Reputation accidently didn't wake up on time and she was very late, so she tried to get ready as fast as she could. She decided to try and look good for school so she picked the best outfit she could. She picked out black cargo pants and a dark red top. She did her makeup very simple and then went to her car.
When Reputation arrived at school, Lover couldn't stop staring at her. She thought about how much she misses Reputation even though they weren't friends for very long. She thought about how pretty Reputation was. She thought about how much she loved Reputation, more than anyone in the world. She also thought about the fact that Reputation hated her now, Folklore noticed that Lover was staring at Reputation pretty fast, it was pretty clear. So she decided to walk up to Reputation. "Are you sure you don't want to make up with Lover? She's literally staring at you." Folklore explained. "Yeah, fuck that, I don't care" Reputation said, not even looking in the direction of Lover. "Reputation she really misses you, maybe you should just hear her side" Folklore said, trying to get Reputation to show some kind of emotion. Folklore was a very good listener, but she could also sense things about people very well. She immediately noticed that Reputation wanted to forgive Lover, but she just couldn't. "Just try maybe? She's really sorry, and it doesn't sound like something she would do.." Folklore said. "What are you trying to do here? I'm not gonna forgive her, so if that's the only thing you wanted to say to me then you should go, right now." Reputation said, it hurt her to say something like that to Folklore, who did nothing to her. And even though what Reputation said wasn't even that mean, it still made her feel bad.
Folklore had this thing with people, she could make them feel bad without doing anything, she could make them feel guilty for bad things they did just by looking at them, she was just very nice to people, which made them want to be nice to her too. So she was the best person to talk to when something had happened. She wasn't the best talker, though she had great advice. But she was a very good listener and she could listen to people talk for hours.
Folklore came up to Lover. "You should probably stop staring, Lover.." Folklore said next to her. "I know... but she's so beautiful.. Fuck what did she do to me I can't fall in love with someone like her, they're the kind that break people's heart, all she tried to do was hurt me from the begining anyways." Lover said, trying to sound stubborn, though it didn't work that well. "Lover.. Don't get me wrong, I'm on your side, she should listen to you but I'm just saying.. She kinda saw you making out with someone else.. I kinda understand her. And you don't know that she's the kind that breaks people's hearts." Folklore explained, calmly and softly. She knew how to talk with emotional people, actually, she knew how to talk with everyone. "I also saw her making out with someone, yesterday, with her ex. And I do know she is that kind, like, just look at her, that's exactly the kind that does that" Lover said quietly. "Well, I'm really sorry, for the both of you, I hope it will be fixed soon. And don't judge her like that, you're just hurt, and it's totally okay for you to be a little mad, she slapped you, I mean I wouldn't be happy if it happened to me." Folklore said, trying to reassure Lover that everything will be alright. "What? She never slapped me." Lover said, confused, before she realized that's what Reputation was talking about. "Huh? But everyone knows that she slapped yo-" "Where'd you hear that from?" Lover said, cutting off Folklore. "Everyone knows that happened though"
Lover kept looking at Reputation the entire day, on lunch break, Lover noticed Reputation going to her locker, she also got an invitation. Lover was somehow happy, she thought that maybe if she looked her best Reputation would forgive her and take her back, so after school Lover ran home to start getting ready. She might've had four hours, but she thought it wasn't enough. Though a second before she got home, she got a call from her half-friend, Fearless. Fearless was Speak now's sister, so when Fearless asked Lover if she wanted to get ready at their house, Lover thought it would actually be a great idea because she can't be late. Lover went to her house and picked an outfit, she picked a red top with pink hearts all over it and a dark blue skirt. She gathered some makeup and hair products and went to Fearless' house.
When she arrived she saw that the house was half ready already from the outside, she knocked and fearless opened up. She was clearly not ready yet so she led Lover to her room. In fearless room there was another girl, she looked basically the same as fearless but a little younger. "Lover, this is my younger sister, Debut. Debut, this is my friend Lover." Fearless introduced the two girls to each other. "Nice to meet you!" Lover said excitedly, though she didn't get the same energy back. Debut just nodded and waved her hand, then got back to what she was doing.
