It had been weeks since SMG4 had seen SMG3
He missed him so much and was (kinda) good at hiding that fact from his friends... Well... All of them except Mario
Who he just so happened to be hanging next to by his legs at the moment in the same place his maybe-boyfriend was trapped
How did they get there? Why are they there? Well...
It started off as a usual day until a mysterious corrupted dead meme came out of nowhere and attacked Mario
It was when SMG4 tweeted about the situation with the caption "almost died lol" with the dead meme in the background, a couple of ugandan knuckles came out of a portal to collect the meme, but unfortunately, they grabbed Mario instead, thinking he was the dead meme
And SMG4 already knew it was gonna be one of THOSE days, so he went through the portal to retrieve Mario and found himself in the internet graveyard
But when they figured out SMG3 was still trapped in this place, Mario suggested that SMG3 might've had something to do with the corrupted meme that attacked him, and SMG4 wasted no time trying to find him, which was pretty easy seeing how he had a huge frickin' statue in the middle of the graveyard, but when they got surrounded by a swarm of feisty ugandan knuckles and SMG4 told Mario not to move... He did just that... And put the both of them in the situation they're in
So...
As the two dangled over a pit where a VERY hungry troll face lurked, they started to be slowly lowered into the cavity by the red echidnas, both Mario and SMG4 started screaming for their lives
They thought they were done for until they heard a familiar voice scream "STOP!" which instantly made the chain lowering them into the deadly crater stop
"Bring them back up and release them this instant!"
The voice spoke in a demanding tone
The demanding voice felt familiar to SMG4
So as the two were lifted up from the hole they were safely set back down on the ground... Well one of them was... Before SMG4 could put his other foot on the ground, he was swooped off his feet and carried into the air
He couldn't even get a look at who swooped him off his feet until he was placed down on the cloud below him, where he would normally see a lakitu floating around on, so as he looked up at the person who saved him and Mario his eyes immediately lit up when he saw who it was
"Hi hun... You okay?"
SMG3 softly smiled with a hint of worry
"Sorry if they spooked you-"
SMG3 was then cut off by his partner screaming
"BABY!"
And hug tackling him
SMG3 smiled as he hugged SMG4 before SMG4 pulled away to get a quick look at his partner and pulled him into a kiss
God... SMG3 missed this feeling...
Instantly SMG3 returned the kiss, getting lost in his embrace
As Mario watched from the ground he gave a thumbs up
"Nice"
As the two separated they stared into each other's eyes for way longer than needed before SMG4 spoke again
"I missed you so much..."
"I missed you to Glitchy..."
They smiled at each other before Mario shouted at SMG4
"ASK ABOUT THE THING THAT ATTACKED ME AND STOP MAKING OUT!"
Their eyes shot to Mario as he screamed at his best friend
"Oh! Right! Honey? Did you have anything to do with the corrupted dead meme that attacked me and Mario earlier?"
SMG3 was stunned by the question
"Did... Did you say corrupted... Dead memes?..."
SMG3's voice shook
He then frantically looked around for something until he spotted it on Mario's head
"TERRANCE, WE NEED TO GO TO MY LAIR. POST HASTE."
The tiny knuckles that SMG3 apparently named "Terrance" happily clicked at SMG3's demand
The small meme hopped down from Mario's head and started dragging him along
As SMG4 watched this he felt SMG3 gently grab his hands
"Thank you for telling me about this hun..."
SMG3 said in a gentle voice as he continued to look back into his partner's eyes
"You're welcome 3"
SMG4 smiled as SMG3 placed a kiss on 4's cheek
"It's good to have you back..."
