Abhiraj POV
We both finally reached home, as we both get off the bike
Turning around, My eyes fell on her, whose eyes were closed due to heavy rain, hairs all wet as she let her hairs open on the ride and saree drenched in water,she rubbed her face with her palm to clean the water off
An chuckle escape my mouth, when she tug her hand around my arm and snuggle closer to seek for slight warmness, shivering
"Chaliye ander chalte hai, Thand lag jayegi abh" I said, taking her hand in mine, before taking my steps ahead but stumbled when she pulled me back
"Thodi der rukiye nah, kitni sunder barsaat hai" She exclaimed with an smile, while her appearance said something else
"Aur agar aap bimar ho gayin toh?" I asked back while turning my eyes in thin slits to prevent the water to get into my eyes,
"Barsaat hamari dost hai, ham bimar nahi hote" she replied as an chuckle left my mouth hearing her,
"Chup chap chaliye nahi toh mummy sari dosti-yaari ek daat me khatam kar denge aapki" I warned her, who just gave me an mischievous grin and nodded her head
Entering inside the house slowly, without making any noise, we both slipped off from our shoes and stack them on each other, keeping them aside
Roaming our eyes sneakily inside, we both slowly made our steps, when suddenly the sharp voice of mummy startled us
"Haye ram, kya haal bana liya dono ne apna"
Face palming myself, I looked across the living room, when my eyes fell on mummy, who was sitting there while thinning her eyebrows in anger
"Ma ghussa hai kya?" I looked down to glance at nandini, who whispered slowly while looking at maa continuosly
"Nahi, abhi aakar pyaar karengi hame" I replied sarcastically while passing an smile to her, who just gave me an side eye, before travelling her eyes to the floor when mummy stood infront of us
Shaking her head in disappointment, she took the two towel from the hanger beside the door, that she probably hanged for us, and keeping each on our heads, She firstly rubbed nandini's hair with towel while scolding
"Barsaat shuru huye do ghante ho gaye hai aur abh aa rahe ho tum dono, bimar nahi ho jaaoge?" She ranted while looking at nandini with stern gaze, who just looked at the ground while playing with her fingers
"Maaf karna maa" I heard her slow voice as she formed an pout from her lips, that made me escape an small chuckle but soon, I regretted when maa shooted an glare towards me, followed my nandini
Dropping the smile on my face, I also looked down, while maa came to rub my hairs with towel too but harshly
"Ahhh,dheere" I whinned while holding her wrist, who stopped to give an smack on my head softly
"Apne sath, bahu Rani ko bhi apna jaisa bana liya, Jao ander dono abhi ke abhi, aur garam pani taiyaar hai, nahakar, Chaddar dhak kar so jaana, Nahi toh ek bhi bimar hua nah toh vedy ko bhi nahi bulau"
she scolded sternly, while pointing towards inside with her fore-finger
Smiling hearing her, as we both know she will always take care of us, no matter what,
We both nodded our head, before going inside

Coming outside the bathroom while rubbing my hairs, My eyes fell on nandini, who was sitting infront of the mirror and braiding her hairs probably after drying them out
An unknown smile forms on my face, looking at her, Walking towards her, I stood behind her, taking her hairs in my hand, brushing my fingers in them and I started braiding them
"Aapko banani aati hai?" She asked looking at me from the reflection
Nodding my head, while focusing on the braid, I could feel her gaze on me,
Leaving the braid on her back, I kept my hands on her shoulders and looked at her from the mirror
I sensed her gaze, as she thought of something and blushing while standing up and pushing me away slightly, I saw her slowly making her steps towards the bed laying,
An chuckle leaves my lips, knowing what she was thinking about and turning off the lights, I also made my steps towards my side of bed and laid,
Pulling her closer, while wrapping my hands around her waist, I kept my head on crook of her neck,
The same warmth, The same touches, The same closeness felt differently soothing today, Snuggling my face deeper, I took an glance of her face
Eyes held tiredness while cheeks were crimson red, Breaking the eye contact, when my eyes gaze fell into hers, she looked away
Chuckling slightly at her, I pulled myself up to place an peck of her cheek,
Making her look at me, by placing my palm over her other cheek, I pulled her closer, Putting her head on my chest
"Subh ratri" I mumbled, closing my eyes, I felt her hairs tickling on my neck, when she nodded her head, and soon, the tiredness of whole day took over both of us and we drifted to sleep

Night, 1 am
Abhiraj's eyes fluttered softly, when he heard small whimpers, Taking an deep breath, while patting his hand over nandini's figure in his sleep,
He again tried to sleep, but the small whimpers continuously ringed in his ears, as his eyebrows knitted and opening his eyes slowly, He rested himself on his elbow and looked at nandini
Wrapped in the blanket whole, while her forehead peeking out little, an smile forms on abhiraj's lips looking at her
Coming closer, he patted her head before placing an kiss on her forehead
But
The instance his lips came in contact with her forehead skin, He felt the burning hot sensations
Opening his eyes more, He looked at her being awake now,
"Nandu?" He called out, voice as soft as feather, while pulling the blanket little lower
