"Where are the papers?!" "i-I don't know. sir..!" "Then find them! We don't have time to be wasting!" Sci practically yelled, about ready to burst at the seams from his impatience and excitement. He and his team have been working on a particular experiment. This experiment being one that was left behind by a collection of three Gaster, as they were not able to finish this. So Sci decided to take it upon himself to finish it for them. Or at least do something to make them proud.

With this being the case, he and his team have not been able to even come close to what seemed to  be a proper experimentation. Time and time again they tried and failed, tried and failed. They've been trying for the past two months, and they still haven't become fruitful in it. Each time they think they have made an improvement, it ends up being a failure in disguise. Or in a different anthology;  Each time they tried to take a step forward, they would get tossed five to ten steps back. And that was something was unacceptable in Sci's eyes.

He wanted to see this through. He wanted to complete it. He wanted to make the three Gaster's that worked on this proud. Even if it brought him close to Death's door again. Or even if it killed him.

"Papers!" "R-right here sir!" Alphys brought them to him, as he took them and fixed his glasses to get a better view. . . .Haven taken a long enough but quick moment to look over it and make sure that it was correct, he smiled rather brightly and quickly made his way to the room of sequencing. Or the room of action that some would call it. Or the experiment room as some others would call it. Politely asking the shy and petite dinosaur to follow him.

Once there, he immediately went to his usual scientist mode.

"Tony! Start the engines! Samantha! Run the calculations! Edgar! Start of the Sequencer! Tony, Billiard, Undyne! Start up the Singulator! And George! Go to the switches, and wait for my signal! Understood?!"

With everyone understanding, they quickly went to do what they were told.

Tony started the engines. Flipping the three red switches and pressing the red button that was on the side, watching as the system booted up once again and began to vibrate and produce smoke and electricity as a byproduct.
-
Samantha made sure to tell everyone that was at the panels to proper and approximate calculations. From ratios, to fractions, to decimals, to even doing -PEMDAS- to made sure that she was a precise as humanly possible.
-
Edgar started the sequencer. Pushing up the switches with all of his weight. Stepping back afterwards and watching the screen begin to pull in and add all of the calculations that were put in and still being put in.
-
Tony, Billiard, and Undyne started the singulator, needing to pull on a lever that was on the wall. Two tubes starting to generate a black and white ball within them. The white ball of mass being surrounded in a multitude of colors, while the black ball of mass was surrounded by nothing by a bright blue outline.
-
George went to the room that was in the back of the room, lifting up the rectangular box-lever and inserting the key in the slot, but not yet turning it or pressing the button. Waiting for he signal.

Everyone then stood back, Sci holding up the walkie so he could tell George when. He and his team stood nervously, anxiously, in fear. They watched and waited for the screen to get to 100. They watched and waited, having only two outcomes of the current situation at hand, as they all were betting on the ladder rather than the former.

"Do It Now, George!!"

Sci yelled over the noise into the walkie, George immediately turning the key and slamming his first down on the button, as he then went out and joined everyone that was outside the room.

As he did so, he watched the spectacle that was on hand. The sight of the white ball of mass expanding, and expanding, and expanding, with the black ball of mass doing the same, but getting blacker and blacker; darker, Darker, yet Darker. Up until it suddenly condensed down into a small milli-meter ball, as it b began to split the white ball into smaller balls and smaller balls and smaller balls- the colors multiplying and getting brighter and brighter- the room seeming to get lighter and lighter, but also heavier at the same time. Everything just seemed to just come together. Everything was going so well. So so well..

Until it didn't.

Things began to then shut down slowly; overheat, overload, become overrun with too much information and knowledge. It all became too much, as the influx of calculations and approximations from the other side became too much for the machine. The entire set up of the room just became one massive mini-meltdown on a shortcut.

The white balls of multitudes of mass swirled and swirled and swirled around the black, so fast that it just became nothing but white blurs around a black mass that could be seen through every single white spec and orb. And as everything began to try and merge, like all the other times-

And explosion occurred from the distance.

...

When George came too, he heard nothing but ringing in his ears. Ringing, ringing, ringing- pressure-pressure- it was unbearable. His vision was blurry. Able to see out of one eye almost clearly while the other eye was blood shot and blurry, essentially being blind in that eye.
Once he noticed it, he realized that he couldn't move. His overall body was being squished under a lot of rubble, not able to move an inch. He wanted to freak out, which is what he did, not able to hear himself calling for help, but able to feel himself doing so. He doesn't know how long her was yelling for, but it felt like his throat had seen better days. Which it has. He doesn't even know how long he's been under all this rubble, the thoughts of not being found already starting to creep into his conscious.

.

.

