Lucas's Pov
...
I woke up with a really bad headache and I found myself in a completly different room
Where was I .....?
I looked outside up at the ceiling and tried to get up, when suddenly the events of yesterday came flooding back into my brain
I checked my body for injuries, they were none for they were all covered by bandages. I remember Amika coming to my rescue after she called me for. the 3rd time. Then I found a little sleeping body right next to me
I kissed her head and covered her with the blanket when she started stirring in her sleep, and she then finally woke up
"Daddy..?" she said groggily in her sleep
" Yes princess, " I said while smiling at her
"You came, why do you have those sticky things you put when you get hurt on your body" She asked me
"You see, daddy got hurt while doing something so I had to put them..." I said
" Aww poor daddy....."She said. It was then
that I finally noticed that she was wearing different clothes than the ones she was putting on yesterday. Infact she had a full set of new pyjamas
" Myra.." I called her
", Yes Daddy.?" she looked up at me
" Who gave you those pjs?" I asked whi3o putting her on my lap
" Miss Mika got them for me when we went to the store after you left daddy" She said
" Oh that was very nice of her, let me go and check if she is awake ..." I said.
"I'm coming along too" Myra said quickly
I chuckled
"Okay, Okay, let's goo..."

I gently knocked at Amika's sorry and waited for a response.
"Come in".... a feminine voice said
As soon as Myra heard that, she went running through
"Myra sto-" I tried to stop her but it was too late
She jumped on too Amika's Bed and hugged her.Amika chuckled softly and hugged her back
She sat up in bed so that she could properly face Myra
"How was your night?" She asked her
"Very Nice, I dreamt that I was a Rapunzel who had to kiss a frog to turn him into a prince and then wear a glass slipper" Myra explained
"Wow, you managed to dream about all three movies all at once" Amika said while tickling Myra
It felt so natural watching this scene....as though it happens everyday, as though it's... it's......normal
"Oh Lucas, why are you standing all the way over there, please come in..."Amika Said while tying Myra's hair as it wss falling onto her face and into her mouth
"Good Morning" I said with a smile
"Good Morning" she too replied with a smile
God...she has a very pretty gummy bear smile. What am I saying , I have a girlfriend
"How did you sleep" She asked me
"Pretty good, despite the fact that she kept rolling over me" I said with a small chuckle while looking at Myra who has obviously too busy with something
"What about you, how was your night ..." I asked
"I slept pretty good for the first time in a long time" She said
"Oh, I forgot I have to get to the Office" I remembered, I was too busy having a good time that I forgot all about work
especially after the events of yestarday
"But what about your injuries and besides, you need to find the people who did this to you" She said in a matter of fact tone and a hint of worry
" Let me just make a call and that will be sorted out....could I take a shower" I asked. She agreed and showed me where the bathroom was. I was about to leave when I remembered something
" Hey, did you buy Myra any pyjamas" I asked her. "Well her clothes were covered in tomato sauce and I didn't want her to go home covered in soup so we got some clothes on the way, as an apology for those messed up clothes, which by the way I did wash" She said while figiting nervously and looking down at the ground
I made her look up at me and then I told her " Thank you so much for that kind gesture and don't worry, those are not too expensive to get cleaned. She nodded and I left to shower

Amika's Pov

While Lucas was showering I decided to make some breakfast with the help of Myra of course
"So Chef Myra, what's on the menu for cooking today"I asked
" Bacon, Scrambled Eggs, Toast, and Pancakes " She listed for me without making one mistake on the words
"Okay, then let's get cooking, * started on the Pancakes and Bacon since they took the longest, while Myra popped the O
Toast into the toaster.
2...,5...8...10 pancakes
1...3...6..9...slices of toast
20 strips of Bacon
and some Orange Juice
ah this looked neat. Myra and I looked at what we had done and we fist bumped each other. We just needed to get a little bit cleaned up

When I was done showering,I could smell something very delicious, my stomach was literally salivating
I was slowly toward the kitchen and found a put toghter breakfast
"Tada..we made breakfast daddy"Myra said excitedly
"Is that so and the three of us are going to eat together" Myra said joyfully
I had never seen her this happy over breakfast
"Uhm I wouldn't want to intrude, Myra" she said.So I pulled her hand and made her sit at the table
"Please ??" I said

Have I mentioned to you how much I hate puppy dog eyes.Because no matter how much I try, I can't resist them
And now I see where Myra got her puppy god eyes from......Lucas
When he gave me those, I couldn't say no, so I just decided to eat with them. It was actually really nice
Myra was telling us her stories about her little dolls and stuff

Lucas was now leaving with Myra for the office.I was saying goodbye to Myra
"And remember, don't forget that you can call me anytime , pinky swear you won't forget me" I said
" Pinky pwomise" She said while entertwining our fingers together
I hugged her and kissed her while she got into the car
I went to the front door and said goodbye to Lucas " Please Lucas, no more thank yous, anytime you need me I'll be there " he finally said goodbye and started the car
Since I wasn't going to the restaurant until 1pm I decided that I would go back to sleep

I couldn't stop thinking about Amika, she was so kind to me and my daughter, something Eva couldn't do very well....
I looked back at the back seat and Myra was playing with her toys so quietly...
Finally I had reached home, my younger step-sister was in town for the weeknd so she decided to come and stop bye
My medium blonde step sister was a result of my father and my step mother, both who are really good people
Everly decided to stay in town for a while before going for college
"How is my favourite nieceeee...", Myra went running towards Everly, "Aunt Evewy, I missed you sooo much" she said cutely
I walked towards them "I missed you too baby" she said while tickling her," I have some presents for you, go on run they're inside the house". Myra ran off into the house immediately
"Hey bro, how's it going" she said while resting her glasses atop her head "You know, couldn't have been better"I replied with a weak smile
"I know things are getting harder by the day bro, with this company, but always know that I'm there with you" she said while hugging me
"I'm going to the office, so I'll see you a little bit later" I waved goodbye and drove off

As I was driving, I suddenly gained 10 kph when I hadn't yet even touched the accelarator,
I tried breaking, but the car wouldn't even stop a bit, I was now at 100kph.....

I was afraid that my car was going way too fast and I tried to slow down the speed but to no avail....another 10kph gained
and it was just my luck that a truck was coming my way, with alot of woman and children
I decided to pick the safer ot
option,I switched lanes but immediately I did , I got hit by a car