The girls got ready, it took them quite a while actually, but they were ready just in time. The entire time Speak now was making sure the party was good, she was stressing out more than anyone else there, though Lover thought it was impossible to be more nervous and stressed than herself. She was still trying to make Reputation forgive her, she knew that if Reputation didn't forgive her soon, she might as well give up and disappear forever, in her mind it wasn't worth living if Reputation wasn't with her. so she hoped that something would happen. But then she got annoyed, her entire life she gave herself one rule; never get too close to someone. She always found the good in people, and she had many friends in her old life before she moved to the city. Even them wasn't as close as Reputation was to her. Something about Reputation made Lover want her so much the second she saw her. She knew that the school she in had bullied her for years, so from the beginning she was scared, but after a while she broke the border between being scared to really liking someone and letting them get close to her. The second she did that she got hurt, and she hurt someone too. She started thinking, maybe she was in the wrong. Obviously she didn't mean to do that, and it was very forced, but she still felt very bad about it. She thought about getting stronger, if she was stronger she could've pushed the girl off of her before anything happened, but now it was too late, Reputation hated her and with how much she wanted to fix it, she just didn't know how. She was devastated but didn't show it, today is supposed to be fun. It will be fun.
"Fearless, how many people are invited to this part exactly?" Debut asked from outside the bathroom. "Too much!" Fearless yelled. "Number" Debut demanded. "More than 600, to be honest, drew might come too." Fearless said and debut eyes lit up. "Wait seriously?" She started jumping all around the room. "Who's drew?" Lover asked fearless. "Debut's first kiss, her crush, and the boy she's been dreaming about since preschool." Fearless explained and Lover nodded. "He's the best boy ever" Debut yelled from outside again. "To be honest I expected you all to be gay" Lover said a bit jokingly. "I mean, all of us are except debut." Fearless said before continuing. "Doesn't he have a girlfriend now?" She said, hoping to make Debut sad. "Shhhh let me dream" Debut said quieter now.
"We should head downstairs now" Fearless said and the other girls nodded. Lover gathered all of her stuff into her bag and kept it in fearless room before leaving out the door with the others. They ran down the stairs and sat on the couch before guests started arriving. Soon enough the house was filled with drunk and sweaty people, every few seconds the doorbell rang again and someone opened it. Lover decided that she wanted to see Speak now, so she walked over to her. "Woah, You look amazing." Lover said excitedly. "Thank you Lover, you look really beautiful too!" Speak now said. "Here, I got you a gift!" Lover said, handing Speak now a box. "Thank you!! You really didn't have to!" Speak now smiled and opened the box. Inside the box was a bracelet that said 'fighting dragons with you' . Speak now looked really thankful and she hugged Lover, but quickly enough let go as soon as she saw a special person arrive. "Sorry gotta go" Speak now said and ran towards the door. Lover looked confused until she noticed who was standing at the door. It was Folklore. Speak now wrapped her arms around Folklore and kissed her. Folklore looked confused for the first second before starting kissing her back. Lover was in shock because she didn't know they were a thing, turns out they weren't until now.
After Folklore finished kissing and talking with speak now and saying hello to other people, Lover grabbed her wrist and went to another room. "You and speak now?! Seriously?? How did I not know about it?" Folklore just stood there a bit embarrassed. "It just kind of... happened, you know, also it's very new, like very new." Folklore said. "How do you even know about it anyways?" Folklore continued. "Well speak now is crazy for you." Lover said and Folklore got happier. "Really?" Folklore said with a very excited voice. "Never seen you this happy." Lover said teasingly. "I'm not that happy wdym" Folklore said going back to herself. "Sure... Sure..." Lover said before walking away, leaving Folklore confused about her own feelings.
Before Folklore could go talk to other people, Reputation went to talk to her too. Reputation got to the party and seconds later went to speak with Folklore. "Folklore," Reputation said. "Hm?" Folklore said softly. "Is your sister coming?" Reputation asked. "No, I don't think so. Speak now isn't really a fan of her." Folklore said and Reputation looked kinda disappointed.
