"Oh no."
It was monday again, shit! How could the weekend have gone so fast? Last I remember I was playing games with Opera and making my homework. But its monday.. again.
I let out a deep breath I didn't know I was holding in after stopping my demon alarm from screaming in my face. Immediately after I realized what a monday ment. Seeing Kiriwo, the guy who I had a promise with to give a liter of blood each week.
That really wasn't the problem this time though, because he had gone beresterk just a few days ago, trying to pry me away from Asmodeus. I mean, did he even make it out of the fire? Especially after that collar broke, what happened then? Was he alright?
Would he come at all today?
Now that I'm thinking about it, he might actually not be there this time.. and if he is, I can always run down the stairs of that tower because I doubt he has enough stamina to keep up with me. That will be good, a normal monday, one where he doesn't bother me or takes my blood. Even if that isn't totally his fault, but his brothers.
I sighed yet again, slowly getting out of bed, savoring every little second of the warmth that the blanket had given to me. I then walked to the bathroom slowly, Alikred scaring the hell out of me because he suddenly showed up behind me!
"Ali!" I whined. "Don't scare me like that!" I said, holding my chest. Alikred laughed slightly. "I already tried grabbing your attention, Iru-boy, however you never noticed me.." He said, changing his shape into that of a woman, fake crying dramatically. "Im sorry, Ali.." I apologized. "Its just that its monday again." I said, grabbing a toothbrush to brush my teeth.
"Mhm mhm.. So you're telling me you're too lazy to go to school now?" He playfully asked, circling around my head. I shook my head, putting toothpaste on the brush. "No, I have to go see that Kiriwo guy again.. I told you about that." I said, putting the toothbrush in my mouth. Alikred nodded. "Oh, I remember that, I very much do, but I doubt he will actually show up today." He said, making me interested. "Mhm?" I asked, my mouth full of bubbles.
"Well, first off, that collar isn't just any normal device. It takes a lot of energy from the body, leaving the person sick for weeks after its been used." He explained in simple terms. I nodded understanding, and he continued.
"This means that he will be deprived of mana and also means that if he does manage to get out of bed, he is very weak and you will likely be able to defeat him if need be." He explained happily. I nodded again, spitting out the bubbles, rinsing my mouth. "So does that mean I don't have to worry anymore?" I asked Alikred. I was hoping for a nod, but he shook his head instead.
"Unfortunately thats not the case.. That Kiriwo boy might be weak, but if he wanted to he would definitely be able to hurt you. Also, don't you have to worry about that 'Baal' guy too?" He asked me. I shook my head. "I don't think he will meddle yet.. and if he does Kiriwo probably won't be around. Baal is a lot more evil and wicked then Kiriwo is, because Baal isn't crazy. He wouldn't be one of the thirteen greats otherwise. Hes smart." I said, sighing. Alikred nodded slightly, seeming understanding.
"But what if he does show up?" He asked me. "What will you do then, will you fight?" He asked me. I responded by shaking my head. "I don't want to die." I responded. "I'll run away." I laughed. "I don't think he would ever come by himself though.. He seems a busy person, just like grandpa." I said, feeling smart for thinking so much.
Alikred nodded, leaving me and going back into the ring for the time being. I then got dressed, combing my hair afterwards. Once that was done I left to go for the dining table, where Opera and grandpa were waiting for me.
"Good morning Opera, good morning, grandpa!" I said happily, feeling a lot less stressed then when I woke up the first time. "Good morning, grandson." Grandpa said back, waving and smiling at me. "You seem to be quite happy today." He noticed. I nodded. "Im a bit optimistic today.. Haha." I said, laughing slightly. Opera then took me to the dinner table, handing me pills.
"These are the iron pills." He said, giving me the pill and some water. "Those are the drugs." He then added while I swallowed the last pill I'd been given. "And those are the hallucination meds." He then added again, giving me the final set of pills wich I also swallowed. "Thank you, Opera.." I said, still feeling quite offended that he would call Ali an hallucination and lie to me. Ali definitely wasn't an hallucination, what hallucination teaches you magic you haven't learned yet? Not any of them, I think.