He wouldn't need to worry or freak out for much longer, as a breath of life was breath into his lungs. His eyes shooting open, he felt more life enter his lungs. Along with more and more and more, until he was able to full his whole upper body again.
Lifting his head up, and his hearing staring to make its way back, he heard his colleagues, his friends calling out his name, along with saying that he would be okay, and that they would get him out.
When he tried to move his neck, a spike of pain shot through his spine, instantly stopping there and not moving what so ever. From what he could deduce, he had a possible twisted neck. Meaning it wasn't twisted far enough to kill him, but it was twisted enough to where it would hurt if he moved even a centimeter.

Soon though he was helped onto a gurney, his hands immediately being held by his friends, though not able to see them but able to hear them, as they were saying that he would be okay, and that they would see him at the hospital. Three of them would go with him though to accompany him, so he won't be alone.
A smile came to his face. His throat hurting to much to speak again but, squeezing the hands that were holding his, tears brimming in his eyes.

Meanwhile, as all of this was going on, everyone paused when they heard a scream come from their boss, Sci. All that could look, looked, listening and watching him scream and yell and shriek and curse to the high heavens for and from yet another failure.
The ambulance could only watch for so long before having to make their way with the injured, the rest of the scientist just watching and listening..wishing they could do something or say something..but not knowing what to say.

Sci fell to his knees after a moment, gripping his first as tightly as possible. As tightly as possible being to the point where they became off white-ish in color- that off white-ish-ness in color starting to become bruising when he began to repeatedly punch at he rubble under him with all his might.
Thar bruising turned into cuts, then it turned into gashes, then it turned into bleeding opened wounds. He was absolutely distraught about all of this, the subconscious though of wanting to try again immediately coming to the back of his head.

That was up until his hands was stopped by another, looking back quickly and seeing Fell. They both saw faces that they promised that they wouldn't show anymore. Not even a semblance of it. ..That promise has been broken on this early morning of daybreak.

Snatching his arm back and standing, "..What are you doing here, Fell?"

"That's what I should be asking you, for the ump-tenth-time this time. What the Fuck do you think you were doing!?!" Fell roared, the worry on his face morphing into worried anger; fury.
"T-that's something that you should already know by now..! I'm doing something that could completely change history! Something that would get and put science on a whole new league..! I'm doing something that was meant to be done already..!" Sci yelled back. His throat barely able to hold out much longer but he had to make a point

"By killing yourself?! By putting yourself on the brink of death on a multitude on a multitude on a multitude of an occasion?!"

"I'm doing what I have to do! I'm doing what was supposed to be done by now, but was not able to be done because of its impossibility!"

"And it is because of that impossibility that the people who tried to do it ended up dead in the first place! Do you Fucking understand you dipshit!?! You could have died!!"

"Well I have to take the risks that need to be done! I want to break and bridge the way and that wall to that impossibility! I just..I-I just need one more chance!"

"Wha-..No! Absolutely no-"

"What do you mean 'No'?! I have to do this! I Need to do this! I need to prove everyone wrong! That the impossible is possible! That the unreal and unrealistic can be real and realistic! Please, I just need to try aga-"

He didn't get to finish his sentence, as a punch came to his cheek. Sci was so caught off guard that he fell back onto his back from it, being completely frozen in his shock.

"I! Said!! NO!!!" Fell quite literally roared, the fluff on the hood of his jacket glowing a soft red, along with the red eye light in his eye socket poring in rage.

"Every other god Damn TIME you have tried this, it resulted in an outcome that was similar to this or Just like this! I almost lost you 5 different times! That's five Fucking times that I almost lost your perfectionistic ass! Always needing to prove someone wrong and such! Always needing to put your life on the line for the sake of proving someone and something wrong!!"

Sci slowly and shakily sat up, holding his cheek as Fell yelled at him. That punch brought him back to reality..the reality that he had almost lost along the way.

"You..you fucking promised me that you wouldn't do this again! And look at what happened today! You almost killed yourself and the people around you! Your friends! Your colleagues!"

Sci looked up to Fell, seeing the sadness and worry and anger in his eyes, tears streaming done his cheeks, fists shaking.

"Stop thinking about yourself for once and think about the people around you! Do you understand?!" He didn't respond at first, being too in shock still to respond.

He would have to answer though, as he was snatched up by the collar of his shirt, looking dead into Fell's eyes. "Do You Fucking Understand Me?"
There was a growl and venom in Fell's voice, wanting to be sure that he got his point across, which was acclimated by a nod from Sci. The moment he got his answer Fell pushed him back down into the rubble. but storming off, about ready to break down but keeping himself together.

Everyone watched him go..before their eyes eventually landed onto Sci, who was looking down at the ground, who was looking at a ring in the rubble.

It was golden, with a now cracked garnet gem in the center.

"..samantha.."