Holding onto the blanket tightly, Nandini let out an small whimper again
Being wide awake, he sat on the bed, Pulling the blanket off slightly forcibly as nandini was holding on it tightly, He touched her forehead with the back of his hand
Pulling his hand back when he felt the burning hot feeling of her skin, His eyes widened a little
"Inhe toh kaafi tej bhukhar hai" He mumbled to himself, before touching her cheeks again,
Snaking his hand under her head, He tapped on her cheeks slowly, "Nandu?" He again called out her name
Earning an small painful whimper from her as an reply, he made her lay straight on her back, Pulling the blanket over her
Quickly getting off the bed, he walked towards the cupboard and taking out an cotton dupatta of nandini, He teared her dupatta in half and folded it
Walking inside the bathroom, He filled the mug with the water and walked back towards her
Sitting beside her, Abhiraj dipped the cotton dupatta in the water and wringing out the cloth, He folded it before placing it on her head silently
Being as silent as he could, he looked at her face, The tiredness of her face was still visible, Admiring her face with concern, He waited for few moments before flipping the cloth
Abhiraj's eyes wide opened, when he saw nandini opening her eyes in between, Taking an deep breath, while turning her head towards him, She let out an small whimper
"Abhiraj ji" she called out, Her voice barely audible for him,
Quickly sitting up straight, Abhiraj hummed in response to let her know he was here,
"Abhiraj ji, sir dukh Raha hai" Her tired voice let's out , as she again closes her eyes and tilts her head towards the other side
Her chest doing ups and downs, with her each deep breath
Looking at her with concern in his eyes, He snaked his hand under her head, Pulling her head over his laps softly, Abhiraj put the cloth aside
Looking at her face, when her shaky breath fanned on his palm, Abhiraj's gaze fills with softness
Ruffling her hairs, while brushing his fingers in her hair knots softly, Abhiraj placed his palm over her head, before pressing there
Feeling the hotness on his palm when he pressed on her forehead, Abhiraj's heart fills with hurt, when he sees her eyes fluttering in her sleep,
The uneasiness on her face was visible, with her eyebrows knitted
Snuggling her face, closer to him, Nandini raised her hand to hold his kurta
"Abhiraj ji" she called out slowly
Quickly replying to her, by holding her face in his palm, Abhiraj looked at her with love, "Haan nandini ji? Jyada dard ho raha hai sir me"
Shaking her head in denial, nandini let out an uncomfortable whimper, "Abhiraj ji, Pani" she said, Nodding his head quickly, Abhiraj stood up from the bed
Going out from the room, Abhiraj entered inside the kitchen, Filling up the glass with water, he again made his way towards his room,
Keeping the glass of water on the drawer beside the bed, Abhiraj tapped nandini's forehead softly, "lijiye Pani" he said, while trying to help nandini get up
Who turned to other side
Looking at her confusingly, He again called her name softly, Earning an sob from her, Abhiraj's eyes quickly widens, Keeping the glass aside, He sat beside her
"Nandini ji?" He called her out, looking at her face, he saw small tears brimmering on her eyelashes
"Abhiraj ji" she called out, shaky voice while an sob also left her lips, Abhiraj softly touched her burning hot cheeks with concern in his eyes
"Ji?"
"Abhiraj ji, Bhookh lag rahi hai" Her lips slipped off the words, Nodding his head immediately, Abhiraj made her lay on her back to get comfortable, Keeping the cloth on her forehead

Abhiraj quickly walked towards the kitchen again, Keeping the pace fast
Abhiraj pulled out the ingredients for soup, Pulling out the already chopped vegetables from the fridge, He poured the small amount in the untensil on the stove
Pouring all the ingredients in the untensil within span of few minutes, Abhiraj stirred the mixture for once before again making his way inside the room,
Watching on nandini, Abhiraj sat beside her, Looking at her face with concern, He called her name out
"Nandu?" Earning an small nod and whimper from her, He placed an peck on her forehead
Wringing the cloth again, He placed that on her forehead, before again pacing his steps towards the kitchen
Stirring the mixture for few moments and again making his way inside the room to check up on nandini frequently for half- hour
Not forgetting to place an kiss on her forehead in each round, Abhiraj finally prepared an veggies soup
Pouring the soup in the bowl, He entered inside the room, Looking at her figure that laid on her stomach, Abhiraj kept the soup on the drawer
Looking at her with tiredness in his eyes but concern for her taking up his heart more than the sleepiness in his body and in his eyes
He sat beside her
Tapping her shoulder, He looked at her, who had tears stained on her cheeks, Knitting her eyebrows in discomfort, Nandini let out an painful moan
Watching her tilting her face to the other side, Abhiraj placed his palm on her cheek, Making her look at him
Opening her eyes half-closed, nandini looked at him with heavy and shaky breathes, Filling the spoon full of soup, Abhiraj fanned an blow to it to make it slightly cooler
Forwarding the spoon towards her mouth, He said "Nandini ji ye lijiye, bhookh lag rahi thi aapko"
Moving her head towards the other side, Nandini let out an sob,