Lover was walking around the party until she was stopped by some random dude who handed shots to people. "Want a drink, beautiful?" He asked Lover. "Um no thanks, I don't drink" Lover said, smiling. "Come on! It's a party! Drinkkk!" He said, Lover could understand that he was a bit drunk himself. "I don't... I don't want to drink" Lover said. "Come on, just take it!" He said, pushing a drink into her hand. She grabbed the drink with no intention to actually drink it, but after about five minutes of carrying it around she decided to try it. She took a sip and actually liked it, and without noticing she finished it very quickly. From there it was just back and forth of her grabbing a drink and finishing it. She lost count on how many she had a while ago so she didn't even think she should stop. She got very drunk.
A girl came up to Lover and looked her up and down. "You look really good, you know that?" The girl said with a smirk. "Um thx" Lover said a bit confused. The girl came closer and grabbed Lover's waist. Lover didn't know what to do, but she would be lying if she said that the girl wasn't hot too, so Lover decided to maybe give it a chance, in case Reputation would never want her back. The girl started kissing Lover's neck and running her hand up and down Lover's body. The girl pushed Lover against the wall as if they weren't surrounded by a lot of people. By this point even if Lover wanted to pull back, she physically couldn't, the girl was pushing her too hard and holding her too tight. The girl started kissing Lover on the lips until Lover couldn't breathe, it was very obviously uncomfortable for Lover. Lover tried to pull back but was just pulled back in again and again. Lover couldn't breathe and tried to push the girl away but with no use. The girl decided to take it a step further without asking Lover for her consent and slipped her hand under Lover's top. Lover kept mumbling something but couldn't talk because of the kissing. The girl kept touching her and pushing her against the wall. Lover started crying a little bit but the girl slapped her and shushed her quickly. The girl picked up Lover, she wanted to find a room where they can fuck.
Just then, Reputation noticed that something was going on. She was sitting with her friends on a couch in the corner of the party, some of her friends were doing shots, but she didn't. At the beginning she ignored the whole Lover scene, she told herself that she shouldn't care about Lover, that Lover hurt her and that she needs to get over it, but something inside her said that Lover really needed help, and even though Reputation was very mad at Lover, she didn't want her to get hurt, or at least inside her heart she didn't. She walked closer to see what was going on but started running towards the two girls the second she understood what it was. Reputation pulled the other girl away from Lover, Holding her by her hair. Lover fell to the ground but got up quickly to walk away from the scene. Reputation looked at the girl dead in the eyes, and punched her, she punched her so hard blood flew everywhere. Everyone started noticing it and made a circle around them, all except Lover, who couldn't watch. Reputation kept punching her until the girl started throwing punches too. Reputation was a lot stronger than the other girl so she punched her a few more times before letting go and dropping her on the ground, blood everywhere.
Lover decided to go grab a drink, again, she was too drunk to even think about how much she had. She grabbed a drink to get everything off her mind, she went to sit outside but right when she sat down on a bench she felt someone grabbing her wrist and taking her away. She looked at who it was and was very surprised to see it was Reputation. Reputation took the drink from Lover's hand and threw it away. "Hey I was drinking that!" Lover yelled. Reputation ignored her and held her wrist even tighter. "Ouch you're hurting me" Lover said. Reputation turned her around to face her, holding her even tighter so she wouldn't move. "Does it look like I give a fuck?" Reputation said, she sounded stubborn and cold, the way she sounded on the first day at her new school. She also sounded mad, at Lover, at herself, at the girl, who knows at what, but at something. Lover looked down. "Sorry..." Reputation kept dragging her into her car and pushed her inside the back seat, buckled her and got in the driver seat. Very quickly Lover fell asleep, though Reputation didn't notice. "I can't believe you do something like that, I mean, you got drunk, made out with someone, also what did you think would happen when a girl like you let a girl like her make out with you, you expected her to pull back? Do you even know this girl? Hm? Lover answer me. Answer me!" Reputation yelled. "Are you ignoring me?" When they stopped at a red light, Reputation turned around to see Lover completely asleep. "Oh" Reputation couldn't help but think how adorable Lover was when she was asleep, she wanted to hate her, she wanted to keep being mad at her, she really did, but she couldn't help but fall in love with her even more. That was the moment she knew she was never gonna stop loving her.