Opera then started the breakfast, with me devouring almost every single one of the plates, shoving the food into my mouth. It felt nice filling your belly up, wich was something I still considered a luxury, even though its already been more than a year since I had ever felt the pain of being hungry. Its almost been one and a half years, wich seems so short now that im thinking about it.
Once I was finished I heard someone shouting, a voice I really didn't expect to be hearing today. "Iruma-chie!" Clara screamed from outside. After that I heard Asmodeus yell something at her, wich made me laugh and hurry up even faster. I grabbed my bag, put my shoes on and ran outside, closing the door behind me.
I then ran to the gate, my eyes seeming to glinster. "Clara?" I asked, opening the gate. She smiled, still looking terrible as before. Her eyes seemed less vibrant as before, the bags under her eyes bigger than ever. It made me realize things were not back to normal yet.
"Are you alright?" I asked, worried for my best friend. "Im alright.. I got sleep today.." She said, seeming tired, but still smiling on. "Momma put me to sleep." She then added, circling around Asmodeus. "Thats.. good?" I asked. "Im happy for you." I added. "But why are you here? Aren't you mad still?" I asked, my heart still hurting. She nodded. "Well.. I am.. but every monday you come back sick.." She said, reluctant to talk about it. "Stupid Iruma-chie doesn't know how to take care of himself." She then said, starting a fight between Asmodeus and herself again.
It made me laugh, the two of them looking up slightly. "Why are you laughing, master Iruma?" Asmodeus asked me, seeming to be a bit confused. "Nothing.." I said, continuing to laugh, making Asmodeus laugh slightly too. "It just feels like everything is back for a bit." I then said, making myself and the other two feel a lingering sadness. He nodded, Clara also understanding for once.
So much had changed these past two months. My relationship with Asmodeus, Kiriwo demanding blood, Clara losing two of her brothers and grandpa together with Opera trying to send me back to the human world. Nothing really was the same anymore. Clara was barely talking to us, talking to the girls of the class instead. Asmodeus had gotten angry with me not taking care of myself so many times. I almost died a few times too, and I don't want to be around grandpa and Opera too often anymore because I feel wronged.
It just felt so different now, everything. The others felt it too. Well, maybe Clara the least, because she started the argument again. "You're stupid too, Azz-Azz!" She said, lightly punching him in the gut. "You old grandpa!" Asmodeus yelled, running after her while she ran away. I started laughing again, running after the two.
Maybe it isn't as bad as it feels.
We then came to the school, all of us coming in together, wich also suprised our classmates. Sabnock rushed up to Clara, congratulating her.
"Good work, comrade!" He started, looking at her with a great amount of pride. "It seems thy has been successful in deceiving the two of them with thy beauty!" He said, making it seem much bigger than it was. Clara quickly shut him up, seeming really embarrassed. "I-I didn't have.. any plan.. like that.. I don't need them.." She said, her entire face red.
While she talked with Sabnock, who roared every word loudly throughout the room, Jazz and Lied came up to us to talk. "Aah, it seems the love trio is back again." Lied said, Jazz nodding at him. "Yeah, you guys made up or sum?" He asked, grabbing the controller Lied was holding and holding it far in the air, Lied trying to jump to get it back. "Im in a boss fight! Not cool man!" He said, Jazz not caring one bit.
"So how did you two fix it?" He asked. "Did you just play house with her or what?" He added. Asmodeus shook his head. "Ah, no. It seems she is only tagging along to make sure my master Iruma stays safe." He said, clinging tightly to me. Lied then took the controller back from Jazz, rejoining the conversation. "Really, Iruma? Youre letting Clara worry that much?" He asked, pointing a finger at my chest. "I don't mean to.." I said, laughing slightly.
Kamui, who had heard our conversation joined in. "Yes, yes. You should never leave such a beautiful maiden worry about you." He began. "Especially with her beautiful personally." He then said, making all four of us confused.
