone whilst making her way
back to her seat, going on the app
KRISPY CREME. yana nodded her head sati
-sfied with the suggestion
yana loveddd donuts especially those strawberry
ones with the jam fillings.
"you want the strawberry one rii?" lani quizzed,
already knowing the answer. she KNEW her cousin better than anyone fr fr. yana nodded
whilst a small smile appeared on her face.
she was deadass trying so hard not to think of the yami and jah situation rn or else she'll
burst into tears, quite literally.
yana wiped her dried tears before reaching for her phone where she got her card out from her
phone case. "girl whatchu doinnn?" lani quickly
exclaimed putting down yana's card
"payi-" - "girl bye lemme pay, this my treat
for you aii?" lani cut her off with a smile
drawn. lani pulled her card out before quickly writing out the details so she could pay for the
donuts. in seconds the donuts was set out for
deliver.
"thank you laniiii, you didn't have to." yana
whined feeling bad already.
SUDDENLY, kelani's phone begun going off
making Lani quickly grab it, placing the phone
close to her ear"nigga quit blowing up my phone, dd." lani spat with a smile displayed
on her face. "ai maybe, ion know yet" lani replied
to the boy whose name was "dd"
once kelani ended the call after saying her good
-byes she immediately turned to yana. "yaaa, you
know that boy I been ranting to you about? dd?
yeah he want me to meet him in da park
you wanna come tinka?" lani quizzed, "you gotta
get out of da house my heart. dd said he bringin
his brother too" lani added making yana roll
her eyes jokingly, "aii I'll come, but I ain't hook
-ing up wit some random nigga" she playfully
mugged.