"Nandini ji" he again called her while forwarding his hand further
Pushing his hand away, Nandini laid on her stomach while small sob's leaving her mouth, "Mann nahi abh hamara" she replied
Looking at the soup for what abhiraj ran in the whole living room in night, He tried to feed her for some time but getting his hand pushed away each time, Abhiraj gave up and kept the soup aside
Taking her in his arms softly, He placed an soft kiss on her forehead for the countless time, Looking at her face that had mouth parted in slight pain, Eyebrows knitted, cloth kept folded on her forehead and hot breath of her fanning on his cheeks
Abhiraj's lips curved down looking at her, "Abh kesa mehsoos ho raha hai nandu?" He asked, voice so soft alike his feelings for her
Whimpering in pain, another sob left her mouth, "Pure shareer me dard ho raha hai Abhiraj ji" she said, Nodding his head before placing her on bed softly
Abhiraj stood up, sitting beside her feets, His hands raised to touch her feet, when nandini quickly pulled her legs away
"Aap kya kar rahe hai?" She asked, The same tired voice
Looking at her with concern, Abhiraj replied innocently "Aapke pair dabba deta hua nandini, Pure din se sabse zyada dard aapke pair me hoga"
"Nahi, Aap pati hai hamare, aapko hamare pair nahi chhune chahiye" she said,
The whimpering in her voice said anything else
"Aap hamari patni hai, aapka khayal rakhna zimmedari hai hamari" he replied, shaking his head at her, he started massaging her feet
Letting out the small groans, when his hands pressed the places of her feets and legs which were hurting, Nandini face palmed herself, Breathing heavily, she closed her eyes
"Abhiraj ji, kamar me bhi dard ho raha hai" she said, arching her back to relief the slight pain,
Quickly nodding his head, Abhiraj stood up to sit beside her
Placing his hands on her shoulder, He massaged softly over her shoulders and the back
Groaning and letting out muffling sounds, An smile forms on abhiraj's lips watching her knitted eyebrows soothing in comfort slowly
He could see the sleep again engulfing her, as he finally stood up from the bed,
Taking the cloth in his hands, He again wringed the cloth and folding it, he kept it on her forehead,
Pulling her over his laps again, He started to press her forehead over the cloth softly,
Holding on his wrist, Nandini slowly opened her eyes to look at him, "Abhiraj ji, yaha so jaiye" she said while patting the side of her bed
Abhiraj looked at her side, Shaking his head in denial, he again looked at her, "Aapki tabiyat kharab hai nandini, Ham aapka sir dabba dete hai, Aap so jaiye" he replied, The same tiredness could be seen from his voice too
Nandini opened her eyes to look at him, Smiling to him little, she tried to stand up, Quickly placing his hands on her shoulder, He looked at her with concern
"Kya kar rhi ho aap?" He asked, voice slightly stern
"Hame sehaj mehsoos nahi ho raha hai, Aap bagal me so jaiye, Hame aapke sath Sona hai" Her soft words melted abhiraj's heart, Looking at her, who stared back at him with half closed eyes
Eyes slightly red due to tiredness and fever, While her hands still held his wrist, Nodding his head
Abhiraj placed her softly on his beside, Before again placing the cloth on her forehead after wringing it, Abhiraj laid beside her
Bringing her closer by putting his one hand wrapped around her waist and other under her head, Abhiraj brushed his hands in her hairs
Looking at her face, to examine her facial expressions which held slightly uncomfortableness, when she snuggled into his chest
Knitting her eyebrows, while trying to snuggle more in him for comfort, Nandini left an shaky breath
"Abhiraj ji" she said, eyes still closed with eyebrows knitted in irritation and hands holding on his kurta in fist
"Ji?" He asked being unsure of what she wants
Tapping on his chest continuously, Nandini opened her eyes slowly, "Abhiraj ji" her voice again called
Closing her eyes again, she forced him away,
Not understanding her discomfort, Abhiraj looked at her briefly, "Kya hua nandini, Kuch chahiye?"
Nodding her head, nandini pulled his kurta in her fist with eyes closed
"Ye utar dijiye" her words ringed in his ears, as he looked at her face for an moment, shocked
Looking at her face that held discomfort, He stood up and without making any other thought, Abhiraj pulled out his kurta in swift moment
Laying back beside her, while snaking his arms around her figure, He saw nandini snuggling her face in his neck, Her hot breath fanning on his chest as he admired her features
The knitted Eyebrows were soothen on the forehead now, Feeling her wrapping her arms back over his shoulders, She kept her leg over his torso
Pushing him back, Nandini laid over him, sleeping like an baby with her face in his neck, An soft smile forms on abhiraj's lips, understanding she is feeling comfortable finally
Still keeping the cloth of her forehead that touched the chin of abhiraj's face, he flipped it to the colder side, Sliding his fingers in the back of her head, he pressed there softly to ease the ache she might be having
Snuggling her face even more, sleep again engulfed nandini completely, as abhiraj placed multiple pecks on her forehead, Looking towards his side on the drawer
His eyes fell on the clock, It is already 4 am in the morning
Finally letting out an tired breath, Abhiraj closed his eyes and sleep didn't took long enough to take over him too
