Days later,
Yomi had seen Shisui acting very weird lately, like too guarded, he keeps looking back to see if he was being followed and was very tense, Yomi was naturally worried for him and after a few hours of tossing and turning on her bed, she couldn't sleep, so Yomi decided on walking around the streets of konoha, until she smelt some blood, more specifically- Shisui's blood, being a dragon slayer made her senses enhance greatly, though she could always suppress them when needed,
She ran towards the place where Shisui's blood seemed the strongest, the nakano river, and saw 2 people talking there, she hid behind a tree, and focused on their conversation. She realized that the two men were Itachi and Shisui
"There's no way to stop the uchiha's coup d'etat anymore.. a civil war will happen in the leaf and the other countries will take advantage of it to attack... it will turn into a war.." Shisui said standing on the edge of the cliff
"When I tried to stop the coup d'etat by using kotoamatsukami, Danzou stole My right eye.. he doesn't trust me.. I decided to protect the village my own way." He then faced Itachi
"He'll probably try to get my left eye aswell... I'll give it to you before it happens" Shisui said reaching his left hand up to his face and taking out his eyeball without flinching
"You're my best friend, the only one I can ask this..please protect the village and the Uchiha name.." Shisui said handing Itachi his left eye
Shisui then began to back up the cliff and fell off, before his body even touched the water of the naka river, it disappeared, Yomi had teleported him away to another dimension
Itachi was too sad to see his best friend gone that he didn't notice that there were no giant splash sound coming from the river, he awakened his mangenkyo sharingan,
Yomi ran away, back to the house and into her bed, hoping that she did the right thing, she waited for Itachi to come home and knocked on his door, making herself seem like she just woke up from a horrible dream, holding her pillow
She saw Itachi on his bed with his lights turned on and awake looking at her
"Yomi what are you doing here?"
"I had a bad dream.. can I sleep with you?"
"I see.." he scooted over to provide some space for her
Yomi climbed in the bed with her pillow and Itachi hugged her
"Now sleep.. its late.."
"... Goodnight nii-sama"
Next afternoon,
Things went back to their normal routine, though,
Soon after that, the three siblings sat side by side, with Itachi in the middle, the sun was beginning to set, giving the place an orange hue,
The silence was comforting, until Itachi broke it
"Sasuke, Yomi.. Am I unpleasant?"
"No nii-sama.." Yomi said while hugging his arm
"...." Sasuke kept quiet
"Its okay if the both of you do, The three of us are flesh and blood.. I'm always going to be there for you guys, even if its only as an obstacle for both of you to overcome, even if you do hate me, That's what big brothers are for.." Itachi looked at the both of them lovingly
"To answer your previous question, I won't hate you nii-sama, no matter what you do.." Yomi smiled brightly (an- oh if only she knew..)
"That's great to hear.."
After some time.. Banging came from the door
"IS ITACHI HERE?! COME OUT WE NEED TO TALK!"
Some Uchiha members were outside, and Itachi went ti the front door to talk to them, the other 3 members glared at him when they saw him come out
"What is it everyone?" Itachi asked politely,
"We had 2 men missing at last night's meeting, why did you not come?!"
"....."
"I can understand that you've been occupied with various missions ever since you joined the ANBU, your father also told us that, he's looking over you.. however, we have no intention of treating you any differently"
"I understand, I'll be more careful from now on.. please leave"
"Yeah.. but before we do, there's one more thing you need to answer, its regarding the suicide drowning in the nakano river last night.. of Uchiha Shisui" one of them stated suspiciously
"...!" Itachi looked surprised for a bit, but no one noticed
"The other man that did not arrive last night was Shisui. I thought that you considered Shisui as a true brother.." the one next to him said, with underlying meaning behind his words
".. I see.. I haven't met with him recently.. that is sad to hear.."
"So we the police force have decided to investigate this incident fully.."
"An investigation?"
One of them took out a note from his pocket and handed Itachi the note
"This is Shisui's suicide note, we already finished the handwriting analysis, it's no doubt his writing"
"If its suicide, what's left to investigate?" Itachi said, knowing that they were implying something
"For those who can use the sharingan, its quite easy to forge one's handwriting"
"Its written on this little piece of paper. Following his suicide note"
'I am tired of the duties..
There is no future for the uchiha...
And for me..
I can't walk on the "path" any further...'
"He was feared as Shisui of the mirage, and one of the most talented Uchiha.. he was someone who'd do any mission for the clan.. I doubt a man like him would leave something like this behind and die"
"It is wise not to judge others by your preconceptions and their appearances.." Itachi glared back
"I'm going to leave that will to you.. take that to the ANBU and request that they investigate as well"
"Understood..."
"I definitely hope there will be other evidence"
The 3rd Uchiha finally spoke "We, the police force, have other connections to ANBU as well. If you try to hide anything, we'll know right away" he said and walked out with the other 2
"Why don't you be more direct?.."
The 3 of them halted in their steps
"So, you are suspicious of me?"
"Yes, brat"
Sasuke and Yomi who were hiding behind the wall were surprised.. well at least Sasuke was,
"Listen Itachi.. if you betray the clan, you won't go unpunished"
Itachi snapped and punched all 3 of them out, they were no match for Itachi,
"As I've just said just now... Don't judge others simply by your preconceptions and judgements of their appearance.. You assumed that I have patience... The clan, the clan you all fall to measure your own capacity, and as a result you lie between here" Itachi said, looking down at one of the beaten bodies
"Shisui was told to keep an eye on you.. within half a year of your entrance to the ANBU, your actions and speech we're getting stranger than ever.. what exactly are you thinking?!" One of them raised their heads shakily
"....you hold onto the organization, your clan, your name... These things limit our capacities.. These things deserve to be shunned.. It is foolish fear what we've yet to see and know.."
"STOP ITACHI!!"
