"Lilith"- y/n began.-"Our paths have crossed only in battle. But today I stand before you seeking an ally."
"Sorry?"- Lilith was beyond confused.
"Sorry."- she repeated smiling.-"that's from a book. I'm surprised to see you here Lilith, you look pretty today."- y/n started to play with the end of her ponytail.
"Mmh"- Lilith expected everything but hearing that.-"thank you."
"How are you? Are you here to see Eda? She's kinda busy right now but she'll love to see you. You're not working right? You have some free time today?"
"You talk a lot."- Lilith didn't answered any of y/n's questions.
"And you barely do!"- y/n didn't talked a lot. Did she?
"I am not here to talk. Emperor Belos requires Edalyn's presence and I, as the coven leader have the important mission of-"- Lilith started to explain.
"I see, you don't have time now, you're still doing your missions"- Lilith was definitely not happy to be interrupted, which y/n realized.-"sorry, please continue."- she said softly.
"I will continue doing my work."- she started to walk away.
"Wait! Don't go."- y/n wanted to have a couple more minutes with her.-" I went to the library today."- she said as she sat on the red grass.
"I did not asked for details about your day, human"- Lilith didn't sound interested at all but she didn't try to leave again either.
"Do you know about that 'yelling star' thing?"- y/n asked, thinking of how to convince Lilith to sit beside her.
"You mean the wailing star?"-Lilith's tone got a little softer.-" Perhaps I do know something about it..."- she still wasn't sure about y/n's intentions.
"That thing. Everyone talks about it but I don't fully understand it, you know?"- that excuse could work, Lilith seemed interested now. -"Everything in here is so different, maybe you could tell me a few things about it."- she looked at Lilith with eyes full of 'innocence'.
"The wailing star is the name for a meteor shower."- Lilith sat on the grass looking at the sky. Y/n succeded faster than she expected.-"it's a periodic event, which causes an unpredictable manifestation of magic along it's path."- she was a little surprised at Lilith's explanation, it was exactly as it was written in the book.
"The librarian said they were closing earlier because of it."- y/n looked at the sky too.
"That is necessary because of the effect the star's magic produces on the books, It's known that the content of the books become a physical manifestation- Lilith was excited to share her knowledge.
"Cool, how much does it lasts?"- y/n didn't care about the star but she did want to stay there more time.
"It's not a very long period of time, the rest of the night after you see it."
"You know everything about it, don't you?"- y/n smiled and since the night was cold she got a little closer to Lilith.-"Your teaching capacities are beyond amazing too."
"Thank you, y/n"- Lilith herself moved to get even closer, which turned y/n into a nervous mess.-"it means a lot."
"Good..."- what should she say now? Silence was not uncomfortable but 'silence' and a nervous y/n were never on the same sentence.-" we also have this kind of things on Earth."
Lilith turned her head looking straight at y/n's eyes. She didn't knew much about the human world.
"Not Earth! I mean the human realm."- y/n smiled and surprisingly Lilith showed her a smile too, a properly smile this time.-"there's meteor showers too but they have no magic effect. And there's no boiling rain, that's one of the most strange things about this place."
"You think?"- Lilith was focused on y/n.
"Of course. Our rain is really cold, sometimes it even contains little pieces of ice."- Lilith was became more intrigued about it after every word.-"that's called hail."
"That makes no sense."- exactly want y/n thought about the boiling rain.-"but I can't help to be surprised by it. The human realm must be pretty."- Lilith loved to learn about everything and humans weren't the exception.
"You're prettier."- y/n said automatically and Lilith's eyes widened.
"Oh."- she didn't say more. Humans acted on a very unexpected and unique way.
Lilith's thoughts stopped when the wailing star sobbed as it passed through the sky.
"Wow."-y/n expected it to be longer, it longed like for 3 seconds-"that was pretty too."
Lilith's silence made her feel almost scared. It wasn't that bad, right? Was it too much? Too soon? What would she do now?
"I wish it lasted a few more seconds but at the same time I'm glad it didn't, the wailing sound was not very nice, right?"- she looked at Lilith. And Lilith looked at her with eyes still wide opened.
The nervous human was done with silence. She slowly got up and offered her hand to Lilith to help her stand up too. Gladly she accepted it.
"I really enjoyed spending this time with you Lilith."- y/n looked everywhere but Lilith's eyes.-"thanks for clearing all my doubts."
"I think I enjoyed too."- Y/n didn't knew how much she did. Lilith smiled.
"Will you go to see Eda?"- actually she had to think of an excuse for the emperor since she completly forgot about the reason she was there.
"Not today y/n, it's already late, you should go and rest. And do not tell Edalyn I was here."- Eda couldn't know about Lilith's plans, everything had to be unexpected for the capture to work.
"I won't, take care Lilith."- y/n carefully got closer and since Lilith didn't resisted she kissed her cheek before heading back to the owl house.
"Oh and Lilith..."- she stopped and turned around.
"Yes?"
"You would never capture Eda."- y/n said.
"Just wait and see."- Lilith replied smiling, y/n smiled too and turned again to keep walking.
Lilith stayed there thinking for a while. She felt strangely curious.

"Hi Hooty." y/n smiled.-" is Luz already home? Those ugly babies are still there?"
"They left a minute ago, Luz just meet their mom, hoot hoot."- Hooty opened the door for y/n.
"Your night looks very successful. Look at all that money you made. And look at this cool whistle that scary woman gave you."- Luz was talking to Eda and King
"Hi guys, did you had fun? Iagh there's spit coming out of that."- y/n was disgusted by the whistle
"I'd wash it before they use it."- Luz said.
"Yeah. We did it all for the money."-Eda replied.
"I miss my babies."- King hugged Eda.
"I actually got you something from the library."- Luz handed Eda a book titled 'Coping with Empty Nest Syndrome.'
Eda chuckled.-"Thanks, kid. So, how was your night, humans?"
"Great!"- y/n said with a huge smile.
"Good. Then bad. Then maybe good?"- Luz wasn't very excited.
The door squeaked.-"Hey, you wanna hear about my night?"
"Ugh. No!"
"No!"
"That's not a thing anyone ever wants."

"So you sneaked into the library with Amity's siblings and made a rat monster come to life?"- y/n couldn't believe it.
"Otabin was his name and he nearly killed me and Amity, it was crazy! I almost become paper, nothing!"- Luz's night had been certainly more extreme than y/n's.
"Wow, I had my doubts about books becoming reality but...-"
"It's completly truth! I just hope it was worth it to start a friendship with Amity."- that Azura book really played an important role in Luz's life, befriend enemys was not something y/n was into, at least not direct enemies.
"I bet it'll work. We should try to sleep now."- y/n said before kissing King's nose, he was already sleeping at luz's room.
"Good night y/n."- Luz smiled.
"Good night Luz."- she kissed the younger one's forehead.
Y/n' thoughts rushed to fill her mind with Lilith, Lilith's smile, her soft voice, her eyes. She wanted to drown in her green eyes. Maybe y/n could ask her to teach her more about the demon realm as an excuse to spend time together. That's what she would do.
Well at least she would try...
