My eyes fluttered open and before I moved, I shot my eyes around.
I'm alone,
I sat up and looked around the place.
A soft sense of uncomfortable feeling took over me and the memories of Hael and I flooded my mind. I looked down at my hands that rested on my thighs. I fiddled my fingers together as my cheeks grew pink.
I thought it would be more painful...
It was rather nice,
I let out a deep breath. I don't have time to dwell on this. It's time to leave.
I threw the blanket off and got off the bed but as soon as I tried to stand up, my legs gave away

I barely handled myself by grabbing the bed sheet yet I slipped down.
Oh My God!!
I blinked in confusion, then my ears got red.
Ah, this must be because of the sex!!
I let the bedsheet go and sat down. I had to take a moment for myself. I buried my face in my hands, then sighed, gathered my strength and stood up.
It took some effort but I managed to take my body to the window.
I peeked out through the curtain, not wanting to attract any attention. Everything normal from the outside but there was also the fact that I barely have any mana and so I can't see his magic unless someone touches it

I saw two people running towards the forest behind the mansion. A maid and a butler, but before they could enter it they both struck an invisible field, the place they ended up hitting glowed slightly, indicating magic.

I see, there must be a magic barrier around the whole place.
This means Hael should be busy killing the others in the mansion at this time.

I saw a magician reach up to the duo who were trying to escape. His cloak was dark green in color, he used magic to slit their throat but right before the act, I let the curtain go and stepped away.
I didn't want to see that.
I pursed my lips in fear, then shook my head

I don't have the time for this. I walked over to the closet. Got out a shirt and pants to wear them, then got out my leather bag and wore it. Then I walked over to my dressing table and opened the drawer to pick out the two most important things.
The teleportation scroll and the magic knife.
I'm going to leave because I want to live. I want to be free. I want to be happy
And I know about my feelings but with our situation, I wasn't really happy with it.
We're both just broken people. Especially me,
So I wish to rediscover life again and I wish to rediscover love. I placed the scroll on the floor but as I was about to stand on it, I remembered something.

I walked back to the bed and made a dummy with the pillows there. It wasn't even convincible but it was what it was. It was funny, my own skills made me laugh.
Gosh,
I feel sort of light...
Maybe it's because I know I'm about to leave.
I stared at the dummy, then went for my neck. Gently I took my heart-shaped pink necklace off and the moment I did, the shine it had died down. I got it permanently disabled.
Serena was the one who did it for me. I had no idea she possessed such a large amount of mana but I'm also glad she did. I got the work done without any suspicion. The shine in it continued because of my mana, I only had enough to keep it shining.
I stared at it, then placed it on the dummy.
Well, that's done.
I covered my pathetic attempt with the blanket and then walked back to the scroll.
I stood on the teleportation scroll as I held the magic knife in my hands. With one last glance towards the door, I cut my palm, letting the blood fall on the magic symbols and activating the magic
I smiled, a sense of peace creeping into my being.
This was a difficult two years but I'm glad it's over. I have no regret I'm leaving behind.
I closed my eyes and looked in front.

"You must be wondering if I'm going to kill you or not," I said as I watched while Tracy's body levitated on the staircase railing.
She was pierced by the railing edge taken out with magic, blood kept falling down from her but she wasn't dead. An injury like that is extremely painful but it kills you slowly.
"Ah," She tried to speak, "H," But couldn't get much out of her mouth.
"I wouldn't have done this, but you gave My Lady a lot of hard time." I smirked, "So, I'll let you die on your own." I passed her a smile and she tried to shake her head to beg me but every small movement sent crucifying jolts of pains in her body, so in the end all she could manage was to cry.
Tears dripped down her face but it wasn't amusing to me. But it was amusing when Nancy 'accidentally' bit her tongue off. Now I wasn't the one who pushed her off the stairs. It was Tracy, the only thing I did was make her teeth razor sharp for a few seconds. The impact of the fall did the rest of the work. That's why she went quiet.
Things with Corvina were quite amusing. Although, I did not expect things to get so bad for her. Part of me still doesn't understand why I helped her while she was imprisoned. I have done unexplained things in the past two years.
But somehow doing that seemed to calm me as well.
Weird,
I stared at Tracy and then I got annoyed.
"You know what, you'll be the only one who I'll let get a taste of being burned alive too." I smirked, "You're very deserving of that." Her eyes went wide with fear but what could she do?
Absolutely nothing.
"Sir," A lower rank magician came running to me
"What?" I turned my attention to him.
"Um," He was nervous, "T-the lady, Lady Corvina,"
I frowned, "What about her?" I stepped towards him, "I told you to leave her alone, I'll see to her myself."
"Yes," He nodded, "No one hurt her but-" He gulped, "We did go into her room after seeing a small flash."
"Flash?"
It clicked in my mind immediately.

I burst through the door and stepped into her room. Stomping my way to her bed where she lay under the blanket, I grabbed the sheet and yanked it off.
...
Unbelievable.
I stared at the empty bed of Corvina, that only had a dummy that made it look like she was under the covers. It was a very bad attempt but the blanket did cover her pathetic efforts.
"Did you look around the mansion?" I asked the four magicians in the room with me.
"We did," They replied, "She's not here."
Something caught my eye

I moved my hand to pick up her necklace. It was out of power.
No way,
A sense of unease took over me. When did she do this?
This can't be,
I casted a magic barrier around the mansion. If anyone got out or came in I would know.
My eyes darted around.
She was here until a few hours ago.
I clenched my fists in anger
She was right here, sharing her body heat with mine!!
There was a surge of unexplained anger inside of me. My eyes darted around, looking for an explanation when I saw something on the floor.
A broken crystal knife along with a few drops of blood.

I went ahead and grabbed it. It would take no genius to understand what she had done, not after seeing that magic knife. It was out of power as well. It could only be used twice. She used it once on me two years ago. I looked at the blood. Her blood.
And now she used it on herself.
"She teleported her way out." I tried to sense the magic but there was no trace left of it, "And she used a high grade scroll as well," I clenched my fists in anger
Wait!
Then I remembered something else and ran to her closet. I opened it up to look for one specific thing.
No, No, No!
It can't be. A cold knot of dread formed in the pit of his stomach when I noticed it wasn't there either.
"Hah," I let out a sarcastic scoff.
The bag she had been putting high grade jewels in was gone as well. The realization hit me like a physical blow, and a strange feeling bubbled inside of me.
I didn't like that she was gone.
It looked almost as if all of this was planned. I gritted my teeth. Like she always planned to run away and leave no trace behind.
I looked at the lower rank magicians.
"Find Corvina," I had so much anger boiling inside of me, I ended up glaring at everyone, "Find her at any cost and bring her to me, ALIVE, UNHARMED"
