【 CHAPTER NINE ! 】

MELISSA, JULIE AND EVELYN WALKED INTO THEIR HOUSE, Evelyn started to head up stairs to put away her stuff but was stopped by her sister.
"Wait, lyn, where're you going?" Julie asked the girl.
"Uh, my room, why...?"
"Why don't you come outside for bit? Get some, uh, fresh air." Julie told her sibling. "Uhm no thanks, it's cold and musty out-"
"Come on."
Before Evelyn could answer Juliana started dragging her outside. "Why are going outside?" No one answerd her. Instead, Melissa opened the sliding door, "What are you guys doing-?"
"Suprise!"
Evie jumped, covering her face when she realized that she was being recorded, remembering she didn't have make up on.
"Oh, my, God."
Evie saw all of her friends and the rest of her family. Evelyn's face lit up when she saw one of her best friends, "Leah!" Evelyn said, going up to hug the girl, "Oh my gods I can't believe you finally back!" Leah said, returning the girls gesture.
Evelyn let go of her friend and went over to her brother. "Welcome back, e.g.g head." Alex said as he ruffled up her hair. "Please stop call me that." Ever since Alex found Evelyn's middle name was;
Grace, he made his obligation to call her 'eggy' or
'egg head.'
"Never."
Evelyn went around and hugged the rest of her friends, thanking them for coming. Evelyn finally made it to that person, Walker.
Ever since the Ryan posted they comment an about Walker having a crush on the girl, things between them have been pretty awkward.
"Look who it is, my favorite white boy!" Evelyn said making the boy roll his eyes playfully as she hugged him.
"Ha, ha. You so funny." he hugging the shorter girl. "I bet you're so happy that i'm back."
"Oh totally, i'm so happy that the girl who bully's me every day is back." he said with a sarcastic smile.
The two finally released each other. "Okay, I have to go up stairs and change. I'll be back in a bit."
"Change? Why? You look perfect." He said, making the girls face turn red.
"Well, thank you, white boy. But, I don't think I wanna take pictures in my spider man pjs."
Walker looked down at her pants and agreed,
"That's true. Plus, Batman is way better." Evelyn scoffed.
"Okay now you're just begging for me to bully you."
EVELYN SAT AT HER VANITY, doing her make up. At first she was just going to do mascara and lip liner, but then she put concealer, then blush and highlighter, and then just ended up doing her whole face.
Evelyn has always been told that she was naturally pretty and didn't need to make up. But now matter how many time and people told how pretty she was, she could never see it.
"Why am I like this?" Her eyes were fixed on her own reflection, meticulously examining every trace of makeup on her young face. Evelyn stared at herself in the mirror. What kind of 13 year old wears this much make up? she asked herself.
She looked at the picture of her and her Dad in the mirror. Her dad always knew how to make her feel better. A wave of emotions washed over her, and tears welled up in her eyes.
Just then, a knock at the door interrupted her thoughts. "Shit," she mumbled, hastily wiping away her tears, trying to compose herself. With a deep breath, she called out, "Come in!"
"Hey, your mom's wondering when you'll be coming downstairs," he said, a smile on his face.
"Oh, um, just give me a few minutes to slip on my shoes."
As he stood there, he couldn't help but admire her. "You look stunning," he complimented her, his voice filled with genuine admiration.
Blushing, she replied, "Thanks, white boy," her cheeks turning a shade of pink. Walker couldn't help but notice her reaction, and a mischievous grin crept onto his face. In that moment, he couldn't help but think, I bet Dylan could never make her blush like this.