"Since when did you stop sexualizing all of the girls in our class?" Jazz asked harshly. "Yeah, this is very unlike you." Asmodeus joined in. The owl laughed. "Well, I don't have an intrest in women that don't look like a woman." He simply said. "She is almost a man to me." He then continued. "But ofcourse, if you just put her in a tight suit, or you put her in a bikini ofcourse id-"
But before he could say any more, Elizabetta, who had been listening into our conversation dragged him away. "Don't say such things about my friend." She said, smashing him into the wall harshly. "Y-yes, my lady.." He replied, Elizabetta smiling with disgust.
Just after all of that Kalego came into the class, so we all hurried to our seats. Clara actually sat next to us this time, or well, against me, just like Asmodeus who was clearly worrying too.
I reassured them that I'd be fine this monday, wich made them back off just a bit, maybe half a centimeter. Then Kalego called out their behaviour, telling them they would get me in trouble, making the two of them slump on the desk, their heads looking at me like that of a puppy's. "Its fine.." I then said, the two of them happily clinging to me again.
I sighed, being hugged intensely by the both of them, wich felt like an eternity. However, the bell soon rang, signalling the lunch break. Now the two of them were clinging to me even more intensely, the both of them hugging me tightly, making me feel like I was getting no air.
Kalego luckily came to my help though, making the two of them back off. He seemed to be in a relatively good mood today for some reason. "Iruma, we need to talk. Asmodeus, Valac, go wait outside." He then said, giving no room for excuses.
He then made me sit down at his desk, staring daggers into my eyes. "So, tell me what's been going on." He started, making me confused. "Huh?" I asked. "Tell me whats been going on with you." He said slightly aggressively. I laughed. I didn't someone like him would have an intrest in that, or would care at all. "Come on." He said coaxed impatiently. When I started laughing slightly, understanding he was being serious, he smashed his hand on the table.
"Stop laughing." He said. "I know something has been going on." He continued. "With Clara and Asmodeus, you getting sick every monday right after or in the break." He said, making me slightly more serious. "Well, don't worry, its nothing." I said, wanting to leave and check the tower.
"There clearly is. If you feel uncomfortable talking about it I won't force you, but im a teacher and its my duty to help." He then said, completely serious. "Also, if you get sick again, I will force you to spill it." He then threatened harshly. "Alright.." I then said. "Sorry for worrying you." I then added. "I promise its nothing you need to worry about." I then added to that. He nodded.
"Thats fine then, go eat your lunch." He dismissed. I nodded, getting up and leaving. Right outside, Asmodeus and Clara were fighting, Clara seeming to try and break the foor while Asmodeus defended it. A metal object came flying to me, me dodging it, it smashing into the door. They then stopped when they saw me, Asmodeus apologizing profusely.
"Im sorry for her stupid behavior!" He said, turning around to yell at Clara. "You could have hit him you stupid old hag!" He then cursed, beginning another fight. Then Kalego came out fron behind the door, dragging Asmodeus and Clara with him. I waved at them while I walked to the tower, the Babelys tower. I slowly Opened the door, being extremely happy upon seeing no one. I then heard a cough from upstairs.
"Iru-" Someone said, coughing even more. "Iruma~" He then managed to bring out.
I knew enough.
He was still here.
And so I slowly walked upstairs, my anxiety increasing with each step I took. And when I finally came upstairs, that anxiety only got worse upon seeing a bruised and beaten face.
"What happened to you?.."

Hi there loves, and thank you all for reading this chapter, I hope you enjoyed! Its a bit longer since I didn't expect it would be this long, but I hope you don't mind.
I don't have anything to tell you exept that I am extremely busy and a bit stressed. I have my PWS begin, wich is something I'll be spending at least 80 hours on (its mandatory for at least 80) I also have my stage wich is basically working for no money for 30 hours (Thats for this year only though) And I will also be working a normal job because I finally found one~
Now I can buy more food.
Also, there will be a phone ban starting next week in my school, wich sucks because I do all my writings in school, just like me writing this right now.
Thereby I might change the day when I upload, like sunday, or might have an irregular scedule and post when I can so im sorry for that. For now it'll stay every Wednesday though, unless I really can't manage.
