Chapter 4: The General's Pride

As I stood before my father, General Marcus Atlas, and declared my desire to follow in his footsteps, I could see the pride shining in his eyes.

At first, I was hesitant to approach my father with my aspirations. After all, he was a legend in his own right-a warrior without equal, revered and respected by all who served under him. But to my surprise and delight, he welcomed my interest with open arms, his eyes shining with pride and admiration.

"Are you sure, Sara?" he asked, his voice filled with a mixture of disbelief and excitement. "Becoming a general is no small task. It requires strength, courage, and unwavering determination. Are you prepared to face the challenges that lie ahead?"

I nodded eagerly, my heart pounding with excitement. "Yes, Father," I said, my voice filled with determination. "I am ready to do whatever it takes to prove myself worthy of your legacy. I want to make you proud."

And so, from that day forward, my father became not only my mentor but also my closest confidant and ally. He had always been a formidable figure, a warrior without equal, and to have his only daughter express a desire to walk the same path must have been a dream come true for him.

From that moment on, my father took it upon himself to personally train me in every aspect of warfare. He pushed me to my limits, demanding nothing but the best from me at all times. And though the training was grueling and the days long, I welcomed the challenge with open arms, knowing that every trial and tribulation brought me one step closer to realizing my dream.

Under my father's guidance, I learned to wield a sword with skill and precision, to master the art of strategy and tactics, to command armies with a wisdom far beyond my years. He taught me the importance of discipline and determination, instilling within me the values of honor and courage that had guided him throughout his own illustrious career.

But it was not just my father who took an interest in my training. The soldiers of the Atlas army, too, treated me with a reverence and respect that I had never before experienced. They admired my determination and willpower, and they went out of their way to support and encourage me at every turn.

At the mere age of thirteen, I was already a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield, my skills and abilities surpassing those of many seasoned warriors. And to celebrate my achievements, the Atlas soldiers presented me with gifts of high-quality weaponry and armor, each one a testament to their admiration and affection for me.

It wasn't just the gifts that the soldiers bestowed upon me that made me feel special. It was the camaraderie and companionship that I shared with them, the bonds of brotherhood forged in the crucible of war. They treated me not as a girl, but as a fellow warrior, and for that, I was eternally grateful.

But amidst all the praise and adulation, it was my father's pride that meant the most to me. To see the look of joy and satisfaction on his face as he watched me train, to hear the pride in his voice as he spoke of my accomplishments-it filled me with a sense of purpose and fulfillment that I had never known before.

As the years passed, my skills only continued to grow, fueled by my father's unwavering belief in my abilities.
